And the Chair person of the DNC has declined to speak at the convention. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/dnc-chair-wont-speak-at-convention-after-email-leak/vi-BBuKq56I assume she will still appear on stage and open the convention? So, it looks like the Democratic convention will have their hiccups too And yes, I know it will be a piece of white bread cake compared to the Republican convention, so let's not compare the two! What happened to diversity on the ticket? Unless you consider the VP pick as the conservative on the ticket, for balance this fall.

Four years ago we were told by mass media we would never see old white people elected to the office ever again, because of diversity in the voter classes. Only took three years to prove mass media wrong!

dj, this is a general comment. Consider the link as Value Buy. And you know it is true. I take that back, they never denied an elderly white woman would never be elected. Democrats love long shots!

So, dj, what do you surmise is the reason she is not going to be a speaker at the convention? Bernie was still demanding her resignation this morning, as he continued to sell out and bCK cLINTON IN THE FALL ELECTION.

I so did not want Kain I think he was a good pick for the ticket. He will save the part of the blue dog Democrats from crossing over to Trump this fall, and give some Democratic voters a slim hope, the Clinton Presidency would not turn us in to a socialist state immediately. Her problem is, does it scare more Bernie backers away from her and they stay home. She just locked up the vast majority of Spanish voters also. Over all, a good pick, but it remains to be seen if he was too safe of a pick.

So if Clinton would've picked someone for VP that was known to be more liberal and won the elections, we would automatically jump straight to socialism. And God knows that very few people don't confuse socialism with communism or dictatorship!
Should I also understand that if Trump and his VP win the election, this country will certainly take a turn to anarchy/theocracy/corporatism/nationalism and so on?
I'm assuming that most if not all of you understand that the President and his VP can't do squat without the Congress! And also that no matter who wins, the Constitution and its 27 amendments will still stand!

No Blacks No Hispanics No Asians Don't folks have to announce their candidacy to participate in debates? Should blacks, Hispanics and Asians be dragged in to participate in debates even though they have no desire to be President of the United States? Hadn't we been hearing for the last 4 years that Clinton would be running for president in 2016 and had the best shot of any Democrat of winning the nomination all that time? Clinton, the former first lady, former U.S. senator from New York and former Secretary of State? If any black, Hispanic or Asian felt like he or she had a chance to win the party's nomination over Clinton, don't you think they would toss their hat into the ring?

Then a minute later Kaine qualified that prediction and said if they do not have a majority, Ryan is easy to work with.

deminmaine, I agree with you. He was a good pick for her. He will always have her back covered. Unfortunately, will that be enough. And the interview was an exact opposing interview from the Trump/Pence interview. Clinton came off......almost........likeable.
Of course her answer on the DNC e-mails was really lacking. I immediately thought about her e-mail problem based on her answer and the back up question she was given. There could have been a one or three word answer deploring it, and she could not so it. Evasion of the issue was rampant, and she went into her defense mode, in an interview session fro m someone she had no worries of being picked on. I am not sure there were plenty of other people thinking the same thing.

The Russians did it! The Russians did it! Look at the flashy thingie over here! Do not pay attention to the actual incriminating e-mails. How ironic it is the Russians exposed how rigged our political system is setting it up as rigged as their system is. We have become as monolithic and corrupt as the Putin political machine, but do not know it. This is not just a Democratic party issue. I would love it if they had hacked the RNC. I am welling to state here and now, I imagine there were discussions on how to try to derail Trump's rise to the top. Or were the Republicans a little smarter than that and had a secret server off campus, with a secret e-mail address to do their dirty work

Her negatives with the voters are at least somewhat changeable, while Trump's largely are not. Her positives, experience, and knowledge far outweigh his. The economy is largely in a recovery mode, and we are largely at peace, save the remnants of GWs disaster.
We are not at peace, and Libya and Syria is at either Obama's or Clinton's feet, or a combination of both, as Obama had to sign off on Clinton's direction. Yes, the economy is largely recovered, but most middle class citizens are under employed and working for if lucky, 75% of the hourly rate they use to get.

In my opinion, Putin knows Trump is a weakling, knows little how the world really works behind the scenes, and would be essily manipulated by him.

Clinton has already attacked Putin as fomenting political discourse and not afraid of brutal murders. Do you think Putin thinks much of Hillary Clinton? I doubt it. Trump says he will make great deals around the world. Maybe Trump is the answer to turning Putin around, because they can hold a conversation and they will make great deals! Anyone Trump names as Secretary of State has a very low bar to cross when trying to accomplish anything due to his two predecessors track record.

Look over here at the shiny pinwheel. It's the Russians that are interfering with our fair and balanced Democratic party!
Yep, that is it. Next we will be told they manufactured the e-mails and they were never on their server.

Anyone Trump names as Secretary of State has a very low bar to cross when trying to accomplish anything due to his two predecessors track record. I think if you believe Trump is going to make great deals with Putin, you are going with feel good hope vibes over logic. Trump wouldn't make that many great deals because frankly he makes lots of bad deals. And that's in spite of the fact he can always walk away. Politics is global now. Walking away is at best a temporary sometimes not even 24 hour thing. I don't think Trump can cope with that kind of reality.
Trump says a lot of things. Very few are true. I'm going to say his puffed up belief in his deal making falls in that category as well. The man hired a guy who had almost no experience in the mortgage industry to head up Trump mortgage. He went with the resume I guess because it sounded good and did not do due diligence. If he's that lazy and careless with his own money and deals, why do you and others believe he will do better when its taxpayer money and a country he can move away from?

He really likes expensive trips and gifts! He got a few. They were legal and properly reported. By Virginia's shady laws. By about 49 other states, maybe not so much. Now go find how many states are lax on this, because I am way too lazy to research it. I do get it, that it is lawful. It does not make it morally correct. If you throw out the "gifts" or kickbacks, I think he is a good man. I like him. He even makes Hillary look almost likeable. If he were on top of the ticket, I could see myself voting for him.

You don't have to like Virginia's laws, you don't live there. Is he supposed to look at 50 states laws and decide if he can accept a gift? I don't think so. He is a very honest, moral person. Unlike Trump. I don't have time to list all of Trump's shady deals. But I do see he has thousands of lawsuits against him.
