You use Tapatalk at least part of the time, right? I notice that tapatalk will ask if I want to add such and such to my feed after I've posted. I make sure to tell it no.
Only thing I can suggest is to go to your bookmarks on a PC (or use desktop version of a mobile browser) and make sure you remove any bookmarks that may have ended up there inadvertently.

yes, part of the time. and I always say no. I am not always asked if I want to add stuff to my feed, though.

I somerimes use my tablet when viewing these boards. Other times, my PC. When I use the tablet and open a thread, and then a link which was posted either in the OP or reply, it opens as a mobile version of the article. I prefer to view the views offered by desktop version.
So the article opens and it is the mobile version display of the article. But when I go and change the view to desk top version, the article disappears and what takes its place is the open Proboards thread where the linked article resides. So now I have the same Proboards thread on two open tabs. Any idea why that would happen?
This has happened multiple times before with different articles. It's not a big deal to just leave the article in the mobile version, but desk top is just my preferred version. I do not have this problem outside of Proboards that I know of.
Any idea?

When I initially saw this in my notifications, I thought it was a thread about bug (as in spiders)! It took me a second. The same thing happens to me when I use my tablet.

Tennesseer, I believe that's a browser characteristic more than anything. Try googling something along the lines of 'force mobile browser to use desktop version' and see if you find anything that helps. There are results, but I haven't tried any of them yet.

I’m on iPad now and I get this site in same format as on my desktop. I have site icon saved on favorites page. Lazy so I stay logged in. I’m still on IE 11 on desktop. Would things be different between different tablets? Techno challenged so just curious. No experience other than iPads. Now if I can just figure out how to get fb in desktop mode I would be happy. It’s in desktop mode on iPad mini. Sorry I got sidetracked

Thanks moon, much appreciated-I googled 'force mobile browser to use desktop version". What it suggests to do I already do. The last part of the article said this: "The only drawback to using the default browser on Android is that there isn’t a way to permanently enable desktop view. If you decide that, by default, you’d like to view every website in desktop view, you’ll need a third party app." As my tablet is Android I would need some type of third party app. Not a big deal going back and forth with mobile/desktop version. I was just curious why it was happening.

Gotcha. I prefer desktop too but just take the same manual steps you probably do.
