Oldtex, that's been covered several times. If you'll take a look at the Upgrade Status thread, you'll see where it stands in the list of priorities.

I noticed there's no active date/time (clock) anymore at the top of the page. Also, if you click "Calendar" there's no longer any Birthdays listed for each date.

Dem I get an image not available for your avatar. Is Sugilite a mod? No, but at least she's trying to be helpful where possible, instead of picking apart every-little-thing.

I've brought all my browsers onboard, paul. It might be specific settings in Chrome, because it's working fine for me. What problems are you having with it?

Dem I get an image not available for your avatar. Is Sugilite a mod? It's easy to tell if someone is part of staff here. Just look at the avatar area on one of their posts, or at their profile. If they're staff, it will be quite easily ascertained.

since I don't see it in the list here or the one that Virgil is updating, I'll post again. not a huge issue, and it may not really bother anyone else. I'm a keyboard shortcut person, and it's driving me nuts. Firefox v18.0 on both WinXP(SP2) and Win7 I can not navigate through the site (forward/backward, etc) using keyboard shortcuts (ALT+arrows) or using the actual keyboard arrows that are intended for the same. I've sanity checked myself that other sites are working in Firefox in both OS. I have yet to try this site in IE, I'm not sure if I ever even logged in on that browser before. could someone using IE try this out and post back? thanks!

Where do I start? The board was a mess in IE at work today. I'll try the tips to get rid of the whit screen and blue links...
In safari, there is no page turn at the bottom of the page. You have to go all the way back to the top of the thread to turn the page. Big PITA.
In safari, I have not been able to quote and reply, only use quick reply. If I quote, I get the typing box, but can not type anything in it.
The proboards app is still a mess. Haven't heard what, if anything, is being done there. No avatars are showing. There is no text other than the thread title, so, you have to open it to see if it's anything you are interested in or not.
I guess the message indictor issue is being worked on?

Safari is the one browser I don't have, constanz, so I can't check that one out for you. I've got to finish and serve dinner, so I'll be out of pocket for a bit. Hopefully, someone who uses Safari will have some help for you.

OS: Mac OS X Browser: Firefox
The message count is showing 1 unread while I've gone through all 40 some messages so I know they've been read. Might be a small bug in the transfer to the new version.

here's a new one - I just clicked "new topics" from the notification screen, and it didn't do anything at all. ETA: it doesn't seem to work from in-thread either.....? I clicked on the board title to navigate to the home page and tried the "new topics" button again, and it worked. thanks, moon and Virgil

When I make a post and then hit "new topics" it just takes me to the first page/post of the thread. If I hit home and then new topics it works as intended. I am on FireFox version 18 and Windows 7.

How do I find spell check? I also had to open a duplicate account and used the same password.

sesfw, you may have thought you opened a duplicate account, but you didn't. You have the same account you've always had. There is no spell check in V5. Most current browser versions have their own, so it's redundant and wasn't implemented. If you'll check the V5 Updates thread, Virgil has a list of what's being worked on, its level of priority, and where it stands. I think spell check is one of those listed.

When I hit the New Topics button when I am in a thread it doesn't work. I end up on the same page I was on.

Or I would, if the admin interface wasn't angry bearing.
I'm giving up for now and coming back in an hour or two.

The reason the link isn't working is the URL needs a "/" at the front of it. Right now it's linking to "threads/recent" instead of "/threads/recent" Once we get the admin area working for you this should be a very quick fix in your settings area.

I'm still having to use the Ctrl+Shift+P to get the sign-in window to appear (and work) if I exit the site 99.9% of the time.
