Yesterday was a spend. I bought a baby present and a big sister present for a friend's kids, some clearance summer stuff for next year for mini-D, then picked up a new sleep shirt for myself. Target has some nice ones now, they come down past my knees and actually have some shape to them. I don't have to worry about flashing mini-D when we make breakfast. They are short sleeved too.
QOTW- It is all in one place, but probably not that accessible. It is in the back of a basement closet. The other thing we'd grab is the box DH made for our wedding which has other keepsakes as well.
Ruby- Most of my pics are uploaded on shutterfly, so they would be replaceable, but if I had time I'd start grabbing those as well.

Hmmm....my response seems to be lost. But I was going to add that Honey's quilts are beautiful!! I'm looking at them now.
I'll come back later and see if my response posted before I try to recreate it.

The pictures I'd be most worried about are the ones from my childhood/teenage years. I was HUGE into photographing everything and making albums and those can't be replaced. But I know where they are (for now). Not sure where they'll end up once that room is the nursery...
we need a bigger house lol

Thanks Redruby - I'm due December 31. ;D This pregnancy has pretty much sucked. I've been really sick, tired, and have had most 1st trimester symptoms. I'm on a prescription to help with the nausea/throwing up, but it just sort of takes the edge off. Not complete relief.
As for pictures, we all of our digital pics are on my flash drive in my purse. So, as long as I grab my purse, I have my flash drive. Things like our wedding photos and pics growing up would be a lot more complicated for us.
ETA: duh I came here to talk about my appointment with doc. Everything went well. ONly one baby in there and we saw the heartbeat. It was a relatively quick appointment. I haven't been to see my OB since i had DS. Choosing instead to go to the NP in the office for convienence. But it was good to see him again. Most of the nurses are the same as well. So that is nice to see. DH and DS went with me. DS was sweetheart of coarse.

Muttley- Yeah for the good check up. Here's to hoping those first trimester symptoms go away soon and you can enjoy being pregnant the next few months.

Yesterday was a full on spend day - after my 3 hour skype consult I picked up groceries at Costco so I wouldn't have to go back out this week.
Hoping to make the rest of the week - at least until Friday - non spendy.
Eeek, just got notice of a guest post that's needed by Thursday. Off I go..

Sorry I am late with this but today is MrsL's birthday. rant ahead. Feel free to skip it. I just need to get it out. I have been late with everything this month. I didn't get my bills paid until yesterday. They were due the 1st. I didn't get my assignment sent in until yesterday. It was due yesterday but I was not going to spend $20 to get it to the college today. It was already late so a couple more days won't matter. I am on vacation but I have slept in until "gasp" 10:30 am every day and I am still tired when I get up. I haven't been eating well, just when the mood strikes me. That may be once a day or just a few pretzels to ward off the hunger pains when they hit. I have a hit list I want to get done while I am home and have finished maybe 2 or 3 of the 150 things on it. I don't go back to work until Monday the 11th. I NEED MOTIVATION. It is He77 when you are the only one and no one comes to see you so you don't care what the place looks like. I don't have any place to put anything and it is all setting around in boxes and tubs. I have gotten rid of 6 tubs of stuff that went to the Church's give away and some went to the trash because they weren't savable. I have gone through 10 boxes of my Mom's stuff that was stored down at my GF's place and found a quilt and some of her jewelry. Mom died in '04. I have 3 more boxes here that need to go to the Church and one tub that needs to go to my Church. I did not do all of that this week, just so you know. It has been an on going process. I just need to move some more stuff out of my place and maybe that will make me feel better.

redruby - Welcome back, it's good to see you. Rocky - I had not heard that phrase before regarding a haircut: "Magic Weight Loss Day". Cute. moneysquirrel - I just KNEW you would be prepared with your emergency plan considering where you live. muttley - I had to laugh at your comment about where you were pulling information from. So proud of you for admitting that! And that is good news about the baby being okay. I didn't know that about your due date - trying to sneak that little tax deduction in under the wire huh? MrsLynch - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!3cats - You feel free to rant whenever you want to. I can completely relate to not feeling as though you have any motivation or care what your home looks like. I struggle with that myself during this period of unemployment. However, on your behalf I am angrier that your deadbeat son and his family have the run of YOUR house and you feel stuck in the living quarter you have. I also hate that you are so far away as I would be at your place daily helping you. dakota - I wanted to thank you for your kind comments about my quilts. It's nice when other people also think you have done a good job. Also, let me know if you would like to talk about doing something with the handkerchiefs that you said are just hanging out in drawers and such. I would be more than willing to talk about making a quilt for your family with them. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO for tomorrow - I have an appointment with the Oral Surgeon to evaluate the best method of having two teeth removed - one of them a wisdom tooth. Is it too early in the day/week to start drinking?

