Donald needs an attack dog. Gingrich could do it, but he is hated by America even more than Christie is. And someone has to win a debate, and we know Donald will not out debate Hillary.

Kasich! Donald needs someone who knows actual politics and doesn't just say whatever comes to his mouth without a filter.

I think Gingrich is too old. I think he should choose someone a bit more youthful and energetic. Trump really doesnt' need an attack dog. Trump is the attack dog. i think he needs someone that he can work with to enact his vision.

He needs a woman. Somebody a fair bit younger with him. Somebody that can resonate with "the common man", the down-and-dirty average Joe. Somebody evangelical and brimming with energy. Somebody not afraid to speak her mind. But also somebody familiar to Americans, and has been on people's radar for a while. I think you all know where I'm going with this.

I think Gingrich would be a bad choice. I think he might go with Pence because he's sucking up extremely well, is less well known than Trump, and will like take marching orders.

I just hope it is someone with long fingers so they can project a tough, manly image to both our allies and our enemies.

Now you tell me: what kind of people does Mr. Trump like to have around him?

Wonder if I can throw my hat into that ring. I'm apolitical but the retirement/benefit package is awesome for only serving 4 yrs. Not to mention all the "under the table" stuff I might garner!!! I figure I would be as effective as most VP have been over the years!!
Oh, crap do you think they'll vote for a divorced ole broad. Guess that might blow me out of the water.

I did it once and signed out of that in 82!!! Repeated marriages seems to be the theme there

Gingrich has the inside track. Probably. I prefer Christie to wrap up New Jersey this fall. What state will Gingrich swing to Trump's favor?

Give Trump some credit. He knows how to work the media. This morning he is shown ARRIVING at Governor Pence's home in Indianapolis with Ivanka, her husband and at least, Donald JR in tow for the camera op. Then it's announced off to see Newt. Most Presidential candidates have the Veep candidates show up to you. Not the Donald. Most keep it a secret meeting. Keep em guessing, keep your name at the top of the news cast.

Pence is leading for his re-election race as Governor, but has tremendous negative rating. Quite frankly, naming him to the VP slot may cost Trump Indiana this fall, and I cannot think of any state Pence would push into the win column for Trump. Pence would go with the Evangelicals, but Trump has them already.

People were pretty unhappy with the lack of time he spent in NJ governing. I don't think its in the link I posted, but only 21% of registered voters voted last time Christie was elected. Can't count on that kind of low turnout for this Presidential election.
There's always Cruz.
