GRG-can you not set up your computer zoom to say 110% or 125%% for larger viewing? you might have to scroll let to right but it would increase the font 'size'.

I too though would appreciate a sligtly larger font viewing size without having to increase my zoom view. My eyes aren't getting any younger.

GRG, does the page selector you see at the top, just above the posts, not scroll down the page with you on safari? it's supposed to. that's why there isn't one at the bottom, too.

as far as font size, if you google "adjust font size in safari", you should find some directions on it.

otherwise (if you're on Windows), you could try pressing Ctrl+ the + sign (or - if you get it too big) to adjust temporarily. Ctrl+ using your mouse scroll wheel up/down does the same thing. Not sure what alternatives there are if you're on an Apple, sorry.
Oh, and dem, if you type in quick reply, then accidentally hit reply instead of create message, it is *supposed* to copy whatever you had typed into the full reply. it does for me. give it a try and see if it works for you, too.
** editing to add that it worked when i preemptively copied my post (just in case i lost it) but it didn't work when i wrote it and went right to REPLY w/o copying first. THAT is a bug. but, maybe related to the other quick reply issue so i'll wait to see.

testing quick reply button.
Didn't work. I got the fraudulent message box.
I'm on FF 18.0 at work.
*-*-*- When I use the Quick Reply, I type in the box and click on the Post Quick Reply button in the lower left corner of the field. I do not have a Create Post button in Quick Reply.
If I click on Reply, I go to a new page and the last couple of times, it's showing my Quick Reply followed by code that doesn't mean anything to me. In Reply, I have a Create Post button in the lower right.

There is some confusion with the "Quick Reply" There are two choices. One can simply type in the quick reply box OR one can click on the "Reply" tab at the top right, which allows more sophisticated options for the task bars above. Either way, when one wishes to transmit the message, the tab to hit is the Create Message at the bottom right. If you are in the "Quick Reply" mode and you hit the "reply" tab it deletes your message and puts you in the Reply box- which looks very similar to the one you were just in. You need to use the "Create Message" tab. ETA- The language I used may be a bit off. It may say "Post Message", but it will be at the bottom, not the top right. Sorry for the confusion. Dem, I don't think there's confusion in that sense. The Quick Reply button worked yesterday, with at least some of the "sophisticated" taskbar stuff included (like emoticons). It does not work for many of us today. You get a Fraudulent message. We're confused because it does not seem to work today, period. But the likely reason is because there were other aspects of the board updated that affected it.

Now I'm down to the crappy little stand/basic emoticons. Boring. Anyway, I'm sure this will get worked out. Hopefully sooner than later.

I tried doing the "compatibility view" fix for IE on my work computer. Nothing changed. So, guess I'm SOL at work...

My special default BBCode for font appears in the (BBCode)reply boxbut doesn't in the(BBCode)Quick Reply box.
It makes sense to have it work that way and I have no problem with it. I only mention it because it appeared in both yesterday.

I'm having some of the same problems, but in particular; Yesterday I had access to all the smilies. Today, none. No "gear" button on the post boxes, only the "quote" and thumbs up buttons. Some pics blocked. "Visual" and "BBCode" buttons don't work in reply box. No task bar or options in the reply page. This is on my work computer, which uses IE7 and has some types of fllters. I know either or both of those could have something to do with my issues here. I haven't been on my home computer since the change, so I don't know if I have problems there. I didn't want to say anything since we just made the change and I knew bugs have to be worked out. However, when I saw this bug thread, I thought I should let you know. I know these things take time, so I can be patient. Being a computer dope, I appreciate any and all help. Thanks. (would have inserted smiley here, but read above comment.)

Moon,
No, the page number box does NOT slide down the page in Safari.
But, now that you ask, it never did on the old version either (if it was supposed to). (Embarrassed) I just thought everyone had to scroll back up to the top to change pages. (shoulder shrug)

Oh, wait a minute! (Further embarrassment, LOL). NOW I see it. The page number box doesn't scroll down -- it hovers as a layer over my page, if that makes sense. Thanks, Moon!!

FYI:

For those who want a more familiar page to read from, Edit your Theme in the Settings menu (under Edit Profile) to "Old Board--Adjusted". Very similar to the old board.

Now I am going to try Quick Reply using the Old Board Adjusted setting because, in this theme, because all of the format menus are here (they weren't under the new default theme setting).
Nope. Quick Reply still doesn't work, but I am finding Old Board Adjusted to be easier to read for these nearsighted eyes with strong distance contact lenses and drug-store reading glasses...

Moon; thanks for your reply. I know things are a little nutty here right now, but I also know you, Virgil, and everyone are doing your best and I appreciate the efforts. We got through the Mayan end of the world in December; we'll get through this too.

Using Firefox 17.0.1 If I type a response using the Quick Reply box, I get the possible forgery message. It's not a huge deal because (kind of obviously) using the actual Reply button and typing my message on that screen is working fine.

There's a spider infestation in my basement. Is there any way to get rid of them? This is a bug report thread, right? ...hardy, har, har... the mods are busy enough, beags... ...as for my "bug" to report... anybody know if the pages will load quicker once all the kinks are worked out? I've got a slow computer anyway, but it's been timing out quite a bit for me... so it isn't a complaint, per se, since I can be patient... but I am curious...

I lose the board often when navigating from one page to another and get the IE can't display this page message. It takes forever to go from one page to another, the new button doesn't take me to new posts since I last read the thread and the quick reply doesn't work. Moon you may have finally succeeded in getting rid of me.

the broken quick reply issue has been reported about 10 times on this thread alone, later, if you would have read previous posts. you would also know that patrick said the developers would work on it today. and if i were 'trying to get rid of you' i'd just ban you.

bsbound-regarding this erased: duplicate post. If you look to the far right of your erased post you will see a cog wheel. Use the drop down by clicking on the cog wheel and you will see an option to completely delete your post. It removes all traces (visually) of the post.

They have some kind of time-sensitive validation hash. Hence, what was working perfectly when I left it this morning at some point stopped working.
