Meijer: I bought a $50.00 Meijer giftcard for $45.00 using a catalina coupon, which I purchased at their gas station using my credit card so I should get 5% back. I did 2 transactions in the store and came home with 20 bags of shredded Kraft cheese, 4 cream of mushroom soups, 3 jars of Dole fruit and 1 pkg. pepperoni. After using coupons, I have over $34.00 left on the giftcard and another $10.00 catalina. The cheese works out to be $.38 a pack. I might have to go back and do another deal and see if I can squeeze some more cheese in the freezer.
Staples: Avery tabs for $3.99 minus $3.99 reward equals $.00 OOP and I'll get back a $3.99 check.
If Rite Aid restocked their shelves, I might get another couple of mouthwashes.

Ack! I thought I had found a $1.99 mistake in my receipt but I forgot I bought organic salad in a clamshell reduced for sale. I did get one really good deal. There was a 1/2 lb. petite sirlion steak for $3 with a $2 meat coupon, so .5lb of steak for a $1. ;D I'm still jealous of Nancy's ShopRite deal though. The deal she did wouldn't work for me as I avoid dairy to stay well. All the potential deals that might have worked for me involved more out of pocket and more stuff that was too high price point wise compared to my normal stuff. <Curse you ShopRite! Shakes fist in the air. > Nancy, next time find a deal I can do too. OK?

I did manage to restrain myself from buying the pierogi. However, my friend INSISTED on paying for dinner in spite of the fact he paid when we went w/a mutual out of town friend in the spring. I do not feel good about that but we sat, ate, talked for 2 hours.
My grocery ads are ok this week. Nothing at Albertsons. A few items at Safeway. Under $10 at the produce markets. Still need to get the ads for the 2 independents near my Dad-will do today.

Hi all!! Thanks to Verizon, our internet has been down for about a day and a half. My husband was joking that I was going through withdrawals, but he was the first one to get on when it came back up. saveinla: Got your envie. THANK YOU sooooo much!! All the Capri Sun IPs that you gals sent me are all safely tucked into the cash register drawer at Nob Hill. Now I have quite a nice little stockpile of Capri Sun thanks to you all. beachbum: I'm jealous of the great price that you got on it. There is absolutely no way I could get that good a deal on it around here. $1/10-cnt. box is about as good as it gets. As a matter of fact, I wasn't sure I'd ever see it at that price again since coupons for it come out only once in a blue moon. And thanks to saveinla, I was able to do the Simple Pleasure deal on my other card at CVS. I needed one more $2 coupon and she was kind enough to send it to me. DH already ate a whole bag , so I'm hiding these two.

twinmama: I just read that the $3/1 Lays coupon was a fake. Lays never authorized any such coupon. I guess it was caught quite quickly and that's why it was "out of prints" so fast.
That's good news about your DS. I am guessing that your relief means that ADHD is easier to manage. Hang in there.

DancinMama,
I e-mailed Lay's to ask them if the coupon was legit. They have not e-mailed back, and it's been a few days. The coupon has actually appeared on a FB site, so it did appear to be legit.
Could you tell me where you read that the Lay's q is a fake? Thanks!

It was on coupon network and one other." And this was too: "I was so excited for the lays then when I clicked they took the link down cause of fraud."

They've been talking about it on the Giant Eagle forum at HCW, and they seemed to have word from couponnetwork that they coupons WERE legit, but were meant to have a targeted distribution to certain subscribers rather than being posted for anyone to print. I would be surprised if they were straight-up fraudulent, because couponnetwork is a legit site. Last I heard, they hadn't received official confirmation on whether or not PepsiCo was going to honor the mistake and redeem all the coupons or not. Some people were also saying that they could print as many coupons as they wanted, but they all had identical codes on them, which is obviously a problem.

Had my first encounter w/the new registers at WAG on Fri. Hang on to your hats boys and girls. Check out lines are going to be IMPOSSIBLE. I had a cashier I recognized as experienced = knowledgeable but the dingbatted machine REFUSED to recognize my WAG gift card. Took WAY >5 min to buy 1 item. I will walk out if this happens again. My time is WAAAY more valuable to me than just about any item that is also likely to be a ‘special’ at CVS the week before, same week or week after a WAG sale.
I am NOT impressed w/either the CVS or WAG ad starting 9/2.
