On the step challenge, can we enter steps manually? I have gone back to work after July and most Of August off, so I'm wearing skirts and dresses. That means I can't keep my phone on me most days. My generic Fitbit doesn't sync with Stridekick. I was going to switch my settings to manual entry, but I can't verify anywhere within the app that it's set to accept manual entry. Here's today's steps based on the generic Fitbit. You are already killing the step challenge, so nope, no extra manual entry Kidding of course. I have no idea. I think sarcasticgirl has to change some sort of setting to allow manual entry for the challenge. And then you'll only be able to participate in challenges that allow manual entry (I tried to change to that and this is what the pop up message told me).

I have about 10 days showing zeros in last month's challenge, but I'm just going to leave it. I'd still be in last place anyway.
I haven't been exercising much, but working on setting up and cleaning up from a garage sale. Probably won't be doing much formal exercise this week, either. Too many appointments and running around with kids. Weight is down towards the bottom end this morning. Yay! Now if I could just break through the 150 barrier.

My step count has gone way down now that I'm not doing a step challenge. I had used the treadmill during the step challenge as the elliptical only registers half my steps on the fitbit. I went back to the elliptical yesterday and it was fabulous! I feel like I get a better workout and it's easier on my joints. I could feel my thighs burning. Then there's the horrible amount of squats we do during Zumba. Ugh.

Did a workout today and I know I'm going to be feeling it tomorrow so tonight's goal is to walk the dogs and then get outside with the ladder and paint for an hour. I really need to get up on the roof and paint but I'm slightly terrified of heights so that is probably going to be the last bit I do. I did paint last night but it was all by the ground so paint-slash-squats should count double, right? I still forget to wear my garmin half the day but I'm getting better at it! Finally, Whole 30 challenge is going well, I picked up some fruit, berries, chestnut butter and tomatoes at a roadside stand today which should help round out my meals this week. I need to make enough room in the fridge to cut up the mini watermelon I bought + prep more protein and potatoes later on. I'm not missing sugar too bad and ever since I found sugar-free bacon I'm all set

We went to the PA Renaissance Faire on Monday and according to my friend's tracker we walked 9,000 steps. Well, she did. I'm plus or minus a few.
Walked 3 miles yesterday in 42:43. Felt good!

My DH gave me his cold. which is fine for today and tomorrow, but I need to be better by Sunday. I have big goals for exercise Sunday and I don't want to have to put them off b/c my DH couldn't be bothered not to breath on me while sick.

Yesterday my job told me that I'm not in the budget anymore. I totally skipped the gym and got drunk instead. I regret nothing. Today I'm running errands since I have some free time now.

No worries. I've already had one interview. When someone like me comes up for grabs, I don't stay up long.

When I do use them, I only get half. I've had it tell me that I've gone 1.5 miles and only give me about 1500 steps.

andi- good luck with the job search, I hope you're snatched up by a company you love!
I felt like utter crap on Thursday and ended up spending half the day in bed with a heating pad and topping up on meds. Friday was a little better so I went to my workout at the gym and then, later on, did the grocery shopping. Some meal prep yesterday and made a few dishes but OMG I cannot wait to feel 100% again.
No idea where my garmin ended up, which probably meals I won't have any idea of my step goal. I finally figured out that the connector to the computer must be broken so when I decide to spend the $20 to buy a new one I'll get that synced back up.
Still on Whole30, day 10, and it's going fine.

so I spent last weekend basically eating and drinking whatever I wanted. between that and Shark Week, I feel puffy, stuffed, and just overall gross. this weekend has been a lot about purging and cleaning the kitchen, so in line with that, I made two healthy batch meals that helped me clear vegetables from the fridge as well. after what we snacked on this afternoon, I've got 4 to-go containers of turkey chili. there's also a spaghetti squash pie on the stove, cooling off. it's meat-free b/c the chicken sausage I thawed from the freezer wasn't even close to still good, and it was a small squash to start with. so I'll call that 4 portions as well. I'm determined to get myself back on track.
tomorrow's goal is to get out to the canal with the pups before work. if I can get 2 miles in, I'll call that a win.

Mine has always been fairly accurately.

Weekly check in
Missed step goal by 3035.
This weeks goal is going to be 65000. There will be 1 or 2 days where I know steps will be difficult to get.
Have a good week everyone.

Well, my cold didn't completely knock me down. Saturday was the worst day, but we had tickets to the local university's football game and I got plenty of steps in walking to/from the stadium, as well as around the stadium. I'm starting to feel slightly better. I feel bad for my DH, his cold is still hanging on and was much worse than mine ever got!
Hope everyone has a good/better week!

I'm very excited. Yesterday I did 36,000 steps Most steps I've ever done in a day, and it's the first time I've done more than 100K steps in a week. My goal for this next week is 125K steps.

How did you get in 36,000 steps? I can hardly get 10,000 in unless I go to Disneyworld and walk all day, then I can get in about 20,000. I am always looking for new ways to get in more steps.

I really didn't plan today well at all.... I have the gym at 2pm but then a live training call at 4pm after I'm all sweaty and gross. I have been moving boxes today and cleaning the house so getting steps in (not that I'm wearing my Garmin...) and trying to stay cool. We're back in the 80s but with 40-50% humidity it feels so gross.
Time to do more laundry and then take the ladder back outside so I can paint tonight!

I'm ready for this week to be over! I'm so darn tired. DH's cold turns out to be bronchitis, and he's been keeping me awake all week with his coughing, even though he's in the other room. This day is dragging, and I ate way to much at lunch. So now I'm fighting the urge for a nap. I've kept up on my steps, mostly b/c DH is home coughing on the couch, so I've been working out/walking after work more than normal.

I overdid it at the gym yesterday. I'm sore. Glad it was my last day for the week. I'll recoup this weekend and start over on Monday.

Currently enduring a sinus infection and an ear infection. My steps have been the bare minimum. Ugh. Mind you, this happens just as I get back to going to the gym during the day. I missed a 5k last night. Blah.
Weight is pretty much the same. I need to find the energy for a ton of food prep. I just get sick and end up eating canned and bread and neither are good for me!
Going to try and do some yoga tonight... I am so achy and everything is tight.

I'm progressively getting more sore which is what happens when I overdo it. The second day (tomorrow) is gonna be a bitch and then it will start to get better.

Pretty good week overall - I've stayed compliant on Whole30 even though I really wanted something sweet today. Had 3 good workouts at the gym + 3 nights of painting + moved 20+ boxes to the attic so I feel like I kept very active. I'm having a smoothie for my "dessert" tonight as I work on my computer tonight and plan to do several more hours of painting this weekend.
Goal for the weekend is to take the dogs on at least 1 walk to the park + spend an hour at the gym either swimming or lifting weights.
