Finish February Fabulous Challenge is done for today. I'm at a minute and 35 seconds on the jump rope. If I can add a few seconds each day I should be at my 2 minute goal by the end of the month. and the bicycle crunches are still evil

Sorry for the stomach bug sarcastic, but glad you're back on track today.
WTG on the jumping rope marion! I love your updates, they are so inspiring! And yes, bicycle crunches suck. Blame sarcastic for those!
FFF Update: So, I mostly managed FFF goals this weekend. I didn't do core challenge last night though, I think that's the only goal I missed all weekend. But my back cramped up and I didn't get there. Yesterday I accidentally only ate 700 calories all day. I figure it out at 7pm when I couldn't figure out why I was so tired and felt so crappy. I ate all my meals yesterday, they were just not very calorific, and we were running around so much that I missed my snacks. Oops. So I finished up the day with a bunch of thin mints.
Today got in the pool, even though I really didn't want to. I did about half of what I normally do, but got in the pool - only because I didn't want to break my FFF goals today! So FFF is already paying off for me. Also, weighed in at 171.8 this morning - a number I haven't seen in more than two years!
Sarcastic - sorted all my clothes yesterday. (Feel so good about getting that pile out of my closet!) When you're back from the Carribean (PS I hate you) you should come over and look and see if there's anything you like - some skirts, couple dresses, couple pairs of jeans.
Also, to whoever, I have a brand-new black size 16 pants suit on offer. It's still got the tags on it - I had to buy it for an interview, ended up wearing the other option and missed the return date. It's not the world's most stylish suit, but for short-time use it would probably work for someone. Let me know if anyone is interested, happy to donate for cost of postage!

Still in 171 range this morning! I could conceivably be in the 160s by the end of the month! (Probably not, but it could happen!)

BSB- CONGRATS!!! You are getting so close to your goal! I'll definitely come out to you once I'm back next month... just don't hate me and my tan (which will likely only be one shade darker than completely pale) Marion- almond milk really is yummy isn't it? I keep trying to get DH to switch, but he's stubborn. I love it though... and I'll drink it by itself, which I won't even do with milk. way to go everyone on your FFF challenge! March Madness Challenge- what is everyone thinking for this? Maybe we each pick 2-3 goals for the month? thoughts? It is the final week of February! I am so glad this month is almost over! I am upping my goal and I'm going to go for 13k steps each day this week!

sarcastic - great news about the measurements! That is great progress!!
marion - congrats on the weight loss! That is amazing! I did have a baby 8 months ago. It's been hard getting used to this new body and tough losing some weight. And hard to find time and energy to exercise! I'll keep on plugging along though!
bsb- way to keep up with FFF!!!

Thanks bsbound! I started posting them because it made me more accountable having it out here for everyone to question me about But, I've kept posting them because I get so much from everyone else's posts. The sharing about what works, what doesn't, good days, bad days, all that is so super helpful to me I thought it was only fair for me to keep sharing too. sarcastic - I was so scared of almond milk to start with. I love the plain in my coffee. But that unsweetened vanilla is so good with cereal. I keep thinking of that commercial with the little almond man saying how great it is and I think, yep, he was right LOL! missk - 8 months ago?! Holy schmoly! And you're disappointed at only losing 3 pounds in 2 months? I didn't realize you like *just* had a baby. You're doing so great! Seriously. You're doing great! I will say, the longer you keep at it, it does get a little easier

I hear you on the "getting used to this new body" thing - my body did not feel like it belonged to me, weight or no, until after I stopped breastfeeding at 16 months. It was surreal. So here's my advice: cut yourself some slack! If you are controlling your diet, you will lose weight, exercise or no. If you don't have the energy to exercise, ok. Just watch what you're eating. Or don't! If you have a splurge day now and then, it's not going to kill you! Remember - little changes add up. Just keep doing what you're doing and plugging away and you will get there - and get back to feeling at home in your own body!

