That bugger weighs about 40+ tons top to bottom! And I moved at least twice every single piece of it!

A terrible thing to ask but when do you think you'll be done? Also, more pics. I live vicariously.

The latest issue was a furnace issue. The furnace was there, the tank was in and full, but apparently the pump system that goes between them wasn't. Took an extra week and now it's so new tech my plumbing person is having to take his time gettin it right, which I do appreciate!, but which is already meant hardwood floors we meant to start this past Monday won't go in till end next week, beginning of next.... Sigh. We'll get there. I'm actually much calmer and less stressed about it than I have been in awhile. I'll see if I can find pics later. If not I'll take more tomorrow.

The house is beautiful even if it is only part done. I can't wait to see the completed pictures. The room with the fireplace would be my haven. Great work!!

What kind of heating system are you putting in? Geothermal?

God no! Geothermal in this area wouldn't be very effective unless you have a good source of surface water- shallow wells- so you don't have to recirculate.
We are installing a propane tankless furnace. The heat will be delivered via 1/2" PEX tubing installed in a hollow floor system. And then is the above mentioned fireplace. Also, I made reserves for the installation of a wood stove if it becomes necessary at any point in the future.

An electrician built this house, we have 40 ceiling lights in the open concept living/dining, and kitchen area. Plenty of receptacles inside. But obviously not outside people as there are a couple on the back porch and 2 on the front. DH would have had them everywhere for my Christmas lights and anything else I wanted plugged in outside. None on the outside of the garage and even though there are a lot in the garage, none outside of it. Seems odd where they put a lot and where they put none.
I like the fireplace, very pretty and we have geo thermal which I really like, very clean, and very quiet.

Will a pocket door be going in to the space in the wall outside the toilet?

I did find these, if they make sense to anyone, lol. This is the area where 'it works' is all I really want to know. And it does! Took a few days but the radiant is hot!

Pex, we ever build another one I imagine hubby will have it.
Have you tried the ondemand hot water yet?
DH put one in a bathroom addition and in a shower we got spurts of cold water, maybe it was the brand we got or something.

Sort of... only have double vanity in bath working, and that happened Friday. It wasn't hot very fast, we'll see... we did have to adjust the radiant, so might have to there as well... Hunting season around here though, so I doubt anyone will be working until Wednesday...

My brother had to explain that water line thing to me when my fiance bought his house. I guess it is cool for repairs and stuff.
Yay for more progress.

The bathroom actually has 2. You walk in to just the double vanity and then toilet space to right and shower/tub to left behind pocket doors.

Daughter's room. She had a distinctive image for what she wanted. She has been painting up a storm! Very unique

That's a fantastic size for a kid's bedroom! My younger daughter would love all of those shelves.
