"... they are burning KFC's now..." So much for Southern-style mash-and-gravy and corn on the cob in Tripoli... Their loss... or gain... depending on whether you like the stuff or not... True that and by the post above about the escalating I will just through this out there again.... There is a REALLY chance the Middle East is going to collapse in on itself and you're going to see what's going on in Mali happen in wide swaths across the Middle East. Obama has just asked Egypt to take a side, Egypt and Turkey have told Iran they have to choose on Syria. Azerbaijan has Israeli planes and tanks in their bases pointed at Iran. Turkey wants IN the EU badly, and the Saudis want all that international money to keep flowing. But ontop of that you have China's interest in the region to consider as well. The Islamic extremists have been causing problems for them on their own boarder, and in Africa. I say in Africa because China is investing heavily in the future of that county. So what do you think is going to happen if these extremest continue to escalate across the region, as they seem to be doing?(There were more Embassy attacks today).<----- And more attacks again today. Keep in mind the Muslims that want to move forward are the ones that want money and have access to armies and are working with Israel. Oh and have the backing of the Chinese really when it comes right down to it.

So the protesters burn pictures of our president, burn our flags, chant death to America but they are mad at an Egyptian ex-con man"s video not our country or policies? When did Muslims start supporting his policies on gay marriage and homosexuality? The Muslim Brotherhood originally called for the protests and the president just authorized sending them 1.5 billion in more military aid? By the way how did an ex con from Egypt get to California? Walk across the border or did we grant him some special citizenship deal? Why doesn't Obama just make a video that asks them to only protest California citizens and burn their flag since they aren't protesting our country, it's policies or ideals. Get real.

1.) tawhid 2.)Adl 3.)Nubuwwa 4.)Qiyama 5.) imama
I find little in these precepts that reflect the peace of Islam as the violence that is sweeping the middle east against America continues.
They have five pillars , seven pillars, twelve pillars. Islam is anything but the pillar of peace. It has one goal. To make you a believer

The violence is the issue, and who is behind the violence. But people have a right to protest. Even if you don't agree with them.

One thing that I don't understand is why they have these waves of protests on a semi-regular basis when it is almost always the protesters that end up getting killed. Right now it was more Americans killed than protesters, but I bet by the end of this there will be many more protesters dead than Americans. You would think after a few rounds of this the rioters would add up the numbers and stop showing up.
I am not excusing or justifying what they are doing, just expressing that it makes no sense at all for the individual protester to show up and risk their safety like that to serve no purpose.

They are storming British and German embassies now.........for a film made by an Egyptian.... These people are ignorant, stupid and clearly racist. I don't think its a lot of people.... but its supported by others who appear to be whipped into hysteria. It will blow over... then we must demand that those responsible are brought to justice.

How about our goverment allows the Middle East to come to America and tell us who we are to believe in and who not?
Better yet! Let's go to China and tell them they can no longer believe in there Buddah!
Or let's head to Canada and tell them that the Roman Catholic religion shall be no more!