Honey - Everyone knew where the number came from. It was either coming out of my rear or my bosss. It was a county project and even the guys at the county didn't have a clue, just wanted us to have a number. So we did. 3cats- Hugs to you. Sometimes we just don't feel motivated. Anyway, my other big deal of the day was that our project came in way under our projected numbers! Sweet! I had estimated about $400k and the winning bid was $220k. This is the first project in the county where the structure was going to be "design-build" meaning the contractor gets to hire an engineer to do the actual structural design (not us). So, we are glad to get that over with.

dakota: did you ever think of making a butterfly quilt out of the hankies? My Mom made each of us one out of the hankies from her sisters and her Mother. They are beautiful. I think it was Honey that sent me the directions for making them. If you want I can get them copied and send them to you. They are really easy to do. I could even send you a square of one done so you could see what they look like.

muttelyn - at least you can hold this over his/her head for the next 18 years Plus giving Ben a sibling will be worth it in the long term - it sounds like he loves his little play buddies nearby. mrslynch - happy bday! honey - congrats on the non smoking! 3cats - how can we help on the motivation? I'm sure the ladies who are available would love to chat with you to help you from feeling alone in your time off! I've got a crazy week ahead but feel free to reach out so we can support you! redwagon - I keep finding adorables twin photos and I'll keep adding them to that Pinterest board. Also reeneejune knitted me a cool wrap for baby shoots awhile back if you need some props done before the birth. NSD today! Just payed some bills online that were business related. I'm so ready to get out to the Bay Area for a few days and meet up with some colleagues. I'll have five or six meetings in 3 days so lots of walking around. Thankfully my session with a nutrition expert was great to get ideas on what food to pack with me. Especially since my favorite co-working space in the city closed down

Rocky Mtn Saver: 2/30 NSD, 2/30 CSD (<$5). My streak continues! ;D I'm going for NSD today. I brought lunch to work and don't have any plans to run any errands. Now, if only I can avoid walking past the vending machines and cafeteria... Why does everything in there always look better than my yogurt?

Yesterday was a spend too. Ugghh. I worked with someone who teaches the Franklin Method for releasing tense muscles and relaxation to decrease my jaw clenching and it has worked so well that I decided to take her class this month to learn other techniques for easing muscles. So I paid for that yesterday and had my first class. Also my mom called me at 3pm to see if DH & I wanted to go to the soccer game last night. She is on a hospital board and they have a suite at the field and since it wasn't a regular game had some of the tickets available. Luckily DH's parents were happy to take mini-D overnight and we were able to go. My mom wasn't sure if there was going to be food or not so we swung by Wendy's and grabbed a burger, then we got there and there were burgers, chicken fingers, shrimp, salad, and lots of munchie stuff. Oh well. The game was fun our team won. 2-0.
Honey/3 Cats- I am definitely going to look into doing the handkerchief quilt. I'm having my mom check and see what she has and I'll look through my hope chest and see what I have. Honey if you could send me some instructions that would be great.
Rocky- Because the grass is always greener. ;D I do the same thing some days, I just don't want to eat what I brought. Stay strong.
3cats- For motivation, what I try when I have no desire to do any work around the house is 15 mins of cleaning. If at the end of that I'm still not motivated I stop, but most of the time that turns in to 30mins or an hour of housework. Sometimes I just have to start doing it even though I don't want to, then I can power through a lot more.

I'm always interested in non-surgical, non-permanent treatment options.

startsmart - I'll have to check your board again! So cute! We need to get some cute hats and stuff, I think. maybe some santa hats for a Christmas card photo.
Dakota - hmm I might have to check out this Franklin Method. I clench my teeth all the time.
My aunt is all gung ho to make me a baby quilt. Can't wait until she realizes she has to make me two. hehe.

Rocky/Red- I was really skeptical about it, but I was also at the point that I was in constant pain and couldn't unclench my jaw unless I was talking or chewing. My "neutral" position was clenched tight. I met her at a social event and she said she was a "movement magician" and explained what she did, so I asked if she could do anything for clenching and she said she had clenched and was able to stop by learning the technique. The woman I work with has a degree in anatomy and worked with me to show me different pressure points and massage techniques that have almost eliminated clenching while awake and I think even reduced it while asleep. I still occasionally wake up clenching, but for the first time in years, I have woken up with a dry mouth, which means at least for part of the night I was not clenching. I still wear my night guard, but have stopped wearing the dayguard and no longer have to chew gum when I'm not wearing the dayguard. I do the massage/pressure points at least once a day, more on days when I feel myself starting to clench. I went to her initially back in mid-April and have only had one day where I felt that I was clenching all the time. It was recently and I realized I hadn't done the massage/pressure points for a few days. Once I did those a few times I could feel the muscles releasing again. I clenched for at least 5 years, probably longer, so I'm guessing that it will take a few more months of reminding my muscles what relaxed is for it to completely go away.

