Trump just can't stop lying and using the media. After saying he will postpone his 11 am pick due to respect for the attack in France, he announces Pence before 11 am. Twelves hours of Nice, France coverage was more than his ego could take.

It is also possible he listened to reason. Perhaps Pence told him announce before Noon or I run for governor. Pence would be crazy to let him wait until Monday to announce him or anyone else that came into his head.

Please tell me about Hillary's long code of ethics. Please, by all means. Post that dribble on the Presidential threads. This is about VP picks...... Drivel.

I thought of this too. If he was leaning toward Pence and Pence gave Trump an ultimatum. But it doesn't appear that Trump and his team think things out thoroughly.

I don't know if I can fault Trump's team as I feel he goes with what he feels and only occasionally listens to others. Looks like a compromise was made. He tweeted his selection before 11AM but decided on a formal press conference tomorrow.

I could have lived with Christie, yes. actually, the conversation we had in the office yesterday revolved around the VP pick. that Trump had best be careful who he picks, because well, assassination. as in, W picked Cheney b/c nobody would kill him to get Cheney in the Oval Office. I think Christie as the VP would legit be a worry of assassination b/c Christie isn't fucking evil. ....and to the FBI screeners, I am not interested in assassinating a hypothetical President Trump.

Hadn't thought of that. Christie would have been the least odious pick to me, but Pence made the most sense to me intellectually.

FURIOUS CHRISTIE REFUSES TO PICK UP TRUMP’S DRY CLEANING
By Andy Borowitz , 11:03 A.M. NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—Governor Chris Christie, of New Jersey, angrily refused to pick up Donald Trump’s dry cleaning during a tense encounter between the two men on Friday, campaign sources confirm. The ugly scene unfolded at the billionaire’s offices in midtown Manhattan, shortly after Trump revealed that his Vice-Presidential pick would be Governor Mike Pence of Indiana. According to Trump aides, Christie stomped into the presumptive Republican nominee’s office and hurled a dry-cleaning ticket onto his desk, telling Trump, “You can pick up your own damn dry cleaning.” The New Jersey governor then stormed out, and has not been seen by Trump or his staffers since. Trump’s press secretary, Hope Hicks, warned the media against making too much of the apparent rift between the billionaire and Christie. “In the long hours of a campaign, emotions can sometimes get a little raw,” she said. “We are confident that Governor Christie will pick up Mr. Trump’s dry cleaning going forward.” Reached later by reporters, Governor Christie issued a brief statement: “Get away from me. Just get away from me, you bastards.” FURIOUS CHRISTIE REFUSES TO PICK UP TRUMP’S DRY CLEANING

Trump most likely lost the gay vote too (if he ever really had it) what with Pence signing that religious freedom bill into law last year which discriminated against gays. Later revising the bill was too late. The damage was done. It should never have been signed by Pence in the first place. The people of Indiana are thrilled to be rid of him. It's too bad he is being inflicted on the rest of us though.

Wow, that is one scary article, and unfortunately I agree with the author.
I think Hillary was using a private e-mail server to avoid public disclosure of what she was doing. Scott Walker and the Republican party were trying to do the same thing in Wisconsin. We put a stop to him, but it was only temporary.
www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/07/08/scott-walker-open-records-laws_n_7752788.html
So, while I am not quite comfortable with the security of her e-mail server - I don't think the Republicans wouldn't or haven't done the same types of stuff.
I don't trust Donald Trump. If I could have voted for him, it would have maybe been possible with Christie. Pence is a no go - he is way too conservative for me.

Personally I am was really hoping for Word Salad Sarah just for the comedic factor alone. And correct me if I am wrong yesterday Trump said that Sarah wouldn't be attending the convention because Alaska was too far away. Really? That's the reason?

Once again, Trump grabs the news cycle. The Donald will NOT be overshadowed by some hit and run in France. You realize you could be talking about the massacre in France over in the massacre in France thread rather than about Donald Trump here.

Considering that you can see Russia from Alaska, it sure is a darn sight wayyyyy up there away from DC.

Trump: Cleveland too far for Palin to attend convention"Sarah Palin may be able to see Russia from her house, but not Ohio.
Donald Trump, in an interview with the Washington Examiner Thursday, explained why Palin, one of his most prominent supporters, wouldn't be speaking on his behalf at next week's Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
"She was asked," Trump said. "It's a little bit difficult because of where she is. We love Sarah. Little bit difficult because of, you know, it's a long ways away,” he added.

Oh, mercy. That can't be real. They are going for the LGBT vote. The logo's not in a 69 position or even a 66 or 99 position. It's like a 63 4/6th position? Speaking of TP, I need to buy some rolls for the home. The rolls in the bathroom are about out of paper.
