ProBoards knows all this and they got a team working on it, I just spoke with a ProBoards Admin.

There's still some residual effects that you can't click on certain threads without getting Error Code 410, but it's being worked on I can assure you all that much!

Just for shits and giggles, there's a new Error Code to watch out for Error Code 420. I got this a lot on ProBoards Support, so I just signed out. And I seen on ProBoards Support that a fix came in for this already. What a damn day I've had, and just for the record I lost my internet connection too.

The angry bear has reared it's head on this end since early this morning. It is intermittent on some threads, participated links, and so on. Just thought I would say something although I am sure everyone is aware of it.

Sometimes, it's due to a recalcitrant server that only affects those who are coming through that server. I'll check on Support to see if there have been any other reports of problems.

It was only when I kept trying to get the FB something thread open. I begin to think FB was in on it. But then it started in other places. I like that word recalcitrant. Off to google for my learn something new today but I think I already know.

There were a couple of other people who were having problems, too. The Support admins will be in around noon Eastern and will, hopefully, be able to fix the problem.

I've gotten an answer on Support, NoNamePerson. They were having some problems earlier but they should be cleared up by now. If you're still having problems, try clearing your caches and cookies to see if that will stop the bears. If it doesn't, let us know.

... It was only when I kept trying to get the FB something thread open. I begin to think FB was in on it. ... For me it was the abstinence only thread. I though it might have something to do with no sexual content allowed on Proboards.

There is now a thread on the Support board letting us know there are issues that are causing intermittent problems with various functions on ProBoards. Some are experiencing them and some aren't. They're working on the problem now. I'll try to keep updated and share it here.

Looks like all the issues on ProBoards' end have been dealt with. If anyone continues to have difficulty, let us know and we'll follow through with ProBoards.

Several of the smilies in the list to the right are just showing as a box with a little white square in the middle. Shocked, Huh, laugh and cry are some examples. I am on a desktop using firefox if that makes any difference.

I am on a desktop using firefox if that makes any difference. Changes made to the rules of the site (Photobucket) from which those smilies are sourced have caused this problem. The smilies that aren't working now are being replaced but it's going to take some time. Sorry for any problems this might cause in the meantime.

I can't reach YMAM if I use https this morning. I get an angry bear every time. I have no issues if I use regular http. My bookmark is https, so it usually works that way. Same thing applies to the support board - I figured out regular http works when I clicked the link on the angry bear, but adding the s breaks it.
I have other tabs open using https, so I don't think it's on my end.

The only thing that is https is the login page. None of the rest is meant to be which may be why http works.

Bookmark is changed. Easy fix. I wonder why I never had a problem before. Someone on the Support board had a similar problem recently. They were using IE8 and AVG anti-virus. Seems they had to make adjustments to the online shield in AVG to stop the problem. If you're using AVG anti-virus, that could be the issue.

My FIL recently had that issue on AVG too, but it was affecting all https websites. I am having the trouble on my work computer, where I don't have any permissions to fix anything anyway.

This is a tablet problem. I have not noticed it on my PC. Anyone else having supposed Facebook scam ads popping up when they are on Proboards? I can be on a page on this board when an ad/contest changes the page for supposedly Facebook asks me to click yes or no to win between $1, 000 and $3, 000 depending upon which 'Facebook' add it is. The URL has nothing to do with Facebook. Here is the link below which changes the page for this particular message from 'Facebook'. This is the message it shows for the link below. Congratulations, you could be selected to receive a reward!Monday, July 24, 2017 | We select lucky user at random and our sponsor will offer a reward to the lucky user.It could be you to receive the reward worth up to $3,000! Answer the next 3 questions correctly.Note: This wonderful opportunity could end at any time, so hurry!DO NOT CLICK ON THIS LINKfarelam.online/newip7u/index.php?s1=g2mobi_US&pubid=a&bid=535304e6c905f1dd0f27ca13a0314259This does not pop up on any other website I visit. I have not clicked in the contest link. The supposed contest page only shows up on this Proboard site. I have used Malwarebytes app to find a virus but my tablet comes up clean. Tablet is cleaned of cookies/cache/internet history once or twice a day.

Someone else reported the same issue on the support forum. Response was that it could be browser related so to clear cache/cookies (which you are doing already).
The other suggestion was to report the ad. There's a link to that tool in the menu bar now, on the right side. "If you immediately go to that page, it should list all the ads which have shown to you on the forum(s) you visit. There are three on a page, so report the most recent three, and they will be investigated."

The 'ad' is not a banner on the top of the Proboard's page. Th 'ad' completely changes the page to its own page. So I am unable to report the 'ad' to the support forum or whoever takes care of the Report Ad function. Once the 'ad' is there, I am no longer on Proboards. That is how I got the URL address in the first place even though I never clicked on the ad to open it up. I just copied/pasted the URL address from the ad page into my first post here earlier today. I will continue to monitor what happens on my tablet and report back if I see anything unusual.
