I had a late lunch, so I got a tea and a piece of cake for my dinner tonight.

1/5 FFP
Lunch chicken kiev (Fz), spinach salad Dinner turkey & swiss on rye
I broke my clear the freezer, fridge and pantry rule. I bought a pkg of chicken leg quarters because they were priced right (1/3 lower than other stores) and I am down to only 2 servings in the freezer. I also bought a pkg of calamari rings because I love them, I have only 2 servings on hand AND they were on sale – 25 % off.
Fresh produce (fruit & veg) are & have been priced really high all year and VERRRY bad right now. Hopefully with the CA rain & snow things will be better next growing season. However, I do need to eat properly right NOW. I am going into my pantry and setting up marinated green beans and pickled beets from cans on my shelf when I next do some cooking. Another use of P items.

I wish you guys would post recipes for some of those meals you listing.
As far as I am concerned - just ask. Don't want to teach someone 1st grade stuff but if you really want/need the info, glad to do so.

Tonight is balsamic chicken thighs, rice and a green side. Total cost is probably $5-6. The chicken recipe is from Budget Bytes. Posting links from my phone is a PIA.

An unstructured chicken Parmesan using chunks of leftover BSCB in a tomato sauce loaded with onions, peppers, garlic, basil, oregano, and kale over whole wheat pasta. Sides will be steamed broccoli, carrot sticks, and garlic bread.

Well I finally messed up a recipe that I was doing. When I was making my Chicken Chili Quinoa (which I have done about 5 times now) I was not awake and didn't realize until afterwords that I used cous cous instead of quinoa. Let's just say that didn't turn out so well for me. I couldn't handle the texture. So that was a epic failure. So I now have hamburger thawing and I'm going to make spaghetti sauce for dinner for the next few days.

Last night: Low carb pepperoni and olive pizza. Approx $5.49 for 3 servings. Tonight: Burritos-Shredded beef (sale) in low carb tortillas, cheese (sale, coupon), sour cream, olives. Corn (sale) on the side for DH. Total $13.15 with a ton of leftover beef. Tuesday: Spaghetti-Angel hair (sale) for DH, zoodles for me. Ground beef was on sale for $2.99/LB. $4.89 for 3 servings.
Wednesday: Smoked beef sausage (sale, coupon) slow cooker recipe. $2.50+ for at least 3 servings.
Thursday: Boneless pork chops (Bogo) w/ IDK what sides. Added: I found a pecan crusted pork chop recipe which will use up the pecans I bought for baking last month.Friday: Take out from? Sat and Sun: IDK yet. Probably chicken drumsticks (sale 1.41 for 6) one of the nights. Added: And probably an Eggs Lorraine the other night to use the frozen spinach (sale .88). Have a wonderful week, everyone! Welp, this week's plan was already shot to hell as of Monday when DH was notified he was going out of town yesterday. He stayed out of town last night, so I called up my BFF 3 states away and we had Happy Hours. And, no, that is not a typo. So, revision: Last night: Cocktails, cottage cheese, and a Nathan frank. And a few Utz cheese balls. Tonight: The ground beef, angel hair and zoodles. I'm also going to make a warm bacon vinaigrette for the first time ever. Tomorrow: Smoked sausage slow cooker beer soup with the pecan crusted pork chops. Recipes: ZoodlesSpinach Salad(am going to omit the sugar) Smoked Sausage Cheddar Beer SoupPork Chops

I put 6 eggs into the red velvet cheesecake mixing bowl instead of 4. I then overworked the chocolate when attempting to make turtles for the first time ever. Blegh. Told DH I was losing my touch.

Boiled some pasta to go with leftover sauce from last night. Paired it with the other half of the can of pears. Total cost probably right around $1.

1/6 FFP
lunch eggs (F) w/cheddar cheese, salad, rye toast. Cost <$1 dinner turkey burger (fz). Cost 0.50
Really patting myself onmy back here. Proud of myself. Had my 2015 saved change counted at the bank - $20. Did a survey - $25. Did NOT eat out or otherwise spend any of it. I will use the change for some nice (steak/roast beef) purchases. The survey money goes into the mani/pedi fund as usual.

Mini meatloaves, carrot sticks and fries. DS had most of the fries though and he really liked the meatloaf.

I picked up a boneless pork chop from the market across the way and grilled it with a garlic/sriracha dry rub on it. I was originally going to dice it over a green salad when I thought I was on my own for dinner tonight, but I came home to find my roommate still here, and another friend. neither are hungry, so I went the lower-maintenance route of making a sandwich with the chop. bulky roll, baby spinach, extra sriracha.
cost tonight? $1.14 for the chop.

Checking in about Wednesday's bacon vinaigrette maiden voyage: It was good, however, too vinegar-y. Next time I'll use more Dijon. However, last night's pecan crusted pork chops were delicious! The chops were thick, so I had half last night and am currently enjoying the other half for lunch. The soup was so so. There's a definite beer taste logically. Happy weekend, everyone!

Grandpa in charge of feeding the grandkids last night. Gasp, all leftovers from the holidays were gone!! Quick trip downtown on the way home. 8 piece bucket of chicken $6.99, bag of lays chips $2.50, I can of canned corn, .59, one can of green beans .59. Gallon of iced tea in the fridge. Dilemma solved!!

dinner tonight will be fajita/taco night. I'm down in FL with some good friends for the weekend, the filling options are going to be a couple different fresh caught Tampa Bay fish of some sort, marinated grilled chicken and fish. my friend's DH is out fishing now.
