the reporter on the radio stated 9 to 3 for acquittal. I thought it was more than a coincidence that the jury was 3 black and 9 whites.

Now I understand the 9 for acquittal and 3 for guilty. It is not guilt or innocence. The grand jury was looking for whether there was the evidence to prosecute. There was not. OMG they better be a citizen because probably they can not pass a citizenship test!!

It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

Now I understand the 9 for acquittal and 3 for guilty. How lovely for you. It's amazing how well you can understand that when the results of the vote have not been released.

the reporter on the radio stated 9 to 3 for acquittal. I thought it was more than a coincidence that the jury was 3 black and 9 whites. Perhaps that's a really good indication we shouldn't "think" we know what something is when we don't know a darned thing about it. That isn't thinking. That's letting your bias think for you. Assumption isn't a good way to approach anything.

Doesn't looting and burning down the town when you don't like a verdict fuel racism? However, i will agree that is no "orbital blowout fracture". But, now, the facts should come out from the other side.

I think the focus should be on police finding more nonlethal ways to handle situations.

I have said many times that there are nonlethal ways that can be used. And, there are cops in other states using rubber bullets, tasers, etc. Yes, a taser can kill you but it still generally is not as lethal as being shot in the chest or head.

Maybe there's a situation because people don't work. I find that people who actually work have very little time to cause trouble. More jobs and less handouts. Doesn't anyone think it's odd that illegals protesting to have RIGHTS have the time to do just that when others who are working their tails off supporting illegals and other system abusers don't have time or the energy to protest about their RIGHTS to not have their hard earned dollars stolen to support others? Get jobs going and people have to take them, even if it means moving away. Best thing for a lot of those people. Get away from that ghetto mentality and the trouble it causes. My girlfriend's son wanted to stay in Michigan for some reason. No jobs where he was so he had to leave home and go to S. Dakota. Think he likes it there? Not. But he has a full time job that pays well. At home he had to live with mom and work part time for a landscape company. This country needs jobs, not welfare. Sitting around doing nothing gives too much time to cause trouble.

I don't like the President's tone either. Uppity if you ask me. These kinds of comments show who the people are that really LOVE racism. Because it seems you just LOVE to run around and make these kinds of statements. Uh huh.

Uppity? No. Disapproving? Yes. But it's just for show.

See I didn't get that at all.
I heard concern in his voice, and a caution not to let emotions run wild and do something stupid.
I do agree it was for show. A lot of what any president does is for show. It is called being the Head of State, and it is the symbolic part of his (or her) job. "Tone" trumps any spoken words, don't you know. What the president was actually saying through his tone's special code message to black America was, "No justice, no peace." .

The president was also facing a tough optical challenge. Even as he spoke, networks were broadcasting images of clashes between police and protesters on the streets of Ferguson.
The president pleaded with broadcasters to tell the stories of civil rights protesters and peaceful demonstrators, not just show instances of violence.
“There is inevitably going to be some negative reaction, and it’ll make for good TV,” Obama said.

Where was the president and the rest when Dillon Taylor (a white teen) was killed by a black officer? I also don't remember anyone in Utah rioting, looting or burning anything down. In fact, I don't remember this shooting getting much coverage at all.....

Well now you didn't really see what you saw. You folks that watched all the looting and burning were delusional it didn't really happen. So now those businesses are still there, they didn't get burned down.
I think the cops did exactly what they should have if they had done anything else they would have been crucified. If they don't care enough to stop this in their community, well I don't know what to say.
Again the whole thing is just sad.
I saw looting and burning. Did you hear all the condemnation of it?

In fact, I don't remember this shooting getting much coverage at all..... White people only riot over for more important things than the shooting of their young men. Sports events immediately come to mind like the Vancouver hockey riots of 2011.
