Dad still hanging in there. Not sure if it's the cancer or the meds but he twitches a lot now. Sleeping most of the time and really not familiar with his surroundings. Doesn't know what day it is most of the time. He had a good day last week and walked around and stayed awake for about 30 mins in the living room. It's really hard to watch him fade way.

I understand, jeep. Watching someone you love slowly fade away is one of the most difficult things any of us have to face. All we can do is love them and try as best we can to let them know we love them. Over the years I've come to know our messages of love do get through, even if the loved one is unable to show it or acknowledge. Hang in there, hon. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Yeah real love can be felt very deep. It goes into the spiritual realm.
Jeep and sesfw, hugs to both of you. I'm thinking of you both.
My antibiotic treatment for Lady Windermere's Syndrome is going fabulous, the doctors are amazed I can tolerate everything so dang good. I do the cat-scan on Nov. 5th to see if there is any shrinking. If there is then we decide if I do more antibiotic treatment. If there's no change then it's back to the lung surgeon.

My appointment with the heart Dr said the electro cardio-gram came back good. One valve leaks a little bit when closed but not enough to worry about.
The chemo Dr office called and said my CT scan came back negative. I still have an appointment with him Monday and will go over every thing very carefully. Then find out what the next steps are.
It is OK if I have some happy dances?
Sleep will come easier tonight.
Giving all of you my thanks and mega-hugs for holding me up. sesfw, that's wonderful! I'm so happy for you, if I had a tail, I'd wag it! Yippee!

It's official ............. The c-cells have been killed and flushed down the sewer, never to return to me or any one else in any shape or form.
I managed to get 6 hours un-interrupted sleep last night. While I tried my best to keep this from being my focus 24/7, it was always in the back of my mind. Planning on the things I would give away and to whom, wondering how I could help DH with his moving and getting situated where ever he wanted to be.
Strange the things I thought about when facing the possibility of death right now. But fear wasn't/isn't one of them. Just practical things. LOL

After choir practice last night a group of us went to the local frozen yogurt shop to celebrate. I still have to be careful what and how much I eat or my intestines object. Not fun.
Thank you for all your good wishes. This isn't something I would wish on anyone.
Think tomorrow I'll buy some regular yogurt. Don't know if the fruit and yogurt has all the good stuff. Does anyone know?

The fruit and yogurt would be good, if you can tolerate it, sesfw. Get some and try a little to see how it "settles". The value of the yogurt is still there.

Dad's blood pressure is bottoming out. He fell walking last night... He is no longer walking with out a walker. I brought over a portable potty so he doesn't have to go far.
My neighbor knock at my garage door this weekend, Dad was the only other person that entered my house that way. At first I thought it was dad. I had remind myself that he is sick and will never becoming over to my house again.. It kind of hit me hard.

I feel your pain, jeep. Mother took a fall last week that ended her in the hospital (the fall, and a sinus infection just laid her low). Just got her into the nursing home, where she's been transferred for rehab (as much rehab as can be done for a 92-year-old who's crippled and blind). Hopefully, she can get her strength back so she can come home. Still, each bout of adversity is a set-back and there's never complete return at an advanced age. Hang in there, sweetie. About all we really have to give is our love.

Thanks, Sugi. She's doing much better, really. She just doesn't like being in the nursing home, but she needs the rehab so she's going to have to cope!

So do I, Sugi. The rehab at this particular nursing home is excellent, so I know they'll work with her to build her strength. She just gets a little pouty when she can't come home. While I understand, it's just too risky!

Thanks, jeep. So do I! I really hope your dad isn't feeling too badly. Low blood pressure can really make one pretty miserable ... light headed and weak. Hopefully, he'll manage better if he doesn't have to go as far to meet his daily needs. Sounds like he'll be needing a lot more help before too long.

Today is extremely sad as another friend has died from cancer and the memorial service is today.
I have another friend who is going through treatment.
I am grateful for my good health.
