Did what you read also describe in detail what she did in Ferguson like looting, burning buildings, throwing things at the police and other violent things too?
Or did she go to Ferguson to peacefully protest and if she did just exactly that how was karma deserved?
The article didn't say anything about what she did in Ferguson, just that when she got home her house had been broken into.
My thoughts are ......... wonder how many other protestors are from out of the area. Karma? IMO she would have been better off staying at home and taking care of business here. So why was karma maybe warranted? Have you never stood up for something/anything and if you did, would you deserve your home broken into?

What in the hell are they waiting for? The only shocking announcement would be an indictment anyway- the residents already assume he is going to get a pass. Cops usually do.
Meanwhile the crowd is growing and probably impatient. Doesn't appear to be a competent person in the works and have effed this up from day one. What a mess.

My guess would be something like go defend a thug and you get broken into by a thug or something to that effect.....Didn't sound nice.

Your #32. I asked earlier why are they waiting for dark. Just harder to control the crowd. Too many chances for something to go wrong then you have the "mob mentality."

Most of you are not old enough to remember the riots in E. St. Louis back in the late 1960s, or the riots in Los Angeles during that time also.
Nothing good is likely to come from this no matter which way the decision goes. And I hate to see our first responders put into harms way for a pack of unruly thugs hell bent on destruction. If it was up to me (and probably good it isn't) I'd pull all the first responders and have the gas & electric suppliers cut of service to the entire area until this is over. If they want burn down their town, so be it....they have to live there not me.
...running for cover.

Ok, for starters I'm hoping there are peaceful protest only tonight, but I expect there to be big problems. I also feel like the DA is trying to set it up for there to be violence by dragging out the announcement, waiting until the crowds grow larger & more impatient, and letting the tension build to there will be a breaking point & it will be ugly. Then he can say "See I told you it would be bad."
We do have a police problem with seriously out of control officers abusing their powers. We do have a problem when police shootings aren't even counted. We do have a problem with police shooting young black men. the light is being shined on those problems now. The problem is that the young man's death who brought it all to the front shouldn't be considered a hero or a beacon of hope.
that's where I'm torn on the issue. I totally get why the protesters are upset & angry. Too many die daily and no one is even bothering to keep count so we know how bad the problem is. But Mike Brown isn't the good guy bringing all the problems to light. the wrong guy is being used for the right reasons IMO.
I hope for only peaceful protests, but I understand why they are so angry and it's going to be such a waste of opportunity if they burn the place down. Everyone is watching, I hope someone with control and influence is able to keep a lid on it all and maintain peaceful protests. I completely support the right to protest peacefully.

Maybe law enforcement are trying to work with Michael Brown's family to see if they can get them to encourage a more peaceful acceptance of the verdict? Maybe the lawyers might be going through the pieces and seeing if they can explain why they reached the decision they did?
To me, it sounds like the autopsy wasn't supporting the story the protesters are telling, but it wasn't a crystal clear verification that it went down the way the officer said it did.

To me, it sounds like the autopsy wasn't supporting the story the protesters are telling, but it wasn't a crystal clear verification that it went down the way the officer said it did. After news spread Monday that the jury had made a decision, Michael Brown's family released a statement calling for 4 1/2 minutes of silence after the findings are announced, "to remember why we lift our voices." Their message continues: "We are not here to be violent. We are here in memory of our son. We are here for protection of all children. We are here to support justice and equality for all people. We lift our voices to ensure black and brown men, women, and children can live in this country without being devalued because of the color of our skin." www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2014/11/24/366370100/grand-jury-reaches-decision-in-michael-brown-case

The announcement is being made. They are emphasizing how thorough the review was. It looks like no probable cause.

That may depend upon the availability of the sought item... Seeking porn on the internet? Very hard to NOT find. Seeking an honest politician? Might be a little more difficult.

Oh lordy, just heard something that sounded like gun fire on a live feed. Here's hoping it was firecrackers or something.

The facts didn't fit whatever political agenda was trying to be pushed. There are plenty of instances of true police brutality and improper use of force. This ain't one if them .

Trouble with that is that shop owners expect and should receive protection of their shops from the mob. Decent citizens not rioting should be protected from those that are. So how do you do this without endangering more lives? Letting in rabble rousers from the outside should have never happened to begin with.

If the President truly believes that it was the grand jury's decision to make then why is he jumping into the foray with statements indicating disappointment with their decision? (Listening to him speak now)

It's been reported the Congressional Black Congress has stated the decision to not prosecute is a slap in the face.
Waiting to hear what the Congressional White Congress has to say.
