If he signed Lilly Ledbetter, why is there still pay disparity? ![](http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/smileys/1-1.gif) You apparently don't know what the Lily Ledbetter act was, do you?

I'm not sure arguing that President Obama won the debate tonight because he did better than last time is a good argument. I thought both candidates held their own tonight.

I love that Romney was forced to bad mouth GWB. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Obama had a much better night and without a doubt had the upper-hand.

good lord, wasn't Romney's entire response awful? I want to paste his entire response, but I'll limit myself to my special favorite part: We're going to have to have employers in the new economy, in the economy I'm going to bring to play, that are going to be so anxious to get good workers they're going to be anxious to hire women. www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/10/16/transcript-second-presidential-debate/Yeah, what was with that answer? It was like he was saying the way to get women jobs is to create so many jobs there won't be enough men to fill them. Then employers will have to hire women to fill the jobs. Odd response.

B2r, you need to stop rolling around, get up off the floor, and educate yourself. You're looking a bit foolish, I'm afraid. It's quite plain you have no clue what you're "laughing" about.

I think Romney is doing well. He basically has to break even to win the debate because Obama is considered to be such a great speaker. Romney is actually considered to be a better debater. it is just not widely known.

Obama' s answer to gun control. Start Fast and Furious II and send all the AK 47's down there. Obama should have contested that point. that was a rare score during the debate for Romney. he had a few.

Silly me for expecting the The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 to address fair pay... Just like the Affordable Care Act would address affordable care? ![](http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/smileys/1-1.gif)

Lily Ledbetter changes the statute of limitations during which you can sue for wage discrimination from beginning after the date of hire to after the date of learning about the discrimination. It is intended to decrease wage discrimination (which was already illegal), but it will take several years for the benefits to be realized.
So, in that regard, it is sort of like the ACA.

Of course it does raise the issue of deciding if paying a person less is actually based on discrimination or if a company is attempting to save money by paying people a lower salary based on that person agreeing to do the same job for a lower wage.

I am sick of hearing Romney say "in my state". It's like there is only 1 state in the union that he cares about. and that state will vote for Obama. Maybe that's because of the underpants issues When I listen to Romney I'm reminded of the South Park - Underpants Gnomes www.southparkstudios.com/clips/151040/the-underpants-businessPhase 1 - Collect all the underpants Phase 2 - ? Phase 3 - Profit The gist of it is the Gnomes collect all the underpants they can find. They don't have a clue what phase 2 is all about but phase three is huge profits. Romney's 5 point plan by itself lack any specific detail, he's collecting underpants. Romney's phase 2 is the great unknown but phase three is a booming economy, low unemployment, energy independence, a nuclear free Iran and China put in its place.

True. The law just allows you to sue. It doesn't having anything to do with whether or not you win.

and of course the claim that requested had been made for extra security, that's not a bit exaggerated is it? The ignored requests were for 1-2 additional security agents in keeping with a memo from last year that said the embassy should have had 5 security agents not Marine detachments which never arrived. Lying/misleading cuts both ways.

Obama lied about Libya and Candy helped him do it. The dems can try to lie it away or wish it away; it ain't gonna go away. i have two things to say about it. first is that the president was right. he did say "terror" in the garden the day after the event. Candi backed him by quoting him. second: people don't care that much about foreign policy, as a rule. if Romney manages to make silk from this sow's ear, i will be very surprised.
