HONEY: As weird as this may sound, I know more than a little bit of how you feel on the friend front. I am surrounded by women when I serve but am still so alone. I just don't seem to have that "friend" gene. I see strangers all the time meet and become bff's. I made an effort this past sports season at my kids sporting events and I just couldn't do it. The only group of women who I would "fit" in just gossiped and talked crap about their husbands. It's just not who am so I just sat alone and I don't know if it is good or bad but I am content with that. It's a bunch of work on my part to be social. I'm not wired that way and I feel more exhausted coming home from a "girlfirends" event. Anyhow, I just wanted you to know you are not alone. Lisa Welchel (Blair from Facts of Life) wrote a book called Friendship for Grown Ups. I haven't read it or heard anything one way or another about it. I did hear her speak at a Women's Conference on the topic and she had some great insight. www.amazon.com/Friendship-Grown-Ups-Missed-Learned-Along/dp/1400202779.... Muttleyn: I am a crier by nature but the fact that ALL of my kids will be in school this Fall has put my water works in overdrive! Money: I went to the Arlington Cemetery Women's War Museum when I was 21 and was in complete AWE. I hope to be able to make it back there with my family. Start: Yes, I know. Ideally that would be the "smart" thing to do but DH only gets vacation in the Summer. We have the cash (even thought it would be tight) and sadly we would not regret it (working on that). I think I will keep my we are secretly going to Disneyland ploy up because it is keeping me from spending money. The second I come to terms that we shouldn't do this. I start to mentally spend that money. I have issues, I know. My fear is we don't go and just end up blowing that money anyway. ** Sigh** RED/SS: I just went ahead and declined her friend request. When it is all said and done I do want to have a relationship with my mom. I really do but for my own well-being facebook is not the kind of relationship we need So far so good. We haven't spent any money and I am sticking to making our planned meals! Go-us! ~Happy No Spending~

Rocky Mtn Saver: 10/30 NSD, 8/30 CSD (<$5). CSD again yesterday, and should be one today as well. I'm going to reach my goals this month by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin...

I like Joyful July for the month. It is supposed to be a joyful month with the 4th of July and all the carnivals and fireworks and the family get togethers. update; 25/30 NSD, 25/30 NEO, and still $0.00 in savings. I have to work harder at the savings thing.

I haven't had much time to do any posting here (or anywhere) but just had to share my good news about our NEW PLACE!! I sent off our rental application on Monday once we got DH's salary letter and we found out today that we got the last 3bd/2 bath they had available for August. I am so excited I could scream!! It has a washer/dryer which makes me so happy I'm almost giddy with glee. I haven't had my own w/d since I moved out of my parents house in 1999 so this is monumental for me . Now I just have to figure out how to finish packing, keep working, and move without much help since nanny's last day was Monday. Oh well, at least we have somewhere to live once we get there. Happy weekend all!

Joyful July sounds good to me. I am trying to switch my perspective to be more joyful and positive. So this will be perfect. Making progress: I spent $27 on groceries at the beginning of the week and took out $100 cash to use for the remainder of the week in groceries and as of today I have $4 left and a complete meals for tomorrow!! So excited about this mini victory. Yesterday I wanted so desperately to just go out to eat (actually I didn't want to clean the kitchen to make dinner more than I wanted to go out to eat) AND I didn't. I made dinner instead. I also haven't "sent" DH to the store for anything either. This is a major plus for me. I normally use DH to aid in my spending because I know he will grab "extra" junk if I send him for a cheese or a tomato or something of the sort. We also decided for sure no Disney...Blah-we might be growing up. We had another idea to go for a quick weekend away to San Diego Just DH and I since it has been YEARS since we have gone away without the kids. We do date night and have had our kids spend the night with his mom but it's not the same because it involves DH working a long day coming home and going out on a date (exhausted and trying his best to be a good sport) and then getting the kids early the next morning. Anyway wouldn't you know that the ONLY vacation DH has all year, his mom has plans. Things like this make me sad I don't have parents Anyhow, Happy No Spending. I'm hoping this momentum takes me into July joyfully and on a mission to save money.

I managed to stay in all day although I really wanted to get some cheese so I can make another bath of yummy pretzel bites!
Mom and Dad come back tomorrow to pick up their dogs (thankgod) so I have just one more night of 5 pups.
Been working in the master bedroom today and I finally got paint on the walls and ceiling! Just in small sections but tomorrow I should be able to break out the rollers and paint at least half the ceiling!
Some primer is up on the wall already but I'll need to get the ceilings done first. So much work ahead and I gave myself a deadline of August 1st. Must be done. I am so ready to sleep in my own room again!

My Final Update: 9 NSD, 5 CSDwhich is pathetic! less than half the month. I counted 8 days out of town though and the remaining 8 at home were mostly errands. I would be the happiest girl in the world if I didn't have to buy groceries ever again! Started the July thread here: notmsnmoney.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wir&action=display&thread=24213And refreshed the info at the top. Let's make the last half of 2012 super productive and non-spendy!

NSD 22/30
This month has been pathetic! It felt like i was spending every time I turned around! I hope July is better. At least it won't include $50 to the vet. Trying to stop Calleigh from "spraying" is proving expensive. Hopefully the antibiotics will stop the problem. On top of the blasted heat stopping any motivation to get anything done, and spending at the drop of a hat I am ready to have this month over! I just hope July is better, but I am not going to count on it.

Final Update: Rocky Mtn Saver: 11/30 NSD, 9/30 CSD (<$5). I had an unexpected NSD on Saturday, Woo-hoo! Sorry for those that didn't quite make their goals this month, but some months are just like that. May was one for me. Hmph.
Happy Monday, and Onward to July!
