Went to the store. Looked through the clearance racks. Got a bunch of hoodies, cardigan sweaters and some zip at the front neck fleece shirts for $1 each. They were marked up to $12. And they aren't weird colors, or prints!

I am on budget billing for my gas and electric. This morning I received a bill. I have $0 due this month, which is the adjustment month. I was *that much* ahead on budget billing! Starting in May my budget billing is going down by $14 per month.
That's one nice thing to start the day, and the week.

I got rid of quite a bit of junk/clutter (actually decent household items, I just don't need any more) yesterday. I'm glad someone else can use it.
Met my friend's dad. He's 91 yrs old, still living by himself, in his own home. That's impressive. But he's becoming quite forgetful. He's been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. So I thought I would start going over and visiting with him a few times a week, to help out. We seem to get along well. The Alzheimer's wasn't nearly as advanced as I was expecting. That makes it so much easier.
Apparently he has some neighbors that like to come over and 'use his phone'. They help themselves to his food, cash etc, while they're there. That's coming to a quick halt, we hope. They have been told (very directly), the phone (everything) is off limits, from now on, so don't even ask. We'll see.
Fantastic weather tonight. We had a high of 90 degrees F today.

Please come and re-do my yard for me. And bring your adorable pup -- mine needs a play date with one of similar size and sense of humor (did you see your pup's face when he/she turned to look at you, LOL!!).

Found out Friday night (9 pm) that I was speaking to the congregants Saturday morning during services. No time to prepare, couldn't write anything down bc it was already Shabbat, but today people are still talking positively about it! Apparently it was quite thought provoking & concise (on inclusion) despite 4-5 minutes long -- everyone thought I worked on it for days and looked so natural in delivery! 2 thanked me for mentioning their programs (I gave them credit) & I remembered to get input from another during delivery. Even Rabbi said it led into a dinner discussion at her house!

Here's another part of the yard. I love the spring time so much. I love the heat of summer even more, even if where we currently live doesn't get above 75F very often.
We can see this from our bedroom and just sit on our porch and watch the water. I know we can do that all year, but I love it when those pink flowers are blooming.

I have a happy secret to keep for the next 2 weeks, so will tell it here on hopefully a totally anonymous message board.
DD2 has been dating/and now living with a guy for the past 3 years. DH and I love him. He came over out of the blue last night to share with us his 'intentions'. So nervous, started saying he has never been happier, knows she is the one, has already bought a ring, has plans to propose in the next 2 weeks. We just hugged him and said you are already like family, now it will be official.
So thinking about how happy they will be is 'one nice thing'.

plugginaway22 My daughter also got engaged about a month ago. We like the guy also! She's my only, so it's a bit of a strange feeling. In their work, the are both only licensed in NJ, so I don't have the fear of them moving far away. No date set yet, but they are planning on summer of 2017. Life is good!!

I ask my DF to start my lawnmower. When I got home from work he had mowed the lawn.
I don't suppose he'd want to come do mine? I haven't done it since last August. I think. Not really sure.
My one nice thing involves DH. He called the company who made his rollator (sp.?) walker about 2 weeks ago about some cracks/breaks in the framework around the handles. We sent pictures and didn't hear a thing from them again until last Thursday when a FedEx package was dropped off. Apparently, they sent him a brand new walker (in the same fugly orange). He called them to see if we were supposed to ship it back but nope. So these lovely people saved me $100 for a new fugly orange walker. (Sorry, I just hate the color. Give me black any day!) Apparently DH is a one-man product testing group because he had a problem with the brakes a few months ago and they sent him new ones. We did have to send the crap ones back so they could look at them. I am definitely happy with these people!

I wanted more time off work between jobs but I'm concerned that I won't get a job until late 2016 if I don't take this offer so back to work now. At least it's a raise

I got my lawn mowed after work last night. From a distance, it actually looks very nice. Green, thick, not many weeds.
The gardens -- well, that's another story, but I have someone coming tonight to talk to me about transplanting some things and doing some weeding. I'm thinking of going mostly daylily. They stay neat and look nice whether they are blooming or not.
So, two good things. Lawn mowed; looks nice. Making progress in the gardens.
