I finally watched it last night. I thought it was better than the first season. Maddie & Travis are really bad at the parenting thing though. They are on a freaking boat & still have no clue what any of their children are doing.

DH argued that WD was slow to start he wasn't even sure he would continue watching.   I said it's not the slow burn of FWD that is getting me.  It's I hate EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER ON THE SHOW!

I can't get myself to care about what happens to them at all.

Only one scene in the whole hour got my attention

Other than that I just kept praying someone would FINALLY die.  Hope Maddie goes first.  God I hate Maddie.

This last episode with the island family

when little girl walker ate her mom, then older son "killed" walker mom

kind of freaked me out a little.

And I haven't really cared about any of the characters either, but I'm starting to like Nick.

FWD is on right now.   DH is watching but I still can't get myself to care about any of the characters.   He said it's interesting to see different zombies and "how it all started".

Meh, they haven't really given us that much more about how it all started than WD did.   The make-up effects are great but then it's Greg Nicataro of course they would be great.    His mastery of make-up is not enough to hold my interest.

It's like an entire show of Lauries.   Even she wasn't as self rightous as Travis or Maddie.

I'm watching FWD again. I enjoyed the last two episodes. I stopped watching before the season break & deleted the last 2 or 3 episodes so I have no idea how the family got split up but it is the best thing the writers could have done. Together they were boring. Now that they are having different experiences it is much better.  If it continues I may actually like the show.  Never as much as the original but I won't be wishing for everybody to die like I did last season.

PS - can anyone tell me how Daniel (I think that's his name - the older Mexican guy who was the only one worth a damn all first season) died?  I'm sorry they killed him off.

I watched the 2 hour retrospective last Sunday & it was ok. It was fun to see the older episodes.

I saw that Norman Reddus's show has been renewed.  I can't imagine he is the one to go though.  My money is on Abraham.

I won't watch the season premiere until Monday morning.  For one, I will have to purchase it from Amazon.  My BFF lives upstairs so I could watch it on her TV but I really want to wait because I am afraid that whatever happens may stick with me if I watch it right before bed.  Unfortunately, that sometimes happens to me after watching the show and then I don't sleep well.  I have Mondays off so I can watch it in the morning, then go to the gym, run errands, etc.  By the time evening rolls around it won't be in my head as much.

We've been debating if we even want to watch the season premiere (of course we do!) because we know someone's gonna die.

DH is still betting on Daryl.

I think it's going to be Michonne because Neegan said "Look at that, taking it like a man!".    Why would he say that if it was one of the male characters that died?

Plus we all know what happens to any woman Rick has ever been involved with.  Look at Jessie and Laurie.

Maybe Maggie which would be really brutal because Neegan just murdered a pregnant lady.   BUT Maggie is essential to several upcoming plot lines if they are going to follow the graphic novel more so it's unlikely they would kill her.

If it's Glenn after all the crap they pulled last season I am going to be so pissed off.

All we know it is it isn't Rick and it isn't Carl.

My money is on Glenn....I figure they teased us enough last season with "almost" killing him......now they finished the job.....

You don't have to guess. The spoiling dead forums have proof that it WILL be two deaths. Glenn and Abraham. Abraham tries to interfere in the beat down and goes down, too. Both actors have not been on set for shooting and the show is already shooting the second half scenes. Glenn is already working on a new movie project.

Abraham is another one we've considered. His story arc has him talking about family and a future so that's about when they kill you on this show.

I saw the preview Journey to now episode and so agree with lexxy703
seeing the cast from start out to now was an amazing transformation.

the preview of Season Seven was shown VERY tastefully!
everybody and their pet pug knows it's not going to be Rick! LOL
so the preview showed Negan talking to Rick! I turned up the volume and surround sound so loud listening for any sign of crying or movements or anything. looking around in the background, something. but everything was shot at close range and no background sounds!

lastly - I was believing it was someone very close to Rick. right up until I saw this preview. Rick expression was NOT as if it were Carl or Michonne or the baby!
his expression was like my guess Abraham

I'm bringing this little info suggestion to work tomorrow!

I have to watch before work Monday! OH wait!
I am on Vacation days Monday and Tuesday! (well 90% chance I'll be out of the office - LOL)

yea true - I can understand that. what gets my goat is when I watch a movie that is basically a horror, though I'm NOT scared, or frightened!
like the movie Fright Night or Beetle Juice! so I don't watch Horror type movies or shows before bed.


there is sooo much build up for this season opener. I am going to record the first showing and the two encores!
cause I can see my DVR crapping out, or partial record, or some glitch or LOL too funny!

I wasn't as horrified as I thought I would be.   I think that is partially to do with the fact that I've had several months already to process what was going to happen.   I was ready for it unlike when I watched the season finale.

Other parts of the episode were gut twisters but the big reveal didn't have the impact I thought it would at least for me.
