You don't have to like Virginia's laws, you don't live there. Is he supposed to look at 50 states laws and decide if he can accept a gift? I don't think so. He is a very honest, moral person. Unlike Trump. I don't have time to list all of Trump's shady deals. But I do see he has thousands of lawsuits against him. Take it easy Ken. I said I like him and would consider voting for him as President if he were on the top spot. Doesn't that count for something?  That does not mean I give him a pass on the gifts. |

If he makes it an Anyone But Trump speech to rally his unhappy troops to vote for Hillary, or if he does a smarmy 'vote your conscience' speech a la Cruz.

he is in a very tight spot. he doesn't seem like he has much finesse, so i am guessing this does not go well for the Democrats. |

She and Kaine have already predicted a Democratic majority tonight on Sixty Minutes. Then a minute later Kaine qualified that prediction and said if they do not have a majority, Ryan is easy to work with. I watched it. Kain never predicted a Democratic House. He predicted the Senate would have a Democratic majority, and thought they would make likely make gains in the House. He also said that Ryan is a serious person who is willing to work with the opposition to craft important legislation. (as opposed to just closing down gov't in a tiff)
Actually it was a very good interview, in which they both comported themselves well. What a contrast to the Trump circus!
I saw highlights of that interview...at what point will Hillary be asked actual questions? Obviously the DNC wouldn't allow 60 Minutes to ask any real questions of the two, which may be why they were the only ones allowed to interview them.
They might as well have asked, "So, Hillary, why are you so great?" 
I had to try to determine if 60 Minutes were interviewing Hillary or campaigning for her...it was that bad. And I think it shows that Hillary can not stand up to tough questioning...her inner bitch would come out raging after too short a time.

So, it looks like the Democratic convention will have their hiccups too  And yes, I know it will be a piece of white bread cake compared to the Republican convention, so let's not compare the two! What happened to diversity on the ticket? Unless you consider the VP pick as the conservative on the ticket, for balance this fall. This is the best DNC ever! What a clusterfuck! Glorious! Just glorious! I thought Wikileaks was more left-leaning. I don't know why they decided to take a giant shit on the Democrats at the start of their convention. They begin with a huge cloud over their head and the threat of the dropping of the proverbial "other shoe". If the RNC had been even remotely this big a steaming pile- the media would have portrayed it (accurately) as exactly what this is: an implosion. |

Honestly- for the first time in my life, I'm not going to watch the opposing party's convention. It's not like I ever agreed- that's not the reason. The reason is that because the rigging is so transparent now, I just can't even stomach it.

Can anyone explain why they brought the black Mayor of Baltimore in to start the convention?
They even flew her in for the ceremony so she would make the 3 pm start.
Myself, having a politician who let her city burn a year ago, and demanded the police be charged immediately, is not the person who should be the first person on the podium representing their party.
Why didn't Donna Brazile do it?
