I suggest spin her, pin her arms to her sides and walk her off the damned elevator. He's plenty big and strong enough to do just that. Ohhh so she could bash her head into him and continue the attack... or kick back one of her heels and smash his "Family jewels"... or stomp on the top of his foot and possibly break his arch... good plan. Not. I still suggest "render her unconscious". Whaaaaatttt?!? Do you know what spin and pin is, Richard? It sure doesn't sound like it! If you don't, you probably shouldn't be commenting. She wouldn't get close enough to ram him, or stomp on his foot.

why would liberals want to punish the NFL? Because the NFL didn't bow down and obey the dear leader and abandon the Redskins name. Because football is a game won by the fastest, and the strongest, and it rakes in hundreds of billions of dollars a year from people who like to watch the very best compete. Anyway- I think I've already covered this pretty well. You have GOT to be kidding me! Please, tell me this nonsense is a joke! Please!

This Liberal loves sports. Especially football. This Liberal hates soccer...only thing worse than soccer is golf. This Liberal also really enjoys Nascar, you know that Southern, Christian, Republican redneck sport. It's amazing how certain people actually know very little about Liberals. Like many liberals, you're not. You just think you are. You're not going to last over there on the left. You're going to get a George Zimmerman, Juan Williams kind of a wake up call at some point. Paul, it's probably better not to tell other people how they think. That's sorta up to them to decide, not you.

What he did was child abuse. He didn't seem to see any wrong in it, so I imagine it's not the first time. He should have his arse thrown in jail and be forbidden to ever be around children. That's a start. As for playing football again, I don't believe he should ever play again. The example he sets isn't one that should be set by a public figure, I don't care how well he plays. We'll see what happens to him by law if the mother of the child files charges. That's not something I'm going to prognosticate. As to stoning, the only person who's mentioned that is you. Hyperbole much? That was an example of mine, but then we can go with the Biblical eye for an eye if that makes you feel better. You want him to feel the same pain. Forty lashes in the public square! Just do court ordered "no contact order" the speedy trial, and immediate sentencing without 60 days to get his affairs in order.
One more thought. We all know this starts in College when the players are pampered, not forced to actually go to class, party all year and are protected by the University. This is where we have to stop the behavior.
No, we don't all know where and when this starts. Physical violence against others isn't limited to sports figures.

Kids get concussions when getting hit in the head with balls. Not a difficult concept.

I agree it doesn't give you the right to damage or kill them... but it does giv you the right to stop their attack by whatever means necessary. In a confined space (such as an elevator) "leaving" was not an option. How else do you suggest stopping an attack is leaving is NOT an option? I suggest "render the attacker unconscious". She was no threat to him. Her attacks were spitting and open-handed hitting. He's a damn NFL player for crying out loud- he's been hit harder with towels in the locker room. You can defend yourself against a woman if she poses a real threat, but you don't hit a hysterical woman having a hissy fit. You walk away. I find it odd that you agree he totally overreacted by punching her, but at the same time trying to spin this into a liberal issue. I don't see this as a political issue at all. I think some things such as dv and child abuse are above politics.

Well if head injuries are the end of the the NFLthen it also shshould be the end if soccer. While, soccer players get concussions, they don't suffer the same extent of brain injuries football players do. The point of football is to have contact with the other persons and tackle them and they spend years smacking their heads into one another. A soccer player is more likely to,suffer an incident of a concussion because of incidental contact. But when they get one, it's usually a doozy since they don't have a helmet.

And the hits just keep coming..... Adrian Peterson, running back for the Minnesota Vikings was arrested for beating his four year old with a switch (tree branch). Released on bond and the Vikings have announced he will not be playing Sunday.
And pray tell all you experts out there, what is his proper penalty he must publicly pay the American jury? Can Roger Goodell save his own job by banning him for a year? Should he ban him? If I remember correctly he had some incident last year, but I am not sure it was with his son. beating a child with anything other than an open hand is illegal in many places.

As far as I'm concerned, this guy needs to feel the same pain. He should never play again for any team. Expertise is not necessary. The child was 4 years old. That's all I need to know. indeed. a child that young might "mimic" good behavior, but he doesn't understand it- nor does he understand the punishment.

I personally think this is the beginning of the end for the NFL. The left never loses a target once they've locked on to it. They're going to screw it up someway some how. They'll figure out how to dumb it down, grade on a curve, and basically make it about as uninteresting as their favorite sport- soccer. i think all sports are dull, other than the ones i am playing.

Paul is absolutely right. Liberalism can take facts or situations and literally paint them to be anything that suits their agenda. Punching a cop in the face and accosting a clerk in a convenience store = good. Wife beating = bad, but they aren't sooo concerned about Ray Rice but about punishing the NFL and trying to discredit football which is the REAL agenda. There's no question in my mind that Barry McMomjeans hates "jocks" in general, but especially professional sports leagues because he has a deep seeded resentment of success in general, but he perceives professional sports as a symbol of the irrationality of markets, throw in that it's perceived as being as run by rich white guys, is dominated by the strong, physically, and mentally gifted who have received their talent and treasure unfairly and in the zero-sum-game of the left- at the expense of school teachers and climate researchers-- and you've got a rich target in the NFL. No doubt he sees professional sports as a "waste of resources", a bastion of American cultural hedgemony . The reason I like sports is the reason so many leftists hate it. I've said it before, I'll say it again- liberalism is an ideology at war with nature itself. It resents winners, and extols losers- without giving much thought to the "why". Sports, however, seem particularly arbitrary. Having not been a jock myself, I relate to the frustration of being humiliated by guys that win for no other reason than that they are stronger, faster, better coordinated, etc. Nature just dealt some people a better hand in a very narrow area of life. Dealing with this can be tough at times, but it can be a lot tougher if you come with the standard mental imbalance of your average left wing loon. In sports- for the most part there's a beginning, and there's an end, there's a winner, and there's a loser. And while there are rules and regulations, referees, instant replays, and even handicaps in some sports-- sports contests are by and large not weighted for "fairness", and they are not litigated, except unofficially by drunken bar patrons, after the fact-- and even drunken bar patrons are eventually have to accept the outcome. Winners win, and losers lose. The winners are not later brought down arbitrarily, and points are not "redistributed". Liberals know sports are a perfect metaphor for the way life really works, and that represents an enormous threat to the entire liberal ideology.
I find that totally unsurprising (and likely quite informative of your belief system and posting style.) I was, and can categorically state that your entire stream of argument is utter nonsense. That it is so here is also totally unsurprising. It is pretty much everywhere you post.
