I was sort of surprised Walker of Wisconsin was never considered. I know Walker did not like Trump, but neither did Gingrich I would choose Walker over Gingrich. CNN and some on MSNBC are saying it will be Pence. I saw Gingrich talking about how Trump is a pirate, and how he (Gingrich) is also a pirate.
Yes that's exactly what I want, a country run by two old pirates.
I don't know if Gingrich means the Jack Sparrow/Dread Pirate Roberts adorable pirates or the real Black Beard kill-you-rather-than-look-at-you pirates, but either way - no.
Besides, no self respecting pirate would sport that hairstyle, those high end suits or be that thin-skinned.
maybe they are Pastafarians?

It's not official yet, but Gov. (now ex-gov) Pence has gotten the VP nod. A little too conservative on policy for my taste but at least he won't be over the edge if Trump is elected and Pence becomes President.

Trump should have no trouble winning Indiana, but Pence might.
therefore, i think it does Pence more good than Trump.

Trump should have no trouble winning Indiana, but Pence might. therefore, i think it does Pence more good than Trump. Only if Trump wins this fall. Otherwise Pence is unemployed. Maybe Donald assured him a job at one of the golf resorts if they lose!

My thought is, it settles down the Republican Governors and Congressional representatives as well as the never Trump crowd. Whether this helps him, IDNK

Trump most likely lost the gay vote too (if he ever really had it) what with Pence signing that religious freedom bill into law last year which discriminated against gays. Later revising the bill was too late. The damage was done. It should never have been signed by Pence in the first place.

so, Pence is it. 2 newspapers already reporting. Pence dropped out of the governor race, and is flying to NJ. i thought this quote was interesting (i think i found this at MSN): Then Pence essentially auditioned for the position during a Trump rally and fundraiser on Tuesday. Pence, who has traditionally eschewed negative campaigning, attacked Clinton for the loss of U.S. personnel in Benghazi and compared Trump to Ronald Reagan. Trump likes gushing praise.

Strange sort of, because he was quite considerate of the gay and lesbian group with the reality television show.

This does not bode well for Trump. Remember the last Republican VP from Indiana on the Republican ticket?

Yes, It is possible Trump wants all three of them as a show of unity, and how the other two would easily have been picked. Perfect photo-op.

I hope Hillary declares Bill as her VP and then the three ring circus will be complete. Saturday morning cartoons doesn't have anything on the upcoming election. I'm loving it.

Later revising the bill was too late. The damage was done. It should never have been signed by Pence in the first place. Trump never had it. Strange sort of, because he was quite considerate of the gay and lesbian group with the reality television show. Not strange at all. The voting block Trump is currently courting is not friendly to the gay agenda.
Same reason that Trump used to be pro- Hillary and now is not, and why he used to be pro-choice and now thinks it's a good idea to lock up women who get an abortion.
Trump is a chameleon who molds himself to the goal is he pursing. He has no moral compass. It's one of the main reasons for his success.
Imagine if you had no personal code of ethics, how liberating that would be. You could cheat on your wife, steal from a child, lie to someone right to his face and never have even a tiny twinge of regret. You could even promise an entire nation you know how to make the country great again when, actually, you had no clue how to do it, or the desire to learn.

Well of course Trump announced that he was delaying his planned 11:00 AM EST announcement because of the attacks in Nice, France last night. So if he does in fact delay the official announcement Pence is in a bind because....
According to Indiana law he can't be on the ballot for two different races consecutively. (I like that, btw) He also has to fish or cut bait on the governor's race by 12:00 Noon today. So, if Trump doesn't announce then Pence has to make a big decision.
Of course if Trump has told Pence he is the man, then Pence drops out of the Gov race. Regardless, if Pence drops out, everyone will assume that Trump has assured him of this. Either way, it is all over the news- a grand speculative game.
Once again, Trump grabs the news cycle. The Donald will NOT be overshadowed by some hit and run in France. I agree with everything but the last sentence. If it were you in this situation, would you go on with the announcement today? Probably not. Is he campaigning today? If so, then you are correct.

Trump just can't stop lying and using the media. After saying he will postpone his 11 am pick due to respect for the attack in France, he announces Pence before 11 am.
