It was, same to you! Rig count increase this last quarter. Repeat of last quarter but in the 1.5% range because summer travel was good because of low gas? Earnings this quarter are a big one. We see that DOW at 20k call. Have to let the Chinese load up on their CDS... The we see the earnings correction to correlation show from factset?? Guess we'll see. A++++++, This would have been a cheap year to have gone to Paris. Problem was Paris,Tx is better know for Salty soups the fancy expensive art or Playel Halls etc. Room rates in Paris,Fr were down large but mostly not taken due problems with safety issues. No one I know went to Europe this summer. Many took "staycations" . Just a thought, Duke Duke, I did see that tourism was down to Europe. TSA is reporting a record number of passengers for the summer and U.S. gasoline consumption and exports hit record highs(this while electric cars sales are a "record highs" hey? ). "Staycations" might not take you to exotic lands, but they do put money into the general economy. Good point! As usual.

A+++++, The funny thing about the "Staycatios" was the$$$$ spent at Home Depot. Many yards and gardens look great in Midland and Abilene. The increase in rain did not hurt plants here either. The local area pecan and apple production is also above average. HEB has added a huge "Market Street" sales unit that has a large number of local foods for sale. Midland is becoming less and less dependent of the price of oil. Like Abilene we have more and more jobs that relating to retirement and processing of Methane. I am more excited about the wine industry do in part knowing the befits of the red antioxidants to the heart. West Texas is sitting on a underground water system the should last as long as 100 years if used slowly. Texas produced wine before California. IN my opinion, The value of water under Texas is greater the the oil or/and coal. Just a thought, Duke

Duke, that sounds like you are saying the increased summer travel within the US during the summer means GDP wouldn't currently be decreasing. Yes, it's the same all over I think with more local food markets. It's a great movement because it will lead to less waste. Farmers need their value added supply line as well. I think each one of the assets you listed can be equally as valuable as long as they are developed properly, with the idea of zero waste in mind. Which is why that is the plan, stan.

A+++++, The picture is very complex but July 2016 GDP growth was 1.1% vs 0.7% growth for January. When you concerned the increase in savings to 5.7% for July ( FRED) you can see why we have too many cargo ships now. Too many " Floating coffins". Remember GDP is things sold and not increased in value like adding value with work done by home owners except goods needed for the improvements. With that said, My grandfather Green told me he had not lost money during the 1930 due to the fact his dividends bought more and the post man delivered his checks monthly! I have taken this one step greater by reinvesting most of my dividends. We have been big at the ranch with less waste. To quote "“The scientific man does not aim at an immediate result. He does not expect that his advanced ideas will be readily taken up… His duty is to lay the foundation for those who are to come, and point the way.” – Nikola Tesla! Just a thought(Mine), Duke

Duke, I was being a bit rhetorical. Agreed, things bought to make the house look better, trips to different parts of the country, back to school spending, the air travel TSA is reporting, all things bought during the summers slight uptick from a very dismal year, which caps off the worst economic record for a president since WW2. Yes, everything set out by past scientific minds we have discussed is within reach due to how history repeats itself. Happy we met. Looking forward to the future.
