There's an easy solution.  Stop watching.  I stopped after the episode that Glen got hit by the baseball bat (1st episode of the last year season, I think?).

The show jumped the shark after that and I stopped watching.  Sure TWD had been somewhat gruesome before that, but not THAT gruesome.  It's like it was gruesome for the sake of being gruesome.  Like they were trying to catch up to the gruesomeness in the comic book or something all in one episode.  Don't give me PG13 TWD for so may walking dead seasons and then try to go X rated on me.......  And they dragged it out so much, Neegan taking Rick away in the RV and stuff.....after that episode I stopped watching

Just stop watching.  I don't regret it.

It's starting to remind me of the last couple of seasons of Sons of Anarchy (which I loved up until that point), where they just start seeing who they can kill off. I'm also finding it hard to suspend belief during the 5+ minute gunfights where they're shooting at each other with automatic weapons from 20' away and never getting a kill shot.

I kind of agree with Rob--after they killed Glenn and Abraham, my heart just wasn't in it anymore. It sucks, because I used to love this show. The last time I really had a "hell yeah" moment was when Sasha turned herself into a zombie.

DH says the new baby is to replace Judith because she's going to die in the next couple of episodes. His predictions are usually pretty on-point.

I couldn't stand Abraham! what an ass! Glenn another non-favorite I didn't and don't miss, or think about. however with that said. It was very sad when they were killed. but great Abraham was killed. good riddance. Sasha, gone, ok, not really a big deal for me. but also does make a difference without her. that is a funny prediction! I don't see that happening about the baby.

well it sounds like you have watched a lot of the series midjd. trust me. I understand your loss of interest when you made an example of Sons of Anarchy.

for me it is VERY Frustrating to see people shooting at someone - right there in front of them! in a F-ing hallway! and the person is NOT shot!!!

another major cast member has been let go from the show. I feel it is about time. should have gotten the boot a while ago actually! I miss Shiva! and will miss Shiva more than this last character that will not be returning 2018 season. but with that said! this loss of this major character will effect the seasons to come. and that is why I am sad over the death!

I predicted that WD and FOWD would have some character overlap at some point and it sounds like one of them will be Morgan.

Dang, we're not going to get rid of Negan yet this season, are we?  I hated his whole arc in the comics & almost quit watching the show, even though it's my favorite right now, because of him.  Time to be done with him, please.....

I don't think they can really make him nice but it seems like trying to soften him a little.
Maybe they just want us to feel something other than just happy when they kill him.

{1} Negan! he must be a cyborg? how is it I think in a total of 3 episodes now? rapid fire guns are being used and NO one is getting shot! it's not even funny. Rick was dam near right behind Negan. rapid firing his gun as Negan was running away. but Rick was so F-ing Close. I mean Negan and Rick were close enough to be in the same F-ing room distance away. Negan doesn't get shot? not once? not even in the shoulder? I mean Rick was like less than 10 steps away from Negan when he started shooting. then to make it worse. Rick chased after Negan inside the building and was in a kinda narrow hallway. Shooting. Negan stil doesn't get shot? He has to be a cyborg from the future and actually did get shot?

{2} at the hilltop. the lights go out. the Saviors walk right up front. on the F-ing front line. exposed! their guns down at their side. the saviors was thinking the Hilltop people left. no protection. nowhere to hide. walking around in the dark right in front of the windows. lights turn on and multiple rapid fire guns are firing at them. not one Savior gets shot?  

{3} maybe I am looking at this all wrong? maybe it just looked like they intended to shoot people and really they were actually aiming elsewhere and firing warning shots?

OK, Eugene rigging the bullets was kind of cool, but the idea that Rick can slit someone's throat just enough to keep them from smashing his brain in with a barbed-wire-covered baseball bat yet not enough to actually kill them (in a world without much modern medicine) is almost as ridiculous as these 5-minute firefights where tens of thousands of bullets are exchanged and no main characters even get grazed. I can only suspend belief for so long (which, admittedly, is not very long) and the last half of this season has been stretching it.

Last week’s was pretty good though, it wrapped up more subplots than the rest of the season combined (maybe the last 2 seasons, lol). A refreshing change of pace.

d.u.m.b. - that's what I thought about the Rick/Neegan thing. 

Admittedly, we have speed-watched this season, besides Carl's death, because it has sucked (for us). This is us - "blah, blah, blah, shooting where no one gets hurt, blah blah blah, oh so much ammunition these days, blah blah blah, episode's over."

I told DH that I was glad to know that if I got my throat slit during the zombie apocalypse and there were no hospitals or surgeons or anything, I could still get stitched up and not die of an infection, etc. 

Also - I hated the Rick/Carl flashback - you can tell that Andrew Lincoln's hair had to be dyed back to that color, his face looks older, etc.

I would love to see what the show could have been had Frank Darabont stayed past season 1, the last couple seasons have sucked. I thought Neegan was going to be good but it just kind of fizzled after his first appearance.

Well, Andrew Lincoln plays RICK Grimes. 

He didn't get fired - he quit.

He's British and lives in England. He has been leaving his family every year and flying back and forth to film The Walking Dead for ten years. The guy needs a nap!
