It's been reported the Congressional Black Congress has stated the decision to not prosecute is a slap in the face.
Waiting to hear what the Congressional White Congress has to say. You mean the Republican Caucus?

Autopsy results and other physical evidence cleared the officer. Bottom line: don't rob a store (video evidence), reach into a cop's car putting hand on gun (residue on Brown's hand, blood inside vehicle, gun shot down to floormat), run away, then turn on armed individual (gunshot to front -- 3 autopsies showed no wounds on back) if ya don't want to be shot.
To bad the president is unaware of due process. Perhaps a course on law while in school might have been helpful
Nice pic behind pres during his speech ~~ good thing rioting solves all probs

Just watched them tear gas Don Lemon and another CNN reporter on air. Ya know, no matter what, when the police are going after reporters, we have a problem.

Are you sure they are targeting reporters or are the reporters imbedded in the rioters? 2 different things

What a shame they didn't bow to political pressure black caucus. Shameful. Obama is one to talk about law. He doesn't enforce the ones he doesn't agree with. Or whichever the prevailing wind seems to blow.

I'm so burned out on CNN, I might just tear gas them just to get even with their lousy reporting. I know they have to do what the people watch. So, I guess I should just be disgusted with the general population. But, it is much easier to just blame CNN.

Out of a morbid sense of curiosity only... I am curious, and wonder what the racial makeup of the Grand Jury was...

The Grand Jury was already seated and was representative of the county at large: 7 white men & 2 white women 2 black men & 1 black woman
But that has no effect on physical evidence and it was unanimous

@tiki
Bottom line: officer was doing his job according to PHYSICAL EVIDENCE. He was hired to protect the law abiding citizens and businesses in Ferguson. President faults him for that, do you?

The blurbs I just read has the President asking people to be calm, respect the decision, and that he understands the frustration some people have with the police.

I can't find one that says it was unanimous. I just find numerous ones that say there will be no indictment.

Can't post links from the full announcement. But thought I heard it. Actually immaterial. Hard physical evidence cleared him. Case closed. President weighs in as riots start voicing his dissatisfaction with due process

www.nationaljournal.com/white-house/obama-speaks-on-the-ferguson-decision-20141124
November 24, 2014 At the culmination of a tumultuous day, President Obama spoke from the White House on the decision made in Ferguson not to prosecute the police officer who shot and killed an 18-year-old African American man this past August.
"We need to accept that this decision was the grand jury's to make," Obama said Monday night. "There are Americans who agree with it, and there are Americans who are deeply upset, even angry. It's an understandable reaction. But I join Michael's parents in asking anyone who protests this decision to do so peacefully."
"The fact is, in too many parts of this country, a deep distrust exists between law enforcement and communities of color. Some of this is the result of the legacy of racial discrimination in this country. And this is tragic because nobody needs good policing more than poor communities with higher crime rates," Obama said, highlighting the need for criminal justice reform. "We need to recognize that this is not just an issue for Ferguson, this is an issue for America."

I was impressed with the calm the first few hours. Then it looked like the crowds went home. Leaving the burning and looting to out of town criminals who wanted to take advantage of the situation.
Yes there are racial problems there that led up to Brown believing he could rob a store, try to take a police officers gun and then walk toward him in a threatening manner. Good call by the grand jury. Now things need to improve in that town. The prosecutor gave some enlightening information. Like eye witnesses who only saw it on TV. How forensic evidence helped. Brown had gun powder on his hand from when he grabbed the officers gun in the car and it fired.

Now I understand the 9 for acquittal and 3 for guilty. It is not guilt or innocence. The grand jury was looking for whether there was the evidence to prosecute. There was not.

Now I understand the 9 for acquittal and 3 for guilty. Why do you think blacks aren't able to understand physical evidence?

There will be no release of the vote count- asked and answered by the prosecutor. Might have been 9-3, might have been unanimous, might have been 8-4 to indict for all we know.
Imagine the outrage if more voted to indict than did not- but yet that's the system.
Saw the pictures of the cop's 'injuries'- he really worked him over -rofl-orbital blowout fracture and all
