I'm done. It was fast. Leg hurts more than hand (leg - smaller / biopsy, hand - 'invasive' scc / deep 3" long excision). Kept after me to repeat fecal test and mentioned high fasting glucose. Yeah .... gotta have me confused with someone else but now I'm just going to drive home

Had a blood test last week and saw my oncologist today. My white blood count is low so I need another test done in 3 months to see a trend. Could be a fluctuation or could be return of cancer ........... or anything in between. If you pray, I could use some

It is slightly over a year that my wife had breast surgery to remove a tumor plus several lymph nodes in the armpit. We finished chemo in December, radiation in mid January. Doctors gave her a clean bill of health at that time. We just had a mammogram yesterday and go back to the surgical doctor next week for the results, but tech said everything looked good. She has tons of hot flashes from the hormone blocker, but her hair is coming in nicely, and she seems stronger every week.

(((((((( VB ))))))))))) that is wonderful news
Just feeling stronger each week is a huge plus. I found ice water helps with the hot flashes but I don't know if she can deal with the cold yet.
Since my treatments my whole digestive system changed and there are certain foods I can't/won't eat
It's a slow and steady process ......... mega hugs to both of you

Really cold ice cream gives her a flash down her back. Her appetite is good and eats items she ate pre-surgery, and digestive system seems good. She drinks ice water, but not in large quantities, but it is not due to hot flashes. I will mention it to try it. TY!

Just Remember: One Step At A Time, Getting Closer To Being Back To Your Own Real Self!
My colon cancer started May 2004 when my haemoglobin just dropped. In May 2005 I had a routine ultrasound that found the colon cancer. I had my surgery in October 2005 and I'm cancer free ever since.
This May is now 12 years since my colon cancer was detected. I get a colonoscopy every 1 to 3 years now.

My Aunts cancer has spread to her bones. She's getting a port and chemo again. Something referred to as the red devil. It helped the last time by shrinking the tumor to where they could operate.

My wife received it. She was scared to take it after reading up on it on internet cancer searches. Surprisingly, she had a fairly easy time with it. Nurses always gave her a popsicle (ice chips were the other option) while it was injected. Hopefully your aunt will be able to take it without too much difficulty.

She got her port this morning in preparation for it. Fortunately she has no side effects.
