Went to DD1's home last night. Had a nice visit, with she and her dogs. Took picture of one of the dogs, wearing my 'beautiful' light-up necklace with Jack-O-Lantern beads. S0 cute! I love my grand dogs! (My daughters too!)

I got over 8 hours of sleep last night. 2 hours early in the night, then up with kids and then a 6 hour stretch. Of course, I did oversleep by 30 minutes so no shower for me but today, that's ok.

I had a rough workday but I realized that it was tough only because I was dealing with someone else who was in a much tougher situation. Magnitudes tougher, actually.
Stopped on the way home and got a bottle of wine.
Score x 2.

My DD was relatively easy to get up this morning. It was a 180 from yesterday. Nothing like threatening her iPad usage.

My add was relatively easy to get up this morning. It was a 180 from yesterday. Nothing like threatening her iPad usage. I warned DH at the start of school, when we switched who was doing morning dropoff, that he shouldn't let the kids go on the Kindles in the morning. That DS in particular was NOT going to want to put it down at 7am to leave. And he's NOT taking it to school. AFter a couple of frustrated mornings, DH stopped offering Kindle time. I usually turn the TV on once they're dressed, then I bolt out the door for work.

I usually turn the TV on once they're dressed, then I bolt out the door for work. She already lost her iPad usage one day this week because she wasn't dressed after I made her lunch. The agreement was she was to be getting dressed while I was making her lunch. When I came back, she was still in her PJs watching her iPad. Mommy took it away and she lost it for the rest of the day. She was not a happy camper. After yesterday's morning debacle of getting dressed and leaving, I used the iPad usage again last night. It seemed to work.

I sometimes make lunch(es) the night before, while I'm either dealing with dinner or cleaning up. I'm really rushed and frustrated if I wait until morning.
C likes hot lunch this year. As far as I can tell, his favorites meals are the turkey with gravy over mashed potatoes and some kind of garlic pizza bread thing. We were talking about it last night because I was curious. Some days I don't think he's eating much of it at all, which might explain some of the dinners where he wants 3rds...

I get to leave work early to go help my son do spider themed activities in his classroom. It's Spinnentag! And my Mom is keeping both kids overnight because DH and I have early morning blood draws. She'd rather have them overnight than come over at 630am for thirty minutes.
Sadly, we both have to start fasting around 630pm tonight. So no dinner out, no drinking. We may grocery shop though.

Nein. I had classes in college but I don't remember very much. DH had it in high school and same thing for him. Basically, we know enough to know when to refer to Google German to English dictionaries.

The drive from hell with three cats is over! Today DS will help me unload stuffed van and return it and get my car from the Chili's parking lot where transport left it. Then I get to spend next few days making this place a "home" for the next six months while I find a new place. I want to rent for a few years. Until I know what next.

I'm thankful that my Dad is in a better head space and that he wants to meet someone for companionship. He does better when he is attached to someone and since K passed away in June I know it has been hard for him. But he was trying to have a dinner with someone he met last weekend and I now want to hear all the deets.

I'm grateful that I can sleep in today, eat breakfast then take a nap.
I decided I didn't want to drag all day and took Ibuprofen.
My 2nd grateful is Halloween mini candy bars to eat.
