What out of my vast new wardrobe do I wear? It's overcast and gonna be cool and rain on and off all day. I'm not going anywhere, and nobody will see me except DD and the cat.

Something green? Blue? Lavender? Red? Fuchsia? Pink? Yellow? Black? Purple?

I have two pairs of leggings, one grey and one black and six pairs of jeans in varying shades of denim, one pair in black.

Until I get out again and get the micellar makeup cleanser, DD has given me some pads for wiping off makeup so I can even practice with the mascara today.

Deciding what to wear is very stressful. It was easier just to throw on grubbies. It's not like there's a dinner date on the agenda or even that a Lounge Lizard will appear with a six pack of beer and a sack of pretzels.

Okay, y'all help me decide what to wear while I go get the bed made and the litter box cleaned. I'll check in after my chores are done.

Nobody came to my rescue so it's a purple and white top with elbow length sleeves and dark blue jeans. I even managed to get some mascara on without getting it all over my face.

So,I’ve gone off the deep end with shoes.
I just got another pair of Birkenstocks with Christmas money from my mother.
Then, I wandered into a complete tourist trap on Saturday. These are keens. Which means I can wear them with my T-shirt dresses and walk in them!

They're good for walking because they're keens, so I'm pretty excited about that part. They were on the clearance rack, so I don't know if there are other colors.

Yikes! We've gone over a year without posting here. 
What's everyone wearing these days? 
Anyone get jeans in the new high-waist, baggy style?

I just bought three pairs of tan trousers--each a different shade, cut, and texture. That should be the extent of my tan trouser purchasing for at least three or four years.

I've been without most of my wardrobe since we became nomads. And now that we've moved, clothes remain in Virginia and in the POD. I should get them back this month and then see what I actually have.

We have a decent-sized closet in the master bedroom (not a walk in) plus eventually I'll have our rosewood armoire in there. They should contain most of my clothes, except for coats and jackets, which can go in the coat closet.

Tan pants sound nice. What length?

I have been through my closet a few times, but need to make another pass now that I've had a handful of in office days. There's a lot that can go.

I think I look best in black Capris with a black tank top and a jacket/kimono style robe so I want to build that up for warm months so it's an easy go to.

If they weren't high waisted and I could find "short" jeans I would buy a wider leg pair for home use.  I remember those being super comfortable.

Gwen was trying on clothes the other day and it was like looking in a mirror.  It's the same stuff I wore when I was her age.  That automatically rendered anything she tried on unappealing when I mentioned it.  I mused about whether or not I could single handedly drive H&M out of business by walking my "old" ass around saying "I used to wear that!"

Big frayed holes in one leg. Think maybe some bleach didn’t get completely washed out.

Two ankle pairs and two full length. I have short legs though, so they're all petites.

See if you can't replace them with the exact same ones.

I've decided I'm pushing the easy button on wardrobe and going to copy the men in my office and wear polo shirts with slacks every day.  So I bought 7 different colors from Kohl's.  I have cardigans for the office artic.  The polos look nice on video calls.  Our return to work policy has us doing 'dress for your day' which means business casual on the rare days that we host clients and casual is acceptable otherwise.  Have yet to see published guidance for casual.  Several men have interpreted it to mean khaki shorts are okay.

I'm mostly working from home until school starts.  Then will go in 2-3 days/week.

Maybe not. But you now have a very strong weapon in case Gwen ever wants to go out in something you deem totally unacceptable

I buy from Ann Taylor too, and my DD buys clothing there when she wants a professional look - like for interviews.  Last weekend they had some great sales.  I also like Talbots for Petites. Talbots had 50% off everything over the weekend, now it is 40% off markdowns.  I am telling myself I don't need clothes.  I might need to spend $$ if I don't get serious about a diet though.

We've had great luck with poshmark. Shipping gets expensive.

Enjoying the brush of fan-propelled air.  It got pretty hot here today for my tastes, well into the 80's. No AC. With the judicious use of fans and, once they get here, shades, maybe no need for AC, even though I'm sensitive to heat.

ETA Oops, wrong thread. To bring this into OT, what do you wear or do differently for your appearance in the heat? I prefer sleeveless loose dresses, sandals and no makeup.
