So the chain of events, as far as I can tell, went something like this. Dude A goes out and does something monumentally stupid. His wife goes to your mother in law and is like, "Can you believe this fucking idiot?!?!" Your MIL calls your wife and is like, "Can you believe this fucking idiot?!?!" Your wife comes to you and is like, "Can you believe this fucking idiot?!?!" At this point in the chain you decide to stand up for the guy? Are you completely crazy? Women feed off each other dude. Each person in the chain was actually more pissed off than the one before. That's how it works. By the time it got to you in your wife's head this guy has just done something worse than banging his wife's sister in the bed they share, and then you jump in and defend him. *head shake* Enjoy the couch rookie. He will learn, or get broken, whatever you want to call it. We all do.

That's fine, I'm just saying you should be cognizant of the fact that your feeling is based on just a couple of data points that you're getting like fourth hand from a biased source. True. But if what we know is mostly true he doesn't sound likely to be a sterling human being. If he did try to set up coverage but his wife wouldn't let him it would make it less bad or perhaps understandable for some. Since we don't get direct info I choose to take it mostly as is because if I am wrong it really won't affect anything. If a poster is speaking about their situation I care more about accuracy. Since my eyes glaze over at Carl's wife's cousin's husband versus whatever the other one is: Carl's cousin's husband? I think he's safe from my judgment affecting him. Kind of like when I and others opine on public figures or people in news stories. I'm ridiculously fair in RL because I prefer to judge you on what I observe not what I've been told. Being this is a message board I go with the story if I can't quiz or verify it. HTH

Sure, and he can also face the consequences for doing so. Like having a mad wife, or getting divorced, or having to get a job to support himself once his wife finally wises up and dumps (what by all accounts appears to be) his dead weight. I made no indication that there wouldn't be consequences. I said it is his life to live as he wishes. It doesn't matter one way or the other what anyone else really thinks other than his wife.
