Tenn, if an ad redirects the that's still not allowed so I'd still go ahead and report when it happens.

This is a re-post, to put it where it belongs. I believe I have an answer to it (Chrome issue). If you have additional info, I'm interested.
Thanks!

Not a bug, but why am I getting a message from Proboards stating "Checking your browser...." everytime I sign into Proboards? The message pops up first and then (as it states in the message) about 5 seconds later it takes me to our home page. This has been happening over the past three or four days.

Tenn, they've been having problems with slow/non loading forums quite a bit lately. It's very possible that the message is related to that in some way. I've gotten it on occasion myself.

Thanks, Moon. As I said, it's not stopping me from posting or signing in. I was just curious what it was all about.

No problem here but I am on PC so can't comment as to iPad. Things sometimes go wonky on PC and ok on tablet and vice versa.

I just checked Support and don't see anything from anyone else about a similar problem. Does the same thing happen if you go Incognito? Have you cleared your caches and cookies?

Cache and cookies are cleared out nightly. I just checked Incognito and it works fine there. I may just clean out YMAM out of both my desk top computer and tablet and reload it back in.

You might also check your browser ad-ons. Sometimes, those will interfere. If things work in Incognito mode, that's often the problem.

Sign in page looked normal but when it went to the opening page it was still a mess. Hit enter again and I got the Bear page. Just now I hit refresh and it is now back to its normal self. I did nothing to clear it out. It did it on its own.

Not an answer but I got something similar on another web page last week. Figured it was browser problem. Cleared out my cache and it cleared up. But again not on YMAM. It was Target dot com.
eta. Oops didn't see your post about already cleared cache My bad.

You've done all the usual trouble-shooting exercises. I'm sure you've re-booted one, or both machines. If it keeps happening, you might go to link and ask the ProBoards Admins if they have any ideas.

typically stuff appears like that when the page is verrryyy slowww to load. that's been my experience, both here and elsewhere.
here's a new one, this has been going on for a few days now. I typically navigate via the "participated" button, and when I click on a thread in the pop-up, I am brought to the newest unread post in that thread. lately, it brings me to the last page, irrespective of the newest unread thread. this also happens with my notifications screen. if someone quotes me, I'm brought to the page and have to go find it.
anyone else seeing this? I feel like it's happened before, and I can't recall the reason or the fix. it's via Chrome and the full website.

Are all of you using Chrome? I understand there's been a recent Chrome update that's causing some problems. ProBoards' system folks are working on a fix that will come out with the next code push.

I'm using Chrome. I guess it did an automatic update.

I'm using Chrome. I guess it did an automatic update. If it's set to update automatically it will do so. There are usually a number of changes made in any given update so to recall an update over a minor problem like this isn't, IMO, a good idea. The systems gurus at ProBoards will get this fixed as soon as they can and will release it with other fixes when next they push code.
