I was at 203 this morning, without really doing anything good or bad. that's a 4lb loss from earlier this week, after that yeast-laden Thanksgiving meal on Sunday. so there probably is some merit to trying at least cutting back on stuff. I have a charity event next Friday that's a wine tasting, so I may as well just wait til then if I'm going to completely cut it out. but in the meantime, I can clean up my act in removing yeast/yeast extract from things I eat/cook with that just really shouldn't have it anyway. um, stocks and broths, anyone? keep up the good work, everyone

Chiv....take a look at the menu/diet plan of Dr. Weil. My neighbor has been put on it by her OB/GYN for some female inflammation problems. It's a very simple way to eat. Even online you can see his food pyramid. At the bottom is veggies. I've been trying to use it too....lunch to day was veggies and 1 hard boiled egg for protein.

It has your tea listed Jag.....neighbor has said this plan has helped her back somewhat too. All I can say is that I'm feeling just a little better now that I'm trying this....of course, I could try a little harder....

I talked about it on this board somewhere before, thought it was this thread but maybe not. it goes beyond just a basic inflammatory response. but this is likely helpful too

Another week... Another wrench in my plans. My step-brother passed away on Sunday, so I was on a plane to Texas on Tuesday and I am here through Saturday. I have been cooking some of my stepdad favorite things in order to get him to eat. A lot of homemade breads and other things i shouldn't be eating. I am trying to make due with what foods are in the house. Not much chance for exercise, obviously. So ready to be home... ugh! What a week.

Wretched amount of food for me these last two weeks.
DS bought DH a Fitbit because I made the mistake of telling them about the Stridekick app. For the last three months, we’ve had a family competition. DS has had a Fitbit since last Christmas, but DH has been using his iPhone. DS thought the iPhone was giving DH too many steps. Since Sunday, DH’s step count has increased by 25% using the Fitbit instead of the iPhone 😆 DS is not pleased.

Thanks, everyone. It has been a rough week... but I am back home and ready to get back in to a normal routine again! Half of my family was sick and on meds... hoping I didn't pick anything up. Wouldn't that be my luck!

I am completely ridiculous in how much food I'm consuming. I'm going to post here every day what my calories. I'm blessed with a fantastic metabolism and need to use it. I'm hoping the threat of public shaming is enough to get back to reason. Feel free to ignore the posts or smack me around.

I have been tracking my calories in my fitness pal for the last 20 days. Which is the longest I have stuck with it. Usually after the first week I get discouraged and quit. I have only lost 1 pound but I am also still eating quite a bit of sugar. So I need to cut back on that. I have tried to keep my calories around 1800.

I walk/ran four miles yesterday. Felt good. Plan for the week is a two day break from walking/running and do strength and flexibility exercises at home, run more on Wednesday and Thursday, yoga in the park Saturday. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Got my new cheapy Amazon band for the fitbit, back in business! It did log a good amount of steps for me in my pocket Saturday though. Feels good to be able to wear it again... have to be very strict on my eating this week, first few days of WW did not go well since DH brought home 15 godamn big Kane's donuts from his weddings this weekend. I did restrain myself though, I only ate like 2.5 the whole weekend.

I got this one - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0TI9K3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 practically identical to the one that came with it.
