I am up FOUR pounds from last week. WTF? who even knows! hilariously enough, I am feeling less puffy. oh and I tracked my food last week and had a deficit of 500 calories or more every single day except saturday since we went out to a brew pub for dinner. I had ONE beer and ditched half the bun on my sandwich.
ditching the scale again for a couple of weeks so I don't get frustrated. just staying on track and eventually the progress will come.

I wiped out over the weekend and fell down the basement stairs. It will be interesting to see how zumba goes. I have a huge bruise on my arm and another one on my leg. Fun. My ankle doesn't feel great either right now. I may skip it. We'll see.

I'm up from last week - I didn't deskbike at all and definitely ate terribly. I did make my first workout of 2017 - swimming yesterday. Desk-biking today (will only get 45 min because have a late meeting pretty soon here) and I've eaten terribly but at least I'm doing something.

I'm getting better about drinking water. Tracking it daily is helping. I've been up to 60oz per day the past few days. I pee a lot.

I think they tell you to drink lots of water because it can be part of your step count, if need be. Jeez. I know I've had previous kidney issues but every half hour gets a bit annoying. ETA: I've started steeping a lemon zinger teabag in my water, once or twice a day, no sugar. Adds some flavor for me without the calories. May try some fancy teas and see how they work.

I went to zumba last night and survived. My ankle wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It still hurts, but I can make it through the class.

I'm down about a pound from whenever I checked last week, but we had the stomach bug over the weekend. honestly I'm just disappointed I didn't lose a little more, and I know it won't stay off. lol oh well. Going to try to go to the gym and take a brisk walk after work today, I have a gap before going out to dinner and the weather is crap so I can't do it outside. Joining weight watchers next weekend after we get paid again and I have a little $ wiggle room!

Hopefully WW will help. I've heard good things about Slim For Life too. Is there one in your area?

When I'm not, less than 6 cups and a few days of that gets me major leg cramps at night. You'd think I'd learn but I keep slacking off every couple of months.

I was utterly useless today. Went to bed at 7 this morning then woke up at noon because DH fell in the living room and hit his head on the settee. So took a shower and went back to sleep on the couch after getting him off the floor. That was all I did today until coming to work. I guess technically you could say I lifted weights getting him up off the floor.😛

Well surprised myself by working out TWICE this week. Swam a mile last night using a swim workout I found online. Lots of kick and stroke refinement, it was slow grueling work but I did it. But really I only did it because DH and I came downtown to eat a fancy lunch and see Hamilton today. Totally worth it! I keep forgetting if I work out I can eat. As soon as I can walk again may attempt another workout. TBD.

I'm struggling getting used to my new schedule. I have an hour less time in the morning to work out and get ready and I've always been a before work exerciser. My new gym is too far away and I don't like the one that is closer. And I'm not in a city where half my daily exercise is just from walking everywhere any more. I know one answer is to just get up earlier, but I love my sleep! Or go after work, but that feels like it's taking away from family time.
Ok, sorry for the first world problem whine. I'll figure it out, eventually. In the meantime I'm going to console myself with a cookie

I did OK yesterday, ate moderately but then had some cake after my smart one hard for me to get a lot of walking in some days, especially when I'm tethered to the office doing stuff or covering phones. Tonight's my late night at work so I won't get much done, but hopefully I can do some walking during the day. Joining WW this weekend!

We're moving offices the first weekend in March. While I hate the thought of working in Sears tower and I hate the location... I am so excited that we are getting standing desks. I had one for the last 5 or 6 months at my old job and it helped with my back and shoulder issues SO MUCH! also- they just opened a huge gym and it is only $120/year for tenants. A couple of coworkers and I are already making plans to hit it up. No workout since monday- steps are down due to working 11 hour days. Came in at 7am today, leaving at 2:15 for a Dr. appointment and then heading home. Hoping to get my steps in before I log in this evening to do a couple of hours of work. Food- OK. I just ordered a mini freezer (like a chest freezer, but front opening) for extra storage because I never have enough room to do much food prep for busy nights and right now we just stocked up on meat and have no room for frozen veg. Planning on doing some great healthy food prep which will make life much easier!

sarcasticgirl: Yes, we moved in December. To the mountains. Which in theory is great, b/c we like to be outdoors and will hike and such, but it's been rainy and cold since we got here. I'm having trouble getting used to driving again. Just walking to/from work got me half way to my step goal for the day in Chicago! It'll just take some getting used to. I mean, I've been here for like 5 weeks. I'm probably putting a little too much pressure on myself at this point to have it all figured out.

I'm skipping zumba tonight to go to a hispanic chamber event. I should feel bad about eating tacos and drinking beer instead of going to the gym but I don't. Not even a little bit.

Jk, signed up for WW this morning, $40 for the three months! I have a coworker doing it and she's super excited to show me how to use all the app functions. Now have to figure out what I can get for lunch that I can track accurately, no chains within walking distance I could get a salad at and I have no car today...

So I did an arm workout from Fitness Blender today at lunch just to do anything. Man, they are weak! It was 9 minutes and some of the muscles are still whining about it. Food wise I was doing ok yesterday until my oldest came home and said I brought you some pizza Mom. I have to find some way to work out more so I can have pizza. I was good and only had one slice.

I've also just changed my work schedule, going to flex time. It'll be great having a three day weekend every other weekend, but after being out of the house for 11 hours a day, the last thing I feel like doing when I get home is going to the gym. I know I should suck it up and just go, but I have no motivation.

@empressspunkles, I hope today was better for you.
I definitely prefer going to the gym in the morning. I force myself to go to bed earlier so that I still get six to seven hours of sleep if I have to get up at 5:00am.
Have any of you dealt with birth control pills? Did they make you gain weight?

I'm confused regarding the freezer. We have a full-sized, standing freezer in our garage. What do you mean mini-freezer? Like a mini-fridge size?

The taller size. We went from having the side by side fridge freezer to the old school with the little freezer on top. I hate it. Sent from my SM-N920T using proboards
