Good recall. Trump: Cleveland too far for Palin to attend convention"Sarah Palin may be able to see Russia from her house, but not Ohio.
Donald Trump, in an interview with the Washington Examiner Thursday, explained why Palin, one of his most prominent supporters, wouldn't be speaking on his behalf at next week's Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
"She was asked," Trump said. "It's a little bit difficult because of where she is. We love Sarah. Little bit difficult because of, you know, it's a long ways away,” he added.
Never mind that the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee has frequently traveled around the country for Trump."Trump: Cleveland too far for Palin to attend conventionit wasn't too far when she was the Veep nominee. Or on the SNL 40th anniversary show this past fall.

Trump must really hate today. His announcement of his VP choice is getting trumped by the news of a coup in Turkey and the on going tragedy in Nice.

President Pence..... hmmmm........ Does it make you feel Penceive? (pensive) (I'm going to laugh instead of cry.)
If you want to keep going with that, try making something out of "Pence dispenser" or "TrumpPence a bag."

BEN CARSON CONFIDENT THAT TRUMP WILL CHOOSE HIM AS V.P. By Andy Borowitz , (7-16-2016) 07:02 A.M. WEST PALM BEACH, Florida (The Borowitz Report)—The retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson told reporters on Saturday that he is “extremely confident” that Donald Trump will choose him to be his Vice-Presidential running mate. “I’m not a betting man, but I would bet a million dollars it’s going to be me,” he told reporters at his residence, in West Palm Beach. “There are times in life when you’re just positive about something, and this is one of those times.” Carson did not indicate how he had determined that he would be Trump’s pick. “Let’s just call it a strong feeling I have,” he said. “I don’t want to say anything now that might jinx it.” As he awaits the all-important call from Trump, Carson said that he and the billionaire would be a “dream team” for the Republican Party in 2016. “Donald is great at going out and getting people excited, and I’m more grounded and in touch with reality,” he said. “Together, we will be unstoppable.” BEN CARSON CONFIDENT THAT TRUMP WILL CHOOSE HIM AS V.P.

I've read multiple times on this particular board why they feel that way about Trump, why do you feel that way about Pence?

Scary? Wait to see what Hillary comes up with! I'm surprised Evan Bayh hasn't got more press as a potential VP nominee. He was talked about a lot as a potential pick when Clinton and Obama were still fighting it out during Obama's first election. From what I remember about him, he was actually pretty knowledgeable and likeable and was moderate enough to appeal to both Democrats and Republicans. Of course that was 8 years ago, so a lot could have definitely change since then.

oh goodie. everyone is scared. that should make for good electoral choices. Especially when an overwhelming majority of people seem to believe there are only two choices because "anybody else is a lost cause." I have a new idea, one of the choices should be "none of the above" on the ballot and if that gets the most votes, then we do the whole process all over. Of course, that would mean we would probably have to keep redoing the election non-stop until we actually got candidates that most people could agree upon. Which means we would probably have to start the process about a year earlier to get finished in time.

I can see where that would work in legislative races. If the majority vote to leave the seat open, their choice. Executive offices are tough to leave open.

If "None of the Above" wins, would every candidate on that ballot be forever barred from running for that office again? Seems like they should....

that might be your problem, but it is not mine. i have voted for someone i like since 1996. you should try it. Generally I vote fore the people I agree with and if there isn't a person I like, then I skip that particular part of the ballot. I have to look more at this Gary Johnson guy to see if I like him enough to think he's worth the vote...otherwise I might not be voting for a Presidential candidate this year; but I'm not really of the opinion that I have to vote for one of the candidates in every portion of the ballot either. I don't know that I've ever voted for a person that I didn't like, but like I said I don't feel the need to fill up my ballot either.

Is there a spot for a write in candidate? I'm going for the cat, I think. I cannot vote for clinton and I can't send women back to alleys for their right to choose for themselves.

Neither can I, but apparently, if I say anything to criticize the politicians in favour of this, I hate America and am worse than ISIS. My concern for my sisters doesn't stop at the border.

However, being told I'm "worse than ISIS" for criticizing a certain subset of politicians is probably the most stupid thing I've ever heard.

Sure did not take Hillary long to launch the negative attack ads against Pence. When Trump starts attacking, just remember who started them, and understand who will finish her off with them.
