I've gotten a few in email since then. And I may have even gotten a couple of $10/50 in there somewhere (although not recently) but never used them. I was really hoping to get out of CVS during the cash card deals and get back in later with a new card, but that kind of failed...

I was really hoping to get out of CVS during the cash card deals and get back in later with a new card, but that kind of failed... I turned my EBs into (7) $10 cash cards and got the heck out. Not only have the deals dried up due to no $/$$, but I wasn't having any fun shopping there anymore. I had $10/$50s and EBs, but my store was constantly lacking stock so I was having to stay up almost every Saturday night so that I could go at midnight to make sure I'd get the deals that I wanted. I wouldn't have minded if it had been an occasional thing, but it started to be necessary quite regularly. What is really strange is that I decided to get out at the exact same time that CVS decided to cut me off. So I guess our "break up" was a mutual thing.

One of the bloggers that I read noted a recall on Belvita Breakfast Biscuit Apple Cinnamon and Chocolate Varieties in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. If you have any in your stockpile (I have one of these products), it may be worth your while to check. You can google Mondelez Global LLC Belvita recall for the details. They tell you to "throw the product away." Of course that isn't good enough...Contact them! Thanks, Dogmom public service notice done. (can you tell I hate the "Throw it away"?) Really? Waste a coupon and any OOP? Rant over. Thanks for being safe and listening.

Poise MM at Rite Aid starting tomorrow. Select products, 2.99 with 2.99 Up, limit 2. There is a $3/1 MC from 2/10 SS, or $1/1 IP on coupons.com. I already used my 1 $3 MC for overage at CVS last week, but no biggie. I'll settle for the $2 MM.
Robitussin could be free with $3 in ad Q, $1/1 IP and wellness discount.

ANOTHER SINUS PRODUCT DEAL AT WAGs: ALKA SELTZER SINUS ON 3/3
This deal requires less in OOP. I got the details on WUC.
March monthly sale: Alka-Seltzer or Aleve products / Buy 2 get 4,000 points On 3/3 Alka-Seltzer Cough, Cold, Allergy, or Sinus (20-24 ct) will be $2.99 with an in-ad coupon (prices may vary depending on location).
Use a $2/1 (1/27 SS exp 3/31).
Buy (2), pay $1.98 + tax OOP (after IVC and $2/1) and get 4,000 points.
EDIT: THIS DEAL WILL NOT PAN OUT AS POSTED FOR ME. AT MY WAGs THE PRODUCT WAS $7.49 - $2.00 IVC - $2/1 MC = $3.49 ea. QUITE A BIG DIFFERENCE.

I think their policy is to adjust it down, but I haven't looked at their policy in a long time, nor can I even remember the last time I used a coupon there that was more than the price of the item. It might go through if you have additional items to cover the overage, but I think their official policy is "no overage".

It will tell you that you need 0.01 to use the Q (at least it did when I tried to use a RA Q that was 1c less than the product a couple weeks ago). If you scan your card at the end after Qs are scanned and have items to cover overage, it will work fine.

There was a $5 RA insert q and I had a $1 Keri IP. They would not adjust the q down so I didn't buy anything. Fast forward to a month ago when they ran the same promo. This time I also bought another item giving UPs and both the $5 RA q and $1 Keri IP went through just fine. This may be a YMMV but mine will not adjust down. Oh well.. | |

One of my local bloggers reported on thur that the Green Bag Tag is going to be discontinued. However she gave no final date and I do not see it on a full cup. Anyone see on Hot coupon world or we use coupons. i will talk to my fav mgr when I get there (prob Sun-NOT going anywhere with the snow storm today). Oh no!!! Not only does it discourage me from taking extra bags but that's a great source of a random surprise EB! I use it every time but don't pay attention to when the next one is coming. I'm always glad to see it when I do. Well, I shouldn't be surprised that they're cutting back on rewards. If you think of it as $0.25 per bag then they pay more than anyone else to re-use your own bags. It's $0.05 everywhere else around here, in the few places that offer it.

Did I just lose my post?
Doh! I did lose it. Here it is in a nutshell.
Are your lettuce and other winter veggie prices up?
I'm getting tons of Swagbucks this week. I'll recap later. Don't feel like retyping the whole thing.

Thanks for the tip Could be a good way to break back in to RA...I haven't been in a store since before Christmas. I have 1.50/1 peelies for skintimate/shick shave gel, so I think that might be a good deal with $2 in-ad coupon and wellness discount.