Aww thanks so much guys! You really brought tears to my eyes. I guess I feel like I have no excuses since I quit breastfeeding/pumping about 3 months ago but I need to remind myself how much life has changed in these 8 months. Mainly in good ways but I am definitely more tired than I used to be when I'd wake up at 6am 2-3 times a week to get a workout in before work! Thank you, guys.

missk- I don't have kids... so i don't pretend to know a whole lot about what happens post pregnancy. but in my book... if the baby is alive, and neither you nor DH have killed each other, and you're living life relatively happily at only 8 months out, you deserve a medal!

sarcastic- I have a lot of people question why I do not have children because I do love kids. Versus trying to explain the medical issues and exes, I just tell them:
I like other people's children- I can spoil them and send them back!
I got a solid hour roughly of walking in today when I did my site inspection. The lady was great and I have just finished a thank you note to her.
Still waiting on biopsy results.
I am so ready to get moving again... Been doing little bits, but trying not to overdo it.
My family is worried because we don't have biopsy results yet, but it's like I told them, they took out a lot more tissue this time, so biopsies will take longer.

I don't either. But I have seen people that do. And I have had some friends who have. From the outside looking in, 8 months is crazy timewise. The kid just got here! Based on some of the "stories" my friends have shared about after pregnancy body things...yeah, missk is totally doing great. and she lost 3 lbs in two months ON TOP OF THAT. That's 4 medals - one additional for each pound In the meantime, FFF Challenge is done for today. And guess what? I made the full 2 minutes jumping rope!!!! I don't know what got into me. About 45 seconds in I was really feeling the burn, and I just told myself to keep going to my 1:35 mark. At my 1:35 mark, I just told myself, meh what's a few more seconds of misery at this point. And I just kept on til I finished the 2 minutes! Now, whether or not I can do the full 2 again tomorrow is a hole 'nother story As happy as I am that I have conquered this little hill, it was a real eye opener. You think that something as simple as jumping rope shouldn't be that difficult. And 2 minutes doesn't sound like a lot. But I had to work so hard to get there. I can see the consequences of all those days I spent being so sedentary. I fully realize now what I was doing to myself - not just in terms of weight but in terms of just being able to do stuff without struggling. I am so NOT going back there. Keeping my butt moving is going to be a permanent change!

Well, I managed 1 plank for 60 seconds. Putting them at re end of the workout is totally killer - today's was already heavy on back work, I just couldn't finish!!!

FFF Challenge done! I've had to switch up the order on my crunches/pushups/jump rope too. If I find an order that is *easier* it doesn't take but maybe doing it that way twice in a row before my body catches on and I have to change the order up again. Work has been super freaking busy both last week and for the rest of this week. But I've stuck to my diet and calorie goal and kept up with my fitness and the FFF challenge. And, I get a 4 day weekend so once I make it through Friday, I get an easy few days

Didn't want to piggyback on my yay for Mizbear's good news post with an update, so here's my update. Still only 1 day at the gym this month, but running around a lot and down .5 to 132. My insurance co sent me a free pedometer and I counted about 8700 steps yesterday, but that started after I'd been up for a while. I put it on first thing today so we'll see how things go.
Can't believe my new job starts in less than a week!

I took a rest day yesterday. I am BURNT OUT. I ended up working late... Got home just before 8pm with zero energy. Since I was chained to my chair at work, I couldn't get in many extra steps. By the time I got home, I only had 6k and the thought of doing another 6k brought tears to my eyes. So, I didn't. I also ate who knows how many calories, I didn't count. Fun fact- I was down a pound on the scale this AM Sent from my Nexus 4 using proboards

I went for a walk in the snow today LOL. I think I needed to cool off after seeing Mr. Bear in a suit and tie!
I walked for 22+ minutes.

Not doing so great on the 5-2 diet thing. I've found that I really can't stick to it with the madness that is working full time, taking care of a toddler and a 3 month old, trying to train for a half marathon, play hockey one night a week, and squeeze in some skiing on an occasional Saturday. Superwoman is NOT my name. However, I have cut way back on the sugar, and even though I'm not catholic I have given up diet soda from now until the end of Lent (since I know it hasn't officially started yet).
Oh well, I'm staying off the scale for a while since I'm doing great with my training program and the scale hasn't moved for 2 weeks. My clothes are fitting better, so that's good.
Everyone is doing GREAT! Feels good to see the success on here. Mizbear: Congrats on no cancer!!!! Great news!
