yes, what is it with the blinking? Typically the one who blinked the most loses the debate. They have done studies on previous presidential debates.

Mitt isn't smirking this time. He has a pained smile. --------------- He's also blinking furiously and walking as if his magic underpants are creeping up his butt. Isn't rapid blinking often a sign of nervousness or anxiety?

On the 47% percent: I said 47% percent would vote for you no matter what...But, judging by the recent polls that does not seem to be the case! ![](http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/smileys/1-1.gif)

I'm curious, DJ. You had Pres. Obama favoured four to one a couple weeks back before this "Romney surge". What are your thoughts now? i posted him on Monday morning at 5:3. i upped it to 2:1 that evening. today he is back to 5:3. but i think he is heading back to 2:1 i basically just take 538 and Intrade and try to figure out who is most right.

Talking about his religion, Mitt sounds more sincere than at any time during th debate. i think he sincerely believes what he says. today. and tomorrow, he will be just as sincere when he says he believes something totally different.

body language of blinking Body language of blinking: When reading the body language or nonverbal communication of others one of the items that may identify deceit, lies, stress or even medical conditions is blinking. The action of blinking happens naturally and you can easily make mistakes when it comes to interpreting what blinking means. There are some actions that people really cannot control that perform necessary functions and blinking is one of them. This action keeps the eyes moisturized but also protects the eyes from debris and bright lights. The average person blinks every 3-12 seconds and that can work out to 8-10 blinks per minute unless under stress or medical conditions. Under stress, while fabricating or while lying the rate of blinking may increase. readingbodylanguagenow.com/blinking/

Oooh, Obama is serious cuz now he is pointing his finger! Big whoop! he always points. it is a bad speech habit. makes him look like he is scolding. he also says "folks" too much. he is not from the South. he should call them "people" or "citizens" or "voters" or "public".

Obama was much "better" tonight. Mitt seemed defensive and caught off guard. Neither connected really with the audience.
Romney's tax and economic plan was really called out and the math, more than ever does not work.
Romney is for affirmative action, did not know that until tonight.
Both scored points but when you go to the cards Obama wins in a unanimous decision, in my opinion. He was cooler, calmer and more collected than Romney.... And no TelePrompTer.

Mitt's 5 point plan 'doesn't add up". Well Mr. President, apparently YOUR math isn't adding up to give us record defecits. the record deficits are not owned by Obama. they are owned by FDR.

Am I the only one that feels like I'm watching the Jerry Springer show? no. and i have to say, this is a vast improvement to watching Obama take abuse for 90 mins.

good lord, wasn't Romney's entire response awful? I want to paste his entire response, but I'll limit myself to my special favorite part: We're going to have to have employers in the new economy, in the economy I'm going to bring to play, that are going to be so anxious to get good workers they're going to be anxious to hire women. www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/10/16/transcript-second-presidential-debate/

Romney is for affirmative action, did not know that until tonight. And if I remember correctly, we found that out in response to a question about pay disparity between the sexes - his answer didn't even touch on pay.

"Romney is for affirmative action, did not know that until tonight."
Romney's poll numbers are going to plunge to zero with the true conservatives.

In things we don't agree on... oh snap! Candy just called you out on your facts. Check the transcript, Governor. that was a highlight. Romney's epic fail "gotcha moment". one for the debate books: "if you are going to mock your opponent, make sure you have your facts straight" he never recovered from that. he went into a death spiral.
