Another day of doing nothing but watching the 4 boys and working. They were bad today and I had to yell at them. I am not allowed to touch them, just tell their dad what they did when he gets home. I don't agree with that but they are their kids so that is what I do. It's like telling a dog that he has to let you know when he has to pee and you will let him out, only he peed 5 hours ago. How is he to know what you are tying him out for if it isn't at the time of the offence. Sorry it is just a bad day and my feet hurt.

I picked tomatoes today. A LOT of tomatoes. I am giving bags-full away tomorrow. (All are nicely washed and sorted.)
I did a load of laundry ... including putting everything away.
I relocated two fell-off-the-track closet doors from the hallway to the spare bedroom. (My silly cats managed to knock them off the track, yet again.
I named a mom and four kittens and wrote adoption descriptions for them. (Caramel Apple, Apple Pie, Apple Crisp, Apple Cider and Applesauce) I also processed 3 or 4 cat applications. And, of course, posted on the rescue page all day long, answered a gazillion questions and emails, and had to ban two people. Also made and received a number of phone calls.
I read in the pool in the shade.

I started another quilt yesterday and all the fabric has been cut. This one is from batik fabric, so the colors are exceptional. It's another donation quilt for the fire department.
I also made a trip to TFM for some veggies and found the most wonderful toffee chunk cookies. I think DH injured his foot a few days ago, so I told him to stay put in the recliner with his foot up....gee, he certainly was able to fulfill that instruction.

So far today: Up late, preened, checked on neighbors w/ a dead car battery, commuted, said good morning to the city parking ticket lady, opened the office, ate boiled eggs, checked 3 FB accounts, posted something on the ATV club and my agency pages, transferred money from savings, ordered 2 RX, cancelled the satellite IT appointment, checked in here and on a few other sites, reviewed 8 email, took 3 phone calls, spoke with a friend who wants me to review their county commissioner's new video, spoke with the home office gal, forwarded a new quote.... Yay Friday!

My aunt would sometimes put my kids in time out in the "ugly chair" (if you were being "ugly" you had to sit there). It'd be better than nothing.

Fast until cholesterol/blood sugar test. That pesky cholesterol.
I missed my gym workout because of the test but did go play tennis. I noticed the lack of gym workout so did a few push ups to get some pump in my arms.
Hot, humid, we were some wilted people.
Home, crush ice and cover with lemonade as DH explains car brakes to me. Whoosh over my head.
Shower, lunch, checking in on NMSN refugees. A nap sounds good.

Ate breakfast with three friends. Got blood work done. Threw out some crap of bio brats in the attic which is becoming my woman cave, nothing important but every time she scribbled on a piece of paper her dad thought it was a Rembrandt. Watered our new landscaping. Chewed DF a new rear end because the prenup we discussed and agreed upon was NOT the one that got sent to my attorney and I'm tired of his attorney fucking with me. I get that she is protecting him but we AGREED on this and she needs to just put it in legalese. His leg is hurting big time and I had no sympathy because I'm in a bad mood about the prenup and other stuff anyway. But I did give him a Tylenol and cover him up.

Chocolate Cheesecake: I am not even allowed to set them on a chair on time out. I tried that one day because the 3 year old was jumping from chair to chair and just as I told him not to do it again or I'd put him in timeout on a chair, his mother walked in, picked him up gave him a hug and I left. When my son got home, he told me in no uncertain terms that I was never to correct them, put them on time out or anything. I said okay but if they get hurt I am not to blame and I had better not hear anything about it and slammed the door in his face.
Today I slept late, watched the kids from 12:20 until 4:15, came home got dressed and went to work.

Blond Granny - Do you sell your stuff on Etsy or Amazon or anywhere else? I loved your pics of the phone case and would love to get something like that. I'm hopeless when it comes to sewing and DH never has the time except to do mending.

1. Laundry; washed, dried, folded and still in the car. I will bring it in tomorrow after work. 2. Got groceries; all except the cat litter is put away. 3. Ran the sweeper. 4. Mopped the floor. 5. Took all garbage out. 6. Cleaned both litter pans. 7. Did the dishes.
A very productive day, and now I am to watch the baby while they go to the movies.