Post transferred from another thread... ==================================== Christians Around the World Erupt in Rage at Cola AdBy Anthony Montana - the Humbugger Telegraph Gazette, Sep 14 2012 21:00 EDST - Rooters InternationalMiddle Eastern Christians press toward the compound gate of a Cokey Colon bottling plant on the island of East Timorous on FridayATLANTA: The passions of Christians worldwide have been inflamed by an ill-advised promotional advertisement by the makers of Doktor Peeper and a large group of believers have stormed the headquarters compound of the parent bottling company, Cokey Colon, here in Atlanta, killing several watchdogs and setting corporate executive limosines and delivery trucks afire with petrol-filled soda bottles, before local authorities regained control of the compound. The advertisement featured a still-photo and a video clip showing the silhouetted outlines of a chimpanzee and Neanderthal and Cro-Mangnon humanoids, in progression, before, at the time of discovery, and after indulging in Doktor Peeper - making it quite clear that the Peeper and Colon companies supported the idea of Evolution - thereby insulting all Christians (and Jews) who believe in the Creation story found in the Old Testament, and, thereby, humiliating all of Christendom, and conjuring-up images of blasphemy against the One True and Omnipotent God, according to sources who spoke on condition of anonymity. The accompanying video clip also showed a Buddy Keerist -like figure ( reminiscent of the 1998 film 'Doggmaw') holding out a bottle of Doktor Peeper and giving it a thumbs-up, while keeping it to Himself and flipping-off Mareee Magdoleen and the disciples: the message being: 'get your own' - portraying the Founder as mysoginistic and selfish and disloyal - a portrayal deemed by believers to be highly insulting and inflamatory. All Western high clerics, including the Papa, except for the Archbishop of Kanterberry, and all Eastern Patriarchs, except for the Scoliosis of Armunia, have called for the punishment of the perpetrators of this marketing campaign, and tremendous crowds of highly incensed and excitable Christians are marshalling their numbers and forces and surrounding the distribution and bottling offices of Cokey Colon worldwide. The Curia in Rome is scheduled to meet in emergency session tomorrow to determine whether sufficient cause exists to declare a Crusade of the Faithful against Cokey Colon and Doktor Peeper and to begin military operations shortly thereafter. It is expected that the Pontiff will consult beforehand with high-ranking spokesmen of the various other larger-scale branches of Christianity in order to coordinate a response prior to any formal announcement and Taking of the Cross against the Atlanta -based beverage giant. Neville Chamberlain, still dead after all these years, has said that although Christian outrage is justified, that the Christian reaction and preparations to go on a war footing against Cokey Colon and its host city are misguided, and encourages Cokey Colon, its host city, Atlanta, its host State, Georgia, and its host country, the United States, to consider acceding to the demands of these religious militants rather than risk any unnecessary unpleasantness that might upset folks at afternoon tea. Meanwhile, Cokey Colon and Doktor Peeper spokespersons have been engaged in a furious round of Damage Control, protesting the best of intentions and pleading to be heard in their contention that the use of images depicting Evolution over Creationism were chosen for their perceived comedic value and that although they had, indeed, intended to make a point concerning Evolution, they regretted giving offense to Christians worldwide in the process of doing so. Various staff of the advertising agency involved have protested that they were not aware at the time of story board delivery that these images would be utilized in a manner that might prove deeply offensive and inflammatory to Christians worldwide. Unfortunately, the Christian blood is up, and, once the Curia has been consulted, the Pope is expected to declare Crusade by mid-day tomorrow, at the latest. The US Stutter Department is in the process of investigating the claims of Christian protesters and rioters and expects to release a full apology and to offer contrition and penance for such offenses prior to the noontime Crusade invocation tomorrow. Although Christianity is presented worldwide as a Religion of Peace, there is growing concern in some quarters that its legions of believers and adherents and sympathizers - mustering at Cokey Colon bottling plants worldwide - may invoke one of the numerous citations and invocations to violence found in the Newer Testament and utilize such as the spiritual basis for committing great and grave mischief at bottling facilities worldwide. ... To read the rest of the article, click on... www.whatacrockofchit.makebelievebunkumandbosh.com========================================================================== Beyond being in incredibly bad taste and demonstrating bad timing... The idea is absolutely ridiculous, isn't it? Imagine Christianity or Judaism or Buddhism, at large, reacting in such a fashion, to something even remotely akin to such an example...

"... I don't think its a lot of people.... but its supported by others who appear to be whipped into hysteria..." Good grief, Spell, but I'm not sure how much broader this all has to get, before some folks are willing to concede that it is, instead, a LOT of people... both behind-the-scenes, and in the streets... Muslim / Arab anger at The West hasn't blown-over in the last 50-60 years since Europe took its Colonial hooks out of most of the countries now manifesting a Resurgent Islam, so, I'm not sure that it will - although the flames from this particular brushfire will no doubt die-down after we've had a few hundred more deaths worldwide, to add to the Rolls of the Holy Martyrs. Indeed. And then we can blush and stamp our feet and whine about how unfair it is, when the governments of the countries in which 'those responsible' reside, laugh in our faces and moon us.

... Of course, it is Obama's MO to never take responsibility, so why should I be surprised. Okay, Islamic extremists are protesting against this Administration's policies which are pro-Muslim and anti-Israel. Got it.

Obama: US has 'profound respect for people of all faiths'Police stand guard over protesters near the U.S. Consulate General in central Sydney Saturday, as a wave of unrest against a film that mocks Islam spread to Australia.NBC - By Reuters - Updated at 4:05 a.m. ETWASHINGTON - President Barack Obama on Saturday rejected any denigration of Islam, but insisted there was no excuse for attacks on U.S. embassies as angry protests over an obscure, anti-Muslim film spread to Australia. "I have made it clear that the United States has a profound respect for people of all faiths," Obama said in his weekly radio address. "Yet there is never any justification for violence .... There is no excuse for attacks on our embassies and consulates,” he added. Anti-American protests have swept the Muslim world in response to the film, which insults the Prophet Muhammad. The death toll as a result of violence during protests in the Middle East and North Africa Friday rose from seven to nine with Tunisian officials saying four people -- rather than two as stated earlier -- died there. Three were killed by gunfire and the other died after being hit by two police cars, a senior hospital official told Reuters. An attack on the U.S. Consulate in the Libyan city of Benghazi killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others this week. A day after Obama led a somber ceremony marking the return of the bodies of the Americans killed in Libya, Obama acknowledged that a surge of anti-American violence in the Middle East is disturbing. The Pentagon is sending Marines to beef up security at the U.S. embassy in Sudan, following similar reinforcements to Libya and Yemen. The Libyan attack and the U.S.-directed outrage have raised questions about Obama's handling of the so-called Arab Spring, a series of revolutions that have unseated entrenched authoritarian governments. ... The protests over the anti-Islam film, "Innocence of Muslims," which made in the U.S. continued Saturday, spreading to Australia where the authorities seemed taken by surprise as more than 400 demonstrators gathered outside the U.S. Consulate in Sydney. Some of the chanting protesters carried placards reading "Behead all those who insult the Prophet." Several streets, usually thronging with weekend shoppers, were blocked off by police as the protest grew. Police, many wearing anti-riot equipment and some on horseback, used dogs and chemical sprays as they tried to control the protest. ... Muslim leader calls for calmReuters Television pictures showed one policeman with a head injury being led away by colleagues. Police later said six officers had been injured and eight protesters arrested. A spokesman for paramedics said there were no serious injuries. A Muslim leader addressed the protesters in a park, calling for calm. ... worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/09/15/13877580-obama-us-has-profound-respect-for-people-of-all-faiths?lite

