Me too. I need to, I feel awful. I took several days off to do a garage sale, and I ate out too much this weekend too. It's still kind of exercise, hauling totes around for the garage sale, but I need a good workout.

YOGA!!!!! Lots of forward folds, pigeons, happy babies, triangles for your back. Boat poses and planks for your core. Feel better! ON IT. did a few poses yesterday. Going to see what I can do tonight without hurting myself.

Did a 2 mile power walk and I think I'm going to die!! The intervals kill me. That and the bouncing. I think Leslie Sansone binds her chest or something because she doesn't bounce and I do. And it's not particularly comfortable.

It’s travel season for my job. Which means I will spend less days at home than on the road this month. And I’m already off to a bad start: bacon/egg/cheese buscuit for lunch and pizza for dinner. Tomorrow has to be better, because let’s be real, it can’t be worse! I have a power walk on the agenda for tomorrow morning. Best I can do in a hotel. At least I’ll be home for at least one weekend day each week so I can get a good workout in. It’s a good thing I love my job.

45 minutes of yoga and stretching done! My back is already feeling better. Managed 7500 steps today, which will have to do. I am going to ice my back and relax it before bed.

Well, I was halfway through Zumba class and my blood sugar took a nosedive. Luckily I learned from the last time and have been carrying sugar with me. I stuffed a few candies in my face and pushed through. I'm now at home eating fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. Im over 17K steps for the day, so not bad considering.

I skipped my workout yesterday morning and ate a crap lunch, but I ate a decent dinner. Did 30 mins of barre this morning (my body is gonna hate me tomorrow) and had a decent breakfast, but I had Cafe Bustelo with 4 sugars and 5 creams and then lunch was a deli sandwich and chips (department lunch due to training). I'm still stuffed.

I can't with yoga. I would much rather fail around and twerk during Zumba. Yoga is too calm for me.

check out vinyasa yoga - lots of moving around, sweating, and shaky muscles. It's what I usually do when I do yoga. It help give me nice definition in my shoulders and upper back - tons of planks will do that.

don't underestimate how much work holding a pose can be.

Well, if it turns out to be As great as you say, it might end up being a Friday workout since Zumba is M-Th. I'm thinking about trying Pilates a day a week, but I can't seem to tear myself away from Zumba though.

don't underestimate how much work holding a pose can be. I'm sure it's hard as hell, but I'd be asleep before I ever found out. The calm even tones were killing me in the couple things I checked out.

my sister does vinyasa and loves it. I've tried basic yoga and pilates, and almost fell asleep during pilates. the basic yoga was difficult for me b/c one wrist no longer bends 90°. I didn't love it. but, today's local daily deal is a 5-class package at a Bikram place for $29. I'm leaning toward getting it, since they have 915am classes. that's perfect! take the pups on a quick stroll around the neighborhood before, then let them out in the backyard to chase each other while I hose off. idk... any of you ever try it before?

I forgot to step on the scale this morning, but I've been hovering around 204 since I came down a little from having eaten like a frat boy for a couple weeks. my favorite jeans are a little tight for my liking, and I still feel a little puffy. but, I am continuing to behave myself with food choices, limiting snacking and all that. dinner tonight is pretty healthy, an Asian fusion burrito where the worst thing involved is the tortilla. lol...
will try to hit the scale in the morning and report back.

I have been getting better about food. I was living on fast food for a minute there. I'm trying to eat as clean as possible going forward. My problem is saying "Ah, screw it. I'm going to the gym." just before the chicken nugget gets shoved into my face. I need to be stopped.

I can't with yoga. I would much rather fail around and twerk during Zumba. Yoga is too calm for me. I hurt my back, trying to do Zumba would have killed me. I do a blend of yoga and Pilates. It isn't boring and when done regularly I see and feel more changes in my body than when I did Zumba regularly. I used to be all "heart pumping cardio or bust" but after an injury a few years back I learned the real benefits and won't give it up now.

who was it (and where? b/c I don't think it was in here) that was talking about trying to figure out how to limit herself to 1200 calories/day? out of curiosity, I plugged today's meals into MFP. I eat two actual meals with a snack in the afternoon at my desk, during the week. weekends are usually a big brunch and then another smaller meal at some point later in the day. this works for me, because I'm not hungry 95% of the time first thing and if I force myself to eat right away, I'll just get sick. brunch - 515 calories 16 oz coffee w/milk 2 eggs over easy, on top of wilted spinach on unbuttered wheat toast w/3 turkey sausage links. cooked the links first, the egg and spinach were cooked in the grease from the links. snack - 195 calories 16oz iced coffee w/a little cream for the drive to work 32oz unsweetened passion tea from Starbucks 1 serving parmesan goldfish crackers dinner - 650 calories Asian inspired pulled pork burrito w/cabbage slaw and kale total of 1350 calories and I am comfortable. I know that if I pick up the yoga sessions and love it, I'm going to have to reexamine my routines and intake. for starters, there will need to be at least 1T of peanut butter before going to said yoga class. what do the rest of you usually run?

I just started keeping track of my calories on mfp and I am averaging 1800 to 2000. I want to keep it closer to 1500 so I need to start making better food choices. I was away from my house working, taking care of my mom and helping my brother for 13 hours today. I was exhausted when I got home but vowed to try to get at least 10,000 steps a day so even though I would have liked to plop in my chair I walked for 2500 steps to get to 10,000. I feel better about myself because I didn't just give up but I also overate today to get to 2000 calories. Whenever I go to my parents house they always have sugary bakery things and I end up eating some just to be polite.

MFP has me at a 1200 calorie goal but I don't think I will ever hit it.

I finally made it to the lunchtime workout yesterday (the second to last week of it ) and boy, I feel it today, in a good way! The kids running it do bootcamps and training and nutrition and it's a gooooood workout. We're looking into extending it for another session, I would definitely go more. They're doing a 30 day challenge that's free for the folks who buy their Herbalife shakes or whatever, and my nurse and I are thinking about trying it. She's done Shakeology before and liked it, but I haven't tried any of those shake programs - anyone have any input? I'm willing maybe to try it for the 30 days, depending on price.

Got 75,000 steps last week.
Food choices are not great since I'm on vacation. But Monday and Tuesday I walked 11 miles a day hauling my butt all around the Disney parks.

Went to the bakery to order a birthday cake for YDS, and he also wanted a donut for today, so I got myself one, too, planning on only eating half. Of course, I have no willpower.

I'm trying motivate myself to go to the gym tomorrow for bootcamp in the morning since I'll be off in addition to Zumba in the evening. It's not looking promising.

I tend to be around 1850/day. I have a desk job, but I get a lot of steps in daily, so it works for me. Days that I put in a hard workout (versus just walking for my exercise/steps) I might eat a little more. I'm someone who clearly hasn't found the right yoga class as the ones I've tried have felt like a big snooze-fest. I can't imagine adding yoga into my routine would make me change my eating habits. However, I'm also someone who wakes up hungry, ready for breakfast every day, so my eating schedule probably plays a part in that.
