I think this is going to be a "maintain" week over here. Was sick all week and still recovering, plus dealing with a v sick kid. Gave up and ordered pizza yesterday because life is hard sometimes you need pizza to keep everybody happy.
Am having more success with portion control, though.
Neurologist says I need to exercise earlier in the day because it's keeping me up nights. Trying to shift my schedule to get out of door earlier in the morning, drop girls at daycare and exercise before work. Tomorrow will be first attempt since don't have to be in office at any particular time. We will see. If I like how tomorrow goes I'll talk to my boss about shifting me schedule a few days a week.

Good luck with the new schedule, BSB! Sent from my SM-N920T using proboards It went really well! But then didn't get to trial run the "getting ready for work part" because had to run home to pay the dishwasher delivery guys and be with DD who has a mysterious illness and can't walk. In other news my life is a shitshow.

I hope your DD is ok, pants.
The past few mornings I've woken up feeling nauseous and headache-y. Which makes me not want to work out. Or go to work. Or even move. I'm hoping it's mostly from my horrific allergies (you know, sinus drainage all night long) and not something more serious. I don't have time to be sick.

<MPL comes back to this thread with her head hung in shame> So, last year I had my great weight loss challenge 23 pounds in 23 weeks! I went from 168 to 145 and happily skipped away victorious. A year passed and I realized the other day I was now wearing my son's shorts because none of mine fit. Stepped on a scale for the first time in 14 months. 170. I feel like crap. I mean, not just because of that number. I REALLY feel like crap! Physically and mentally I've let myself go and I need to take control again. Permanent control, not 6 months then forget it control Damn it.

Well, I am happy to report I did have been doing whole30 for the last 3 weeks and lost 8lbs!!! And I feel super awesome, sleep better and in general feel alert and ready to go. And I haven't even been that strict on it, probably 5/7 days of strict rules, the other 2 days I eat in moderation. Super stoked

Welcome back, I completely fell off my exercise wagon, the humidity does a complete numbing number on me. I look forward to September.

An update because I mentioned it here. DD who is 4 has been diagnosed with Guillain Barre syndrome. She cannot walk and may need to be out on a vent to breathe. She is in bad shape, and she's four so she doesn't understand anything that's going on and just wants to go home. We are having a rough time and life has been turned upside down for the next few months at minimum as she learns to walk and feed herself again.

I was reading about this when it was listed as one of the side effects of the Zika virus. It's scary especially for young kids. Hope and pray that she gets better soon.

May have to ask my Dr. about that--it's almost time for my annual physical. I wonder what she'll say about my weight loss. I am getting some brief, shooting pains in my lower right abdomen. you getting in some good FATS too? Maybe? I don't know. I do eat eggs most mornings, beef, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, Italian dressing, other cheese. Very occasionally salmon. I hate avocado.

Okay, back to the weekly tracking... Exercising + protein and vegetable/fruit diet seems to be the key for me. You've convinced me to try it. I seem to have difficulty getting enough protein (vegetarian) so it's hard to stay satisfied

Update
Trying to get back on track. Not exercising as much as I would like and not eating as well as I should. This is going to be a very stressful week so goal will be to not stress eat.

Anyone else think twice about eating 'that' (chocolate, cookies, ice cream) if they have to write it down? Or is that just bc I'm on Day 2 of Tracking? 😎
