Actually, that isn't true - I love hanging around women with huge asses - makes me look thin!

I might get flamed for this but since we are being honest here... when I see someone covered in tattoos and body piercings (I am not talking about one or two but ALL over their body) I often think they must not like themselves very much. I just don't get it I have to agree with you ... don't they realize that they are going to get old? Just like the girl on X-Factor with the leopard spot tatoo on the side of her head ... I am like, WTF was she thinking?

Shave your toes, ladies!! It never even occured to me that women grew hair on their toes. But now that you mention it, took a quick look and guess we do. Glad I'm blonde, but wished you'd never brought it up. Thanks a lot. Sheesh, this Board teaches me all sorts of things I never needed to know. Do people really shave the tops of their toes? Wait, don't answer!!! Wax ... when you get a pedicure, just ask the person to wax the toe(s)

People who are late and waste my time. Now, I am not talking about a friend being late meeting me for dinner. I am talking about patients showing up over a half hour late expecting me to see them and make me late for my next patient. Or the shuttle driver showing up 25 minutes late (two of them in the same day) when I had a flight to catch. Well, maybe the patients are late because they expect doctors to be late. Nothing gripes me more than sitting in a doctor's office for hours. I used to go to one doctor who scheduled everyone in at two times - 8 am and then 1 PM. Everyone showed up at the same time and then sat for hours waiting their turn. When I asked at the desk WTH was going on, I was told this was the most effective way for the doctor - he always has patients ready, never has to wait on them. Needless to say, I left and found another Dr.

NFW. I'm drawing the line at this BS. Hey until a day or so ago I never even knew I had hair on my toes and even when you guys suggested it had to look really closely to see it. DH can just deal with my hairy toes 'cause I am not adding one more maintenance item to the list. Dang, he should be grateful I keep my toenails painted. Stop the insanity, people. This hypergrooming is crazy.

SK--you're not alone. I have only done it this summer because I'm entitled to wear sandals when pregnant and am trying to produce the smallest dose of professionalism.
This thread has taught me that you all would hate me in person. ;D

SK, you are not the only one who doesn't paint her toenails. I only do it because we wear open toed shoes all year 'round around here so people see my toes a lot. When I'm upping the miles in running or have really beaten them up doing some other crazy thing, it's not unusual that at least one of the toenails has fallen off or is black; painting them hides all that. But I'm not shaving my toes. F that. And if you don't have black or missing toenails, leave 'em unpainted and don't worry.

I won't use the first napkin in a napkin holder. I am not sure why, but I always worry it is dirty. That's not a crazy bias, that's just common sense. Like not using the outside sheets of toilet paper in a public restroom. Ick.

Both my big ones are black and purple.

This hypergrooming is crazy. I wouldn't shave my toes either. My BFF does it & the stubble is more obvious & weird looking to me than just some hair. I have sort of hairy toes, but you aren't seeing it if you aren't bending down looking at my foot. If they were worse I might go for laser treatement. But, as it is my toes are staying hairy.

I don't mind painting my own toes at home, but don't enjoy getting pedicures at a salon. I'm not patient enough to sit for that long doing nothing and don't like spending that much money on something that's likely to get chipped within a few days when I'm being thrown around a racing boat anyway. This may be one of my crazy biases, though, because I always wonder how people are patient enough to sit still for manicures, pedicures, etc. I even think getting my hair cut is a necessary evil and have left stylists that take too long. No way do I want to sit around a salon for hours. Lots of stuff to do...

I like to have my feet rubbed Howeve, I hate manicures and getting my hair done is a necessary evil.

I love manicures, although I've only ever had a couple (prom/wedding/bridesmaid duty). Almost like a hand massage. The chemical odor in most salons is kind of a turnoff, though. Never had a pedicure... I have seriously ugly feet and would be embarrassed to pay a stranger to touch them. But I think they look nice on other people

I pedicures. I read books for work while I get one, so I never feel like I am wasting time. Working and relaxing at the same time is multitasking at its finest! I haven't been able to get one for months because I ran over my big toe with a shopping cart (yes, I am that uncoordinated) and lost half of my big toenail, but am close to being able to go back!

The chemical smell gets to me some times. Last time they cut my toenails too short. MM had a suggestion to only get them filed, not cut. I haven't been back since then.
I might have a small OPI addiction and have a bunch of colors so I don't see a need to pay for a pedicure. I've never had a manicure.

The new gel nail stuff is crazy durable. I use that on my toenails and they stay painted a long time, even under some abuse. On the downside, it doesn't really work well for painting the place where your toenail has fallen off. Oh, well.

There is a possibility that I have a list in my phone of all the OPI colors I have so I don't buy the same one again. I'm also worried about cleanliness. I don't really know any girls around here to ask for recommendations. Maybe the landlord's girlfriend would know.

See, I think manicures are a waste of time because they get trashed so fast but pedicures last forever for me. Not that I pay for either but that's another discussion

We would be crucified upside down with our toe nails ripped out if we even thought about pulling crap like that. Other departments will call and let us know if a Veteran was delayed with them for some reason or another (even if it is just a few minutes) because it is a big stink to put others behind. I am usually running 10 to 15 minutes early and the vast majority of my Veteran's how up well before their appointment time, so it is the rare individual that is late.

Bitten nails. The person is a total loser. And I used to be a nail biter, so I know! One guy at work bites his nail in meetings. It is seriously the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. It makes me want to vomit. If you bite your nails, do it in private, dude!