Doh! My ridiculous Swagbucks run has come to an end for now. I got an e-mail on Friday on SB that had a bunch of videos to watch for 2 points each, which is a lot these days. Mine just let me keep going and playing them again and again. I got hundreds of points. But then, after I had been so careful because I knew this might happen, DH accidentally knocked the plug out of my "new" computer that has no battery and basically logged me off. When I got back on the offer had expired. I think it was a fluke, but man, was it a good run! I got a similar one earlier this week and was able to get 70 points. Keep an eye out for one called Unlock and Earn. (If anyone new wants to try SB I'll send you a link.) I had some points before but now I have enough for two $10 CVS GCs. Woo too!

Does anyone have an extra $5/2 Neutrogena Hair, Hand, Body or Men's Product, exp. 4/27/13 (SS 02/24/13)? It is the only lotion I use and would love to grab one this week.

I only got 1 in my three inserts, but if you want it it is yours. PM me your addie and I will get it out to you. Maybe I am in a funk but I can't seem to get excited about most of the sales. Other than the free stayfree a few weeks ago I don't see much at all. I got some decent deals last week at Shoprite but not near as good as last years Dollar Days deals. I still read here but I don't post much because I don't have anything about coupons to post most of the time.

I don't think you're in a funk; I think the sales simply are not as exciting as they used to be. And when I DO find a deal, I have to decide whether the cost of gas to get to the store (especially if it is across town) wipes out most of the savings. Since I'm out of CVS, I'm content to get something here or there to add to my pantry stockpile. Last week it was cheap SPAM and free ketchup; this week it was cheap cereal and some Bear Creek pasta sides. That's just enough to keep me interested, but it certainly isn't "exciting". I'm just going to keep plugging along and take it as it comes.

I did the unthinkable...paid OOP of 22.88 at CVS..(gasp) I wanted to buy the Crest Whitening Strips and didn't want to use up the rest of my GCs. Crest Whitening Strips, 20 count $48.99 (on sale $5 off) -$10 CRT - $7 MC - $1 EB Tax $3.92 Total $34.91 -$2.03 GC -$10 GC(V-8, Palmolive B$30) Total OOP = $22.88 (oy....this is not how it usually goes) To ease the pain, there's a Crest Whitening Strip Rebate for a $10 Visa GC that I'll submit also

Here's a link to an interesting article (I hope ), that links the increase of coupon usage as an indicator of recession or a bad economy. www.cnbc.com/id/100485313I think there are a lot of other factors that the author doesn't consider: greater access to information via the internet about coupons and usage, TV shows (news oriented or otherwise that promote coupon usage), and relatively recent retailer incentives that make getting non-perishables for free possible. Anyway, I thought you guys might want to give it a read.

I actually went to WAGS today. First time in months, but I had a dr appt right by and saw melatonin was FARR this week and I am getting low. Also had $1 MC for Colgate making it .50 MM, wooppie. And I still don't understand the whole points thing...I turned around and spent my $3 RR IMMEDIATELY on paper plates, 2/$3 since I was almost out but now I have a stupid $4 RR to roll or spend.

Anyway, I thought you guys might want to give it a read. I think the increasing role of the internet in couponing is a big factor. We seem to be seeing more and more companies offer printable coupons over insert coupons. It's not uncommon now to open a coupon insert and instead of seeing a coupon, see an ad that directs you to a company's website to print an offer. P&G recently started offering IPs for their products when they haven't in the past. It's common now to see companies offer IPs through facebook or other social media, which I think was pretty much unheard of in 2007. It's easier and cheaper for companies to distribute coupons over the internet, plus they don't have to depend on a declining resource like newspapers. Not to say there may not be continued economic concerns, but coupons.com may need to bump their index up to a new range regardless.

Isn't it interesting at how some of us on the Grocery Challenge are now viewing these rewards as a nuisance? It was great to get them in the old days when the deals were plentiful and you had your choice of several different MMs to roll them into, but since that is no longer the case, getting the most bang for your buck out of them is becoming or has become a PITA. If I was just starting to build a stockpile, I suppose I would be thrilled to get one; but that is no longer the case. I didn't do the Poise deal at Rite Aid because it would have required (2) trips to the store (one to get the product and the UPs and one to spend the UPs). After my time, effort, and now especially the cost of gas, going that for ONE freebie doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Now, I might feel differently if I could get the UPs and spend them right away or if there were (3-4) similar deals that I could do at the same time and for products that I really need, but because of the stockpiles that I have built, that is no longer the case. It makes me kind of sad; but it is what it is, and I knew that "the gravy train" wouldn't last forever.

Didn't do the one last week that WAS for something I wanted even more than this because it had a $5 added purchase requirement. the first few days of these offers were pretty good BUT nothing interesting for at least 10-14 days now and I have a CVS 1/2 block away.

Hmm, so I did get a $5/20 with my RR at wags yesterday, only good through today. I'm feeling like I should use it since there were several FARR items this week. (not much I use, other than the Melatonin) but if they have stock, it would probably make sense to use it. If I can get there...today's my last day of work til next Tuesday and I'm pretty busy.