If I can't expect kids to follow my rules and not destroy my house then they don't get to hang out long term. I don't want them hurt and I know you don't either. Sorry your son has lost his mind on this subject.

Chocolate: it is their house and I don't care if they destroy it or not. I just don't want the kids to get hurt when I am there.
What I did today, 8/11/14: 1. Watched the baby for an hour. 2. Rearranged a couple of tubs in the other room. 3. Took 6 chicken legs off the bone and froze them in individual servings. 4. Filled 4 water bottles. 5. Went to work.

Went to work. Came home, put away the Amazon Subscribe and Save stuff that magically appeared on my doorstep. Did most of the chores I avoided this weekend (laundry, cleaned kitchen & bathrooms). Downloaded a game for the cats to play on my iPad. Thinking of seeking professional help since I've clearly lost control of the household to the fur faces.

No I don't Anne. My Mom sucked me into making a quilted handbag similar to the one I made for her for a lady who saw hers. I caved in and did it, didn't like the way it turned out, so bought more fabric and did it again. In all, I charged $60 for it, and it cost me $60 in materials to make it.
That was it, never again!! I do things for me, if they're not perfect but still work that's OK.

I made 7 of these canvas bags about 4-5 years ago, just as the fight was on about plastic grocery bags. All of them have a different embroidery design and a different saying.
As you can see, I'd much rather spend my time doing things like this rather than boring & pointless things like cooking and cleaning.

3cats: I'm glad they're destroying their own house, but it'd still be a deal breaker for me to not be able to discipline in any way shape or form ANY kid(s) I was babysitting. I'm sure you'd rather see them than not and all, so I'll quit badgering you. I hope it all works out with them.

Overslept as usual, preened, tossed food and water into my backpack, commuted, opened the office, ate two boiled eggs, messaged a friend, checked in here and several other sites, checked in to two Facebook accounts, did my daily posting on my agency page, wished happy birthday to two FB friends, sifted through email, gossiped with a friend who came in, wrote in my food journal, sipped more coffee, processed an endorsement, scheduled an appointment.... Putting off work.........

I got up. I had breakfast. I sent an email off to my wonderful DH. (I do this every morning ... he's deployed) I showered. I got dressed. (This doesn't happen EVERY day, so it's worth a mention) I moved the mail from the kitchen table to the office. (Hey, this is progress!) I opened the mail and threw away the envelopes. I placed the mail in the to-be-filed box on my desk. I brought an Amazon box in from the front porch. (Yay! A new book!) I left the empty box on the kitchen table for the cats. I've checked on the rescue's Facebook page ... deleted some things, posted some things, answered questions, liked a gazillion photos. I answered a bunch of rescue emails. I answered the phone ... the Weed Man is coming tomorrow. Now, more internet playing. (Yes, I'm pacing myself)

Ruthlessly purged old photos. Got rid of doubles of some and a shit ton of my EX's. if he'd wanted to keep family photos he should have taken them but considering how little he thinks of family, it's no surprise. What a good feeling. I kept a few because they were so good of my kids that I couldn't pitch them out but I will consider cutting his face out!!

Woke up almost on time. Preened, ate an apple fritter w/ my coffee , put out the flag, commuted, opened the office, started online banking and bill paying, had 3 customers within an hour bring me nearly $4K , coordinated a phone audit for one of the walk-in clients, checked in Facebook, sifted through email, checked in here, processed receipts, wrote in my food journal, processed ID cards to the DMV for a client, answered several phone calls, finished my coffee.... Hurry up quittin' time!

So far today I curled my hair, did a quick manicure with some new polish (too dark don't like it). Goofed around on the computer, had lunch, complained to Mercedes dealer that what we ordered we were told would be no install charged. I won that one.
DH has appt. at the VA to see one of the specialists at 2 PM. Need to stop @ Hancock Fabrics and buy some batting that is on sale for 40% off. I also printed out my $3.50 eCard from Walmart so I can use it next time we go.
WOW, another day shot and I have little to show for it. I love those kind of days.