TonyTiger, yes I do read. And am wondering what you may or may not know as to the 'Taxfarmers' and 'The Epic of The Maccabees'.
The reason I ask is that you state above a timeline of 50-60 years,'Muslim / Arab anger at The West hasn't blown-over in the last 50-60 years since Europe took its Colonial hooks out of most of the countries now manifesting a Resurgent Islam, so...'

TonyTiger, yes I do read. And am wondering what you may or may not know as to the 'Taxfarmers' and 'The Epic of The Maccabees'. I don't know anything at all about these. That is me articulating my perception that these former colonies previously had a political life of their own prior to the Age of European Colonialism and that we are now seeing powerful manifestations of the resentment towards The West that these Islamic lands had built up over the past couple of centuries. The causes for Arab-Muslim discontent and rage are numerous and diverse but our present-day media tends to focus primarily upon the Israeli-Palestinian Troubles and Western support of Arab dictators as the primary reasons for their discontent, all the while ignoring the multi-generational resentment and ill will that is the bitter legacy of the Europen Colonial Era. IMHO.

So you do not see the connection but from a short timeline. As far as #262,it would be apparent that if you care not to address the facts that have come about and in plain site, leaving 9/11 out of things and going with the rest that Dr. Roberts brings to the table. As far as 'The Epic of The Maccabees',my copy is a first printing. The HISTORY takes us back to 333-323 B.C.E. and prior to.
Now this is stuff you are not taught in school as there is supposed to be no connection to those times and the current ones. Startling one would find that cares to do the leg work, that creativeness has simply kept the ball rolling from these early times and has tossed and turned the format throughout the years.
We compare such times with the example of Tesla and GE in the 1890's as to Teslas ideas screwing up the economic picture for the future as stated by GE back then. Of course you can throw the electric car into things and ask why it has not already been accomplished as 100 years in the making and stealth bombers and moon landings have (amongst many others) but the oil and gas machine simply can not be contribed? That would be pure foolishness as to one thinking that such is and has not been possible. Ford unveiled in 1963 the prototype vehicle that certainly holds a major future car considered years outdated when presented in 1963.

I think most of the protesters can't fathom the idea of living in a free country where the gov't doesn't control speech. I don't blame them for their response, and I think they're used as tools by more unsavory characters.
So in the end, this is still an attack on the US (more accurately, the free world), but most of the people involved are probably just misguided.

LA Sheriff: Feds Interview Calif. FilmmakerNakoula Basseley Nakoula (C) is escorted out of his home by Los Angeles County Sheriff's officers in Cerritos, California September 15, 2012. (Reuters /Landov)NBC - LOS ANGELES September 15, 2012 (AP)Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, was interviewed at the station in his hometown of Cerritos, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Don Walker said. Federal officials have said they were investigating the activities of Nakoula, who has been convicted of financial crimes. If the probation department determines Nakoula violated terms of his release, a judge could send him back to prison. Walker said Nakoula traveled voluntarily in a squad car with deputies. "He went to the Cerritos station to talk with probation officers. He's not under any arrest," Walker said. The deputy said he doesn't have information on the interview or how long it lasted. KNBC-TV reported that Nakoula went to the station early Saturday morning. The TV station said that media had been staking out the home at the end of a cul de sac in the Southern California city when the man emerged wearing a coat, hat, scarf and glasses. There was no answer early Saturday at the federal probation department's California's central district office in Los Angeles. The probation department is reviewing the case of Nakoula, who was previously convicted on bank fraud charges and was banned from using computers or the Internet as part of his sentence. The review is aimed at learning whether Nakoula violated the terms of his five-year probation. Karen Redmond, a spokeswoman for the administrative office of the U.S. courts, confirmed Friday the review is under way. Federal authorities have identified Nakoula, a self-described Coptic Christian, as the key figure behind "Innocence of Muslims," a film denigrating Islam and the Prophet Muhammad that ignited mob violence against U.S. embassies across the Middle East. A federal law enforcement official told The Associated Press on Thursday that authorities had connected Nakoula to a man using the pseudonym of Sam Bacile who claimed earlier to be writer and director of the film. ... Nakoula pleaded no contest in 2010 to federal bank fraud charges in California and was ordered to pay more than $790,000 in restitution. He was also sentenced to 21 months in federal prison and was ordered not to use computers or the Internet for five years without approval from his probation officer. His attorney cited Nakoula's poor health in a bid for leniency and home detention, stating his client suffered from Hepatitis C, diabetes that require twice-daily insulin shots, and other ailments that required more than 10 medications a day, according to a transcript of the sentencing obtained by the AP. ... abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/la-sheriff-feds-interview-calif-filmmaker-17243197
