So, I stepped on the scale today and nothing has really changed... but my clothes are fitting a little better. DH and I broke down and bought a new bed last week. This week is my first week in quite a while to not be in constant annoying pain. I haven't been able to do any upper body stuff because of the pain in my shoulders neck and rotator cuff. I have been keeping up with yoga and stretching and tonight I am going to add in some light resistance bands instead of hand weights and see how that goes.
16 days until I am euros bound and I am not where I wanted to be weight wise, but my clothes fit okay so I am happy enough.

Dug out all my totes with clothes in them out of the basement yesterday. (15, along with a couple with kids' clothes) That was the day's workout because most of them were kinda heavy, and I was walking up and down the stairs. (Im also trying to purge and organize the basement.) I switched out one tote with jeans in them--found several that fit well, and keeping a few others that fit okay around. It's amazing how much better clothes that actually fit look and feel to wear. I can't believe I have nearly an entire big tote filled with size 14 jeans now. I wore the same 2 or 3 pairs nearly every day. There's a couple with tags still. It had everything to do I with fit, but it sickens me to have wasted money on things I never wore. Do people recycle jeans? There's a few with holes, but seems a shame to throw them away if they're recyclable somehow. Not sure where to start with the rest of this. Maybe I should have posted this in the declutter thread. I will say one thing, in the past trying on a bunch of clothes like this to see if they fit would have left me tired and sore the next day. I was just a little tired (more hot) after the big haul up the stairs. Not sore at all otherwise--well, other than my bad shoulder, which is a given. Hooray for being in shape!

That's awesome! DH just bought all new pants this week and I put all his old stuff in bins, though I'd like to just send it all to goodwill. We took a "vacation" this week from work and we were able to do about 1,000 things around the house we normally can't do with 2 kids hanging around. Cleaned and organized just about everything plus did a ton of yardwork. We took the week off of exercising and went out to lunch a couple times. We immediately both went straight up to the top of our "don't go above this weight" range. That's what vacation is for though right?

Thanks. Yeah, I'd like to just get rid of all of these too big clothes now, but I'm a bit paranoid or probably more superstitious.

Bought the JM Ripped in 30 DVD. For anyone who likes the style of 30 Day Shred this is very similar, but I think more challenging. Really liking it so far and have only tried 2 of the 4 routines.

Accidentally bought a new fitbit. I meant to put it on my amazon wishlist but bought it with 1 click instead.
So now that I have a new one that should be more accurate and doesn't ditch 1/3 of my steps I will get back to getting my 10k steps a day.

It's fiscal year end here and it's kicking my butt. My goals for this week are to keep getting steps and drink more water. I wouldn't have hit the goal last night but I had to drop something off to my aunt and metro decided to close the station nearest her hotel. So I got a nice walk through DC. I must say the White House looks nice at night all lit up. Of course this wrecked my dinner plans so maybe it was a wash.

I'm still not back to working out and eating is sporadic. It's not healthy but it's what I'm able to do right now so I'm rolling with it. Today I hit a huge milestone - As of weighing in this morning, I'm no longer obese. Just really overweight. I'll take it.

I really don't know how I've improved so much this week. I've been seriously slacking on working out and my diet. Plus, my shoulder is hurting me a lot again, and I woke up with my neck out of wack on Sunday. I think I'm still slightly out of alignment from that now. My shoulder is finally feeling better today without ibuprofen, so I'll try to exercise again this afternoon.

Update I hit the 90000 step mark for the week. I am going to keep my goal at 90000. Need to work on increasing water intake and watch snacking.
Have a great week everyone.

Hi Guys,
I don't post here very often but saw this thread and hope some of you long-time weight "losers" will comment on my thread in YM about losing weight and keeping it off.
Thanks for your comments!

I canceled my gym membership last night, I start radiation probably at the end of the week. I do radiation for 5 weeks, then 4 weeks later I have surgery to remove the rest of the cancer, my shoulder muscle and my 3 ribs. I'm going to try and keep doing yoga until my surgery. I almost cried last night filling out the cancellation papers.

Good luck jeep. Crying is cathartic; it is good for the mind and good for the soul. I will keep you in my prayers.

I missed zumba last week because I was so busy. I will never take another week off again. I could hardly keep up. I thought I was going to pass out.

Best of luck with your surgery, Jeep!
I am abroad in England at the moment. 5 days in and I have been eating whatever I want... but we have only averaged 2 meals a day because we have been so busy. I must say, I am craving a salad... a big pile of veg sounds good. We will head to Paris this weekend and I think we will grab some salads for a nice picnic on our first day.

Weekly check in
Was just a bit over 88000 for steps. I am setting this week's goal at 85000. Need to work on eating healthy.
Have a great week everyone.
