Not that particular one, but I like their tea tree mint shampoo. As far as conditioner, I started using Suave sleek on my hairstylist's advice. It's cheaper that cheap, like $3 for a big bottle. My hair used to be thick, but it still gets super tangly from coloring it all the time. It doesn't work as well as some other much more expensive conditioner I used to use, but that other one got discontinued, and this one works better than most others for me.

Speaking of shampoo, does anyone else do the no/low poo hair cleansers? I've been using DevaCurl, but the price keeps going up, and it hasn't seemed like quite the same formula lately. Or maybe my hair has changed. I've tried a few others (As I Am, Eden Bodyworks, Renpure) but didn't really like those for one reason or another. Anyone use one they really like?

I wash with suave clarifying conditioner (not the shampoo) and my hair has never been better. The specific products never worked well for me.

So you use that as a cleanser and don't use anything else shampoo-ey?

Mid back more coarse than fine. It looks thicker than it is. I never thought I had curls but now I get really defined waves and even some ringlets. I scrunch in diy hair butter (blended coconut oil and Shea butter) after showering as well. The suave is $2 a bottle so it's as cheap as you can get. Years ago I did a condition, wash, condition routine that worked well at the time. Not sure if I'm less oily these days but my hair is a lot less damaged then it was then. First condition was with a cheap suave product, then wash the roots with shampoo, then a thicker conditioner on the ends.

My whole friggin body is dry anymore. T1 has oily hair though. Maybe that will work for her.

Shampoo will strip the oil from your hair, so not using shampoo can be difficult if you are usually oily. I haven't had an issue without shampoo for at least a year or more. But in my 20's I had to use at least some shampoo or I was a greaseball.

I have oily hair and when I tried the whole no shampoo thing I looked like Professor Snape. People kept assuring me that I had to just stick it out awhile long and my hair would balance out. Yeah. .. no.

Have you tried Paul Mitchell Awapui? It's really good for oily hair.

I've actually seen a bunch of recommendations online for Suave as a cheap cowash alternative. My hair wash schedule is Sunday/Tuesday/Friday. Now that the weather is getting colder and the air drier, I can probably start replacing the Friday wash with a cowash. I used to cowash years ago. I don't know why I stopped.

I'm really trying to cut down on plastic and we've switched to a shampoo bar for the kids and at the pool, but its hard to find conditioner bars (and when I do find them their price and the shipping is pretty dang high) and I'm sure I'll have to switch up my hair routine when/if I do which feels like so much work so I've done nothing.

Okay, I'm going to have to try the Suave. I haven't used actual shampoo in at least 8 years, or conditioner for that matter, just different cowash products. I wouldn't think the conditioner would cleanse, but apparently it must.

Which bar do you use? I've tried a couple and my hair has felt 'coated' afterward. I'm also trying to reduce plastic and once my current stash of body washes have been used I'm returning to bar soap but I haven't been able to find a good shampoo bar.

This one is from a local guy at a craft fair by me. I haven't tried the commercial ones yet. Dd hair took a while to adjust to it and its okay now but I also have her doing more conditioner only washes. You might try an apple cider vinegar rinse after the shampoo bar. I usually did about 1/4th acv to 3/4ths water. Soak the length in it for a bit and then pour the rest over my roots. (Full disclosure--I haven't tried this with the shampoo bar, but I'm thinking it might take care of the coating issue).

I didn't know shampoo bars were a thing, so I googled it. You can get them at Target for $5 for the Love Beauty and Planet brand. I have some of their shampoo and conditioner I want to try. I'm just waiting for my Maui Moisture to run out.

I’m hoping I can fit into my long dress this Saturday night after pigging out all weekend. Starting Thursday and ending Monday night. I’m fasting today so drinking water like crazy. Hair appointment is tomorrow so I won’t have roots for Saturday night. I wish I knew how to French braid or put my own hair up. Getting someone to do anything starts at $35.

All this hair talk made me go looking for old hair forums I used to read. My main one closed down years ago, but all the posts are still there including my hair journal from 2004-2008. I downloaded it to pdf. I can't wait to read about the coffee and beer rinses, and everything else from the kitchen I soaked my hair in. That is apparently what I did before I had kids. Lol.

Although those hair journal days did include a lot of gratuitous pictures of the back of my head.

I guess it stands for conditioning wash? It's a cleansing conditioner. It doesn't strip your hair like regular shampoo, but it does clean it, and most of them have little to no lather, aka no suds.

I live in the land of single digit humidity and have probably tried every lip balm known to mankind. New favorite: Mongo Kiss

Gwen suggested I add more purple to my wardrobe.
I'm finding it a hard freaking color to incorporate!
Decided I'll try accessories which are much easier to blend in.
