Everything is beautiful! I have the same faucet in my hall bath. Wish I had room for that size vanity though.

Well, I had people telling me that every bedroom should have its own bath, and then of course you need at least a half bath and what about overnight guests, and if you are putting in a pool with no pool house need at least half down stairs... etc. I just couldn't see putting so much space and $ into rooms that would sit empty most of the time, so we made the one 'big bath' with dividers so it can serve different purposes and multiple people if necessary... we'll see how it works it won't be the only bath eventually, but I just couldn't see having like 5+ bathrooms...

We are having a house built. Upstairs, there will be 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms plus a loft. The master bedroom will have its own bathroom while the 3 other bedrooms and loft can share 1 bathroom. In the main floor, there will be a half bath and the basement will have a bathroom rough-in, but I could see DH wanted to have a half bath in the basement in the future. Personally, I think a bathroom in each bedroom is overkill as that's alot of cleaning!!

Oped, your house is going to be lovely. I like your daughter's creativity.

If I had bedrooms like that I'd do a jack and Jill. People use the toilet and sink more than they use the shower/tub. But with three bedrooms or more up, I'd make sure one was an en suite.

That cabinet is beautiful. Are the faucets built into the counter or separate?

On the house we are having built, we had an option to have a bath in our DD's room (so would be 3 full baths upstairs instead of 2); however, we decided to make it a walk-in closet instead. It was a cheaper option, but we really though DD would like a bigger closet instead of her own bathroom.

The master will have its own bathroom eventually.
I thought about jack and Jill, the configuration would have been a little different, but 1) it still would have necessitated more bathrooms and 2) I often have lots of different gendered kids in my house at the same time. Although I'm a big believer in teens making their own informed decisions, I know that most other parents feel ok with this because I am rather vigilant. A jack and Jill seemed like a nice 'back door' to me, if that makes sense... idk.
The faucets were seperate. The vanity came with the top and sinks.

Ever consider going into the contracting business? You've really got a good eye for beautiful features in a home, oped! (And yes, I've worked with contractors building both of our houses, and know full well building is a PITA. But, at least you get what you want.)

It's just too overwhelming. I'm an over researcher in general. There are just too many decisions. Like the vanity, so many people have asked me where I got it and I can't remember. I'll have to look it up... but I seriously probably looked at thousands of them. Ok maybe hundreds, but seriously and every decision seems like that... I'm not built for it, lol. I feel much better now. Almost there! Just putting in everything already picked for the most part. But I'm not sure I'd ever want to repeat the process for myself.

Are your floors hardwood or tile? I really like them (and the beautiful cabinetry)

Kudos for letting your daughter go with the "Carebear puke" color scheme. Too many people seem obsessed with turning their newly-built home into a showpiece that they forget that's where life happens.

Big Bathroom coming along I love the vanity, but don't like the small gap between the edge and the wall. With my kind of luck, I'd drop something down there that would be impossible to retrieve.

Maybe they still have the 4" backsplash and side-splash to go on. Hopefully so that it would take care of losing things.

Nope! No backsplash, no trim! You lose it-tough luck! The vanity sits on legs about 4" above the floor so if you drop something you can fish it out from under.

It's supposed to rest in place before you wet mop? Idk. So still a little dusty, but you get the drift
