Well bga4444, as we wediscussed a short time back, that it would all catch up to itself eventually. Take a look at this egg, So here we are looking to, US debt: how big is it and who owns it? www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2011/jul/15/us-debt-how-big-who-ownsand we should keep in mind as a few others are, "The U.S. fiscal gap, calculated (by us) using the Congressional Budget Office’s realistic long-term budget forecast -- the Alternative Fiscal Scenario -- is now $222 trillion. Last year, it was $211 trillion. The $11 trillion difference -- this year’s true federal deficit -- is 10 times larger than the official deficit and roughly as large as the entire stock of official debt in public hands. This fantastic and dangerous growth in the fiscal gap is not new. In 2003 and 2004, the economists Alan Auerbach and William Gale extended the CBO’s short-term forecast and measured fiscal gaps of $60 trillion and $86 trillion, respectively. In 2007, the first year the CBO produced the Alternative Fiscal Scenario, the gap, by our reckoning, stood at $175 trillion. By 2009, when the CBO began reporting the AFS annually, the gap was $184 trillion. In 2010, it was $202 trillion, followed by $211 trillion in 2011 and $222 trillion in 2012. Part of the fiscal gap’s growth reflects changes in policy, such as the Bush and Obama tax cuts, the introduction of Medicare Part D, and the expansion of defense spending. Part reflects natural growth of existing programs, including growth in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement rates. And part reflects the demographic time bomb U.S. politicians are blithely ignoring." www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-08-08/blink-u-s-debt-just-grew-by-11-trillion.htmIt's a race to debase!

Long time no see. China holdings of US debt is down to 1.15T as of July'12. That's actually down 165 billion (or 13%) from July'11. Market seems to be hanging in there so far even with that partial pay off of the Chinese.

What will happen to the market when the government and "the Fed" has to pull out that 2-3 trillion to pay off the Chinese...just asking? BTW Hello to all I hope everyone is well! What makes you think that we're really going to pay off the Chinese? Keep betting that the market will collapse and you'll never make any money. Just saying......Investments in any stock should be based on current profits and future prospects, nothing else. Business will continue in any environment because that's how the world runs. Even Communist China figured out that Capitalism works. Mao must be spinning in his grave. Anyone who actually wants to cheer a market collapse is a fool. Anyone who believes that the stock market is a "ponzi" is not far behind.

Yes! Because there is a 100% possibility that the market will be between ZERO and 36,000. and I am placing my money on that.

texas, willing to put it all on the line hey. That's too darn funny!
Why don't they address the TRILLIONS and TRILLIONS and TRILLIONS of propping that has been done,is being done, and continues without remorse being done?
I will answer that. Becouse if they did, then they would have to state that this farce of the ongoing could have never been made possible by the GRAND ILLUSION in which it is and has been.

I feel confident that in my life time I will be 100% correct about the market.
I got out with a small amount of money.
The rest of you best hope and pray for that good of an outcome.

so you believe that the world markets will implode....and all companies will be worthless
that is the gist of what you are saying.....
mcdonalds will not sell any more burgers ge will not sell any more lightbulbs proctor & gamble will not sell any more paper products boeing wont sell any more airplanes
because if they are selling products...they are worth something
we can argue about how they are valued, and whether or not their balance sheet is accurate
but any company selling products...earning a profit is worth more than zero....can we agree on that?

I guess it's a common thing with a certain crowd around here eh G? From what I can see it goes, make outrageous claims, then when called out on them just ignore and act like you're still right....

You are placing your money on nothing, because, as you stated, you left the market years ago.......and lost your ass in doing so. That's your choice and it's ok.
I will answer that. Becouse if they did, then they would have to state that this farce of the ongoing could have never been made possible by the GRAND ILLUSION in which it is and has been.
You've answered nothing.....

Exactly, no answers, that's all I'm askin for. seems to be their way.... its a fairly easy question i asked.... apparently not so for them Their way indeed, mouths writing checks that their butts can't cash comes to mind. I guess though, an answer to what you're asking G means that some kind of rational explanation has to follow..

It seems like the right one as well.... No you're asking the impossible.... No doubt, I see instead of standing up for what you believe in like a man, all there is, is more underhanded remarks in the form of a new thread..
