I survived a massive heart attack, Wednesday, and the following surgery, to insert 2 stents on Thursday. Now I'm home again. YAY!!! That's a VERY nice thing! I wish you a quick and complete recovery!

So glad to hear you are home and doing well! This is definitely a VERY nice thing! My DH spent the weekend on pain killers due some dental work he had done last week. When on pain killers he spends his time telling me all the ways he thinks I'm wonderful. So, that's my nice thing, that's going to carry me through the next few days of work hell

When on pain killers he spends his time telling me all the ways he thinks I'm wonderful. So, that's my nice thing, that's going to carry me through the next few days of work hell When DH was on pain killers from his back surgeries, he would do the same -- to everyone, LOL -- kind of like that really drunk guy who hangs on to everyone and tells them how much he loves them. He also got really depressed, so a couple weeks after the second surgery, I loaded him up with pain killers, threw him in the back seat, and took him along with the DSs and me to a lacrosse tournament 5 hours away in Stowe, Vermont for the weekend. I had no other choice. I couldn't leave him alone safely and ODS needed to play in the tournament. We had rented an apartment at a hotel on the ground floor, so we didn't need to eat out or do much other walking around. On the last day of the tournament, I talked to the parking lot attendants and scored a handicap spot right along the field ODS was playing on. I scooted back to the hotel, grabbed DH, drove him to the field, helped him out, put him in a lawn chair, and he then proceeded to tell everyone -- even strangers -- how much he loved them. Some of the other fathers of kids on ODS's team are friends and they would walk up and introduce themselves to DH over and over -- in a hilarious but still kind way (they were keeping him occupied for me, LOL). Good times.

A friend sent me "Get well soon" flowers today. And another friend stopped by to visit- also cleaned my litter boxes and took my trash out. Both were very nice.

Yesterday, DD#1 had her district cross country meet and qualified for the state cross country meet.
Right after the meet, I took DD#2 for new pointe shoes. It was actually very nice experience which alleviated the stress of spending the $100.

My brother has such a beautiful home, and him and his wife have done such wonderful upgrades on it. I love visiting them, just I like it better when it's just me visiting. I got good news though.

I haven't seen my son in almost 6 months and he arrives this week for a 2 week visit! I have missed him so much since last year when he moved about 2000 miles away.

You had just a "bite" box, so I bit you, and your Immunity popped up. You're welcome. Go spend a fabulous infection-free visit with your son.

YDS needed a baby picture for the yearbook. I spent a couple of hours last week sorting out about 100 choices from a tub of family pictures. I let him do the choosing, but I could tell he was really enjoying the walk through his early childhood. I even got to tell him how cute he was as a baby without the usual teenage attitude. He chose a fabulous one -- a huge grin on his cherubic, chubby, baby face. I put the rest out of the pile he had narrowed down to around the kitchen. Baby YDS is everywhere!!!

My DH is finally, FINALLY feeling better from his dental work 2 weeks ago. We had a wonderful weekend, just hanging out watching football and doing house stuff. It's been awhile since we've been together for a whole weekend and could really, completely enjoy it and each other.

New meds and stents seem to be working well. Now I take all my meds at one time. I prefer it this way. I don't have such a problem with forgetting, or missing one. Have a wonderful week everyone!

They worked in my reclast appointment before I leave for Florida. It was at 7 am but I'm not sleeping anyway so getting some good stuff in my innards makes me feel better/healthier.

How can you people be talking about this when the world is ending! You fools! You utterJust kidding. Do I have any chicken soup for your souls? Let's see... Ah! My mother just won an honourable mention in a carving competition. Her entry was a life-sized chipmunk. The honour was particularly meaningful because many of the competitors had taken home wins from international (i.e. world class) carving championships. Her wee chipmunk fetched the second highest price at the subsequent auction: just under $400.00. Hence she was as happy as a chipmunk stuffed full of nuts.

Yesterday I had to go to a new doctor, and the drive over was absolutely gorgeous. It was a backroads way I've never been, and I found a bunch of parking areas off the side of a long stretch of road in a heavily wooded area with a bunch of pathways so I am going to make DH go exploring this weekend. The leaves were a gorgeous color and it just put me in a super fall mood.
