All it says is his visa was not valid, and gave no reason, and he was told by a translator. Non valid visa is a good reason. Try entering a foreign country without a valid visa. See how that works out for you.

Interesting story. It will be interesting to find out if consular officials in Juba really screwed up (by taking something at face value or accepting a bribe) or if this guy switched documents with someone and it wasn't immediately caught upon entry.
This guy really doesn't frighten me much.

but we do know. our immigration standards are way more rigorous than Canada's. are there loopholes? you bet. marriage is one. should they be closed? sure. but let's not argue like Canada and the US have the same problems.

Actually we do. Canada and the U.S. have a very pourous border. Probably easier to cross than Mexico.

The border might be porous but 6'9" black men carrying documents from South Sudan and claiming to be minors don't really scare me. It's not as if they are going to blend in.

It's not as if they are going to blend in. so if you are 6'9" and play basketball, 30 years old and claim to be 17 it's fine? This thread is about not knowing who is entering the borders, and I think we know that it can easily happen here as well as Canada. It can be a 5'2" female who decides to shoot up a Christmas party...........who came in on a marriage visa, but we knew nothing about her either. I guess 6'9" people could never be a child molester looking for children either. It is not just terrorism we have to be concerned about.

See how that works out for you. No, what it said was that he "was told his visa wasn't valid". This after a number of previous trips to the US. All of a sudden his visa "isn't valid".....

See how that works out for you. So what foreign country are the American citizens denied entry in besides China and Japan. Even China is just a simple formality from what I am told. Japan might be a bit harder but works, visas are given for many reasons including but not limited to awards ceremonies.

Another better reason to know our immigrants is because most of them are hard working decent people who would make a good friend. I work with a lot of immigrants doing construction so I have met a lot like that. I haven't met any like what was described above.

boo!! who?? You want to choose immigrants over American citizens. People for the most part want to have a good life. Most American citizens want a good life, are honest and decent. Most immigrants want a good life, are honest and decent. Why do you want to like my post when I say that about immigrants then in the next post you disparage American citizens?

You misunderstood me. I'm all for honest and decent people, immigrants or citizens.

So better watch exchange students rather than immigrants?

If you are scared of toddlers at all, that is just weird. If you are not scared of toddlers then your post is factually wrong.

This has been a common argument against profiling muslim terrorists on here. It defies logic, but if you're a flaming lib, I suppose it sounds cool? I don't really know.

Comparisons of numbers of death matter with toddlers vs terrorists, but not with number of deaths with cars vs guns.
