Anyone else think twice about eating 'that' (chocolate, cookies, ice cream) if they have to write it down? Or is that just bc I'm on Day 2 of Tracking? 😎 I wish my addiction to junk is greater than my calorie count. I just try and keep it at a fun size candy bar so it's not as bad.

Or is that just bc I'm on Day 2 of Tracking? 😎 I don't necessarily think twice about eating it b/c it's written down (no one but me can see my food diary). However, I do see how many calories I've eaten every time I go to log something. And THAT makes me think twice about do I really want something. B/c if I see I'm 100 under my goal, then I won't eat the ice cream brownie sundae b/c no way is that sucker only 100 cals. I usually have the problem of "hey, look, I still have 100 cals left. Can't eat the brownie sundae but I could eat a cookie. That's only 100 cals." So then I have no calorie deficit and no weight loss.

I am continuing to lose weight through the "my kid is in the hospital" stress diet. Everyone should try it.

Went to zumba. I opened the freezer and found Snickers ice cream. I shut the freezer and backed away slowly. I'm pretty proud of myself. I better not have to open the freezer again today. I don't know if I can stay strong twice.

Blew my tracking. I'm a little frustrated at me. I'm at the hospital with my daughter's best friend and I bought her lunch. But I didn't have to buy a chocolate chip cookie and an Italian cream soda. I did it anyway. I will track it. And I will probably regret this

Sometimes you want a treat and that's fine. Look at it as a week not days.

You can track, or not, but your body doesn't know that it's supposed to cheat! Actually, I've been stuck at a weight, had a moderate amount of junk, and lost immediately afterward. This has happened a few times to me. A little treat now and then seems to be good! Just make sure it's not too much or too often. I'm down today, surprisingly, as I had Cheetos and alcohol a couple times this last week. (Cheetos and Pinot Noir being my kryptonite. )

Nothing to report really. Still working out 4x/ week. I think DH has stabilized and I've basically been within 5lbs since we started. Of course I never took any measurements but I know I'm more toned. So a lifetime of maintaining and looking out for new exercises so we don't get bored .

Well it's not quite how I wanted it to happen, but met my goal to be below 200 by the end of August. Silver lining strikes again.

Are there any more updates? Have you decided on a facility? We are going to the suburban one that works better for us as a family. The other one downtown also was much larger but had no outdoor space because downtown.

8/3/16 155.6#, 24.7 BMI, 30.8% body fat, 48.8% body water 8/10/16 155.4#, 24.7 BMI, 30.8% body fat, 48.8% body water 8/17/16 154.8#, 24.6 BMI, 30.5% body fat, 49.1% body water 8/24/16 153.8#, 24.4 BMI, 30.1% body fat, 49.3% body water, 31.5" waist, 35.5" at belly button 8/31/16 153.4#, 24.4 BMI, 30.2% body fat, 49.3% body water Intermediate goal: 154 #, 24.9 BMI, 34.0% body fat, 47% body water, 34" waist
BIG goal: 127#, 20 BMI, 30 % body fat, 50% body water, 26" waist
Quoting myself because I'm too lazy to copy and reformat tonight (because I lose the formatting when I copy. And the lines get screwed up.) The last reading is questionable, but I'll take it because it's an improvement over last week. I really went off the rails this last week, since I had met all of my intermediate goals. I should make some new intermediate goal, because I'm not sure the weight is really attainable for me at my age. Let's see: 140#, 22.5 BMI (maybe?) 28" waist. It's kinda nice looking back at this, because I had remembered my waist measurements incorrectly. I guess I really am making progress on that front after all. I didn't think I was. My legs are looking so much more toned--nearly like they were when I was going to dance classes all the time. Pre-kids, I didn't have this big pooch at this weight. *le sigh* Still feeling kinda weak, tired, and sad (probably SAD). Exercising really is helping with my anxiety, though. I've been skipping more days, and I can tell on those days that I feel off.

The last 2.5 weeks have been rough. My boss has been on vacation and I have been covering for him. REMEMBER, I just started this job mid-June! Lots of overtime and some stress eating. I was stressed, mentally exhausted and the only thing I managed was stretching and some spur of the moment yoga moves. I did make myself get up and go for a 10 or 15 minute walk most days, just to keep my sanity. I am so happy that he will return on Tuesday!
I haven't stepped on the scale yet... I'll do it tomorrow or monday.
I am focusing on my core now... trying to strengthen it before we leave for vacation in 27 days. I am signed up for my friend's yoga class on Thursdays and am going to add another class in so I have 2 a week.

Weight loss has slowed down as we've moved out of the hospital (B still in hospital but others doing 24/7 care) and back home, and replaced no food with convenience foods. Trying to keep up with tracking so don't backslide, but switched my goal to more manageable 1lb/week. Still no exercise. Currently ok with that. Hope all is well here!

I've discovered a fondness for nasty, drizzly fall days. Perfect for running outside. It's too rainy for obnoxious, fast driving ATV riders since none of them wear helmets and apparently the stinging rain hurts their delicate complexions. And it's too cold for casual walkers and bike riders, so I had the bike path all to myself. I don't mind a bit of rain and I was running enough that I didn't get cold.

Hope B is starting to make some progress! I am not terribly far so if you need something, let me know! With cooler Temps rolling in, I am starting to add soup into the dinner/lunch rotation. Threw the veggies for minestrone into the instant pot tonight then walked the half mile to Restorative Yoga class. Got home, soup is done and I will have leftovers for lunch. Yay! Will step on the scale tomorrow and see how I have fared lately. Sent from my SM-N920T using proboards

So she's stable?!? Only dn 0.6 this week. I'll take any dn Stable, yes. Recovering even. It's slow going as she had a very severe case and 4 year olds are not know for their love of taking appropriate medicine and complying with other people's demands. She'll be at rehab for at least another three weeks then home for they estimate 3 months, doing outpatient therapy 3-5 days a week, don't know yet what docs will recommend. There's still a chance she will wind up in a wheelchair for life. We are a month in and only at the beginning. Both DH and I are on brink of collapse, only holding it together through chemicals (let's give it up for my new bestie Klonopin) and the fact that both of our parents are retired and committed to helping us. His mom does day shift at hospital Mon-Fri, my dad does nights Sun-Thurs. DH and I attempt to work and take care of younger DD during the week. I say attempt to work because younger DD had some sort of stomach bug since Wednesday and has not been allowed at daycare. DH and I do weekends at the hospital. One month down, 11-35 to go.
