About 630 last night, J started rubbing his eyes and crying. I asked if he was ready for bed. "Night-night!" He said and made a beeline for the stairs. I scooped him up and told him to tell sister goodnight. He leaned over, gave her a big hug and kiss. Then, as I carried him upstairs, he continued blowing kisses to her. She just sat and beamed while she waved back at him

Caleb spent the entire night in his own bed! !!!!!!! He came out around 530 when I was just getting up so I tucked him onto the couch while I showered. He fell back asleep too.

I was shoveling snow at 530 am and it was really pretty. It was a ligh t an f fluffy snow with what I assume we're ice crystals, sparkling away like stars in the streetlight. And it was quiet. I did hear someone else shoveling for a couple of minutes but the quiet scrap of their shovel on the sidewalk was soothing.

Osteoblasts are immature bone cells. A blastoma is a usually benign tumor made up of these. Much better than bone cancer so I can relax a little
I'm not glad he has it but it's better than the alternative. Now I'm bugging him to buy 1m 20yr level term insurance as soon as he's insurable

80% cure rate for most osteoblastoma and higher in his case bc it isn't cancerous. Also no amputation

I love this part of my morning, it almost makes up for getting up at what I consider the buttcrack of dawn. I'm mostly ready for work, the kids are still sleeping and dh is either in the bedroom or the bathroom. I sort of feel like the only person in the world and it's quiet, peaceful and serene. It's the only me time I get and I love it.

Of course, now with teenagers, I am checking on them in the afternoon to make sure they are still breathing, LOL.

I have two. My GrS1 surprised me with a visit for lunch. He has been living in another town. Today is his son's 7th birthday who lives in WA state.
I had a wonderful time with friends at the Downton Abbey Finale big screen presentation at our Heritage Center followed by dainties and tea. All of us were early enough to get hankies to cry into! The woman next to me and the teen boy in front of me were in tears half the time.
Our friend who drove invited us in for tea, lemon bread with lemon curd and fun chatting.

Yard bid came in at $1950. Couldn't understand why it was so low until I saw that the walkway was to be 2'. Think 3' wide would look better. Still affordable. WDYT?
And yes, he's licensed. I only hire licensed guys

Finding decent artichokes at the grocery store, FINALLY. I bought 3 and am cooking them up right now. One to eat now, to to eat cold tomorrow and probably save the last one for Easter to eat before I go to work.

My computer caught a virus and got shut down completely so DH gave me my old (the drunk laptop) Toshiba that's been slightly refurbished until he can figure out what happened. This one kind of sucks because it's old but it works and it's been to rehab! HAPPY EASTER, EVERYBODY!!! If you don't celebrate Easter, Happy Weekend!!!

My saucer magnolia is in full bloom. Every year for probably the past 10 years, as soon as the blossoms began to emerge (and were vulnerable to frost), we got a hard frost and they were all lost, nearly always before they even opened fully. This year, they have been open for almost 2 weeks and no frost! I have been able to enjoy my pretty tree in full bloom for the first time in ages.

I flew kites with my daughter. It was freezing cold, but the kites were small and made of mylar, so I didn't have to run with it, to get it up in the air. LOL

It's Wednesday. I am waiting for a super blessing from the universe. You forwarded that email to 25 of your closest friends? Well, we all know who to blame for that now! Best of luck to you. I hope whatever it is, it's FABULOUS!