ss - LOL. Yeah, I can so do that to this poor kid. Do you realize what you put me through when I was pregnant with you? I am excited about Ben having a little brother or sister. We ask him everyday "are you ready to be a big brother" and he goes "mmm... no". So, good financial news Wednesday. 1. The boss bought us all lunch (ok not really a big deal, but a nice perk). 2. We get a bonus on Friday. It is just going to be essentially 2 weeks pay because about 1/3 of the billing for the year is still outstanding, but it works for me. Definately makes me happy. My boss was being all apologetic about it not being more and I was like eh no, I'll take it. So, he figures he'll give us a second one in September and then our end of year bonus in December. 3. I think we have the food all worked out for our long weekend at a cabin with my extended family. My brother and sister volunteered for a whole bunch of stuff before we had a chance to. So, our food contribution is pretty minimal (of course we only have 2 adults and a 2 year old). My mom was planning on bringing all this stuff, but they just have to bring lasagna for one night and ice cream because my sister volunteered for so much stuff (she does have a family of 5, with a 14 year old, 12 year old and 8 year old). My sister even said if mom brough cookies, my sister would provide them with sandwhich stuff for my parents lunches (we are doing picnic lunches) which made me laugh. Anyway, so the cabin is paid for. Food is settled (still have to buy it). Our float trip is reserved - not sure how we are splitting that one up, but it should only cost us at most $60 (might only be $40). BIL is watching the dogs (for free). Only thing besides food left to buy is a life jacekt for DS. Fortunately, the jackets in his "weight class" start at his current weight, so we should get several years of use out of whatever we get. Only 8 days before we leave. The trip should only be a little more than a tank of gas as well. It will be the first time in 12 years that my brother, sister, and I have all spent the night in the same house! Scary.

Okay .... totally off topic (sort of) ... but how weird!!! I have been watching "Hoarders" from A&E on my computer and WOW!!!! It's one of my ex-boyfriends!!! and his obnoxious OCD wife. I can say that because I knew her before they got married as she worked in his office. He and I dated for three years, I lived with him platonically for 8 months, and we were friends for years afterwards. And When I knew him he was a compulsive neat-nik who didn't want animals in his condo as they made a mess. Geoff is married to Kerrylea and they were on this episode. www.aetv.com/hoarders/video/kerrylea-lauren-17125032?pfilter=ALL%20VIDEOS#17125032I just found this so startling as it suddenly was on my screen.

Rocky Mtn Saver: 3/30 NSD, 2/30 CSD (<$5). Well, me and the NSD/CSD's had a good run, but I think it's done for now. Got another NSD yesterday, but I have some things I will have to spend money on over the long weekend (I don't work Fridays). A set of tires on Friday, for one thing. Boo! And my friends want to go to the Renaissance Faire on Sunday. Yay! ;D Other friends want to do a movie on Saturday. So we'll just try to keep it in budget for now!

Wow Honey that would be shocking.
Yesterday was an NS, at least for me. I know DH bought something, but I only count my spending not his. He cracked the handle on our shovel and went out bought a new handle, so he could continue working on the backyard.
I think we are going to put the house back on the market, I'm still not 100% on this, but if it is going to take 6-8 months to sell now is the time to do it. Ugghhhh!! The house down the street sold for $126K, but they gave about $8K back to the buyer, so it sold for about $118K. So if we sold for $114 , we'd still have a decent amount to put down on a new house. I'm just not sure whether to go with a traditional Realtor or the guy we used last time. He puts the box on the door, the sign in the yard and listing on MLS, plus he'll show to anyone who calls him, but no open houses, no Realtor previews, no other marketing, but his commission is less. I lean towards him because I really don't think open houses work and it saves us about $2K in commission.
Muttley- Congrats on the bonus! That sounds like a fun trip. We did something like that when mini-D was about 2 months old. It was my parents, us and DB and family. So 6 adults, a 7 year old and 2 babies. We survived with only 1 bathroom. The cabin we used had a bunk house detached that my parents and the 7 year old used, while those of us with little ones not sleeping through the night got the actual cabin. We took turns providing breakfast and dinners at the cabin, lunches we ate out as we were doing sightseeing and not near the cabin usually. The only time we had sibling conflict was when everyone was starving and DB decided he didn't want a "quick" service restaurant in a city we weren't familiar with and I grabbed the cell phone from my mom and told him to make decision in the next 3 blocks or turn around and go back to the place we passed. (We were in 2 cars at the time).

dakota and red - We are really excited about the trip. There will be 14 of us in all - 6 kids and 8 adults. We have 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in a 2 story cabin overlooking the Current River. I'm hoping DH and I got the 2nd upstairs bedroom (I think all of us are giving my parents the master). Then my siblings and all of their kids can have the basement with the 3 bedrooms and the bunk space. My youngest niece is allergic to soy. So every meal has been planned out so that she can eat most of it. My brother and SIL don't go out to eat with her because it is such a hassel to figure out what has soy in it and what doesn't.

Yesterday was a CSD because it was cash only. I got in and out of Wal-Mart in 5 minutes which made me obscenely proud! New collars for the dogs since Nixon chewed Wilson's off and some batteries and Comet. All the essentials lol
I'm up and awake enough to work way too early today but I do have a full day of calls and work ahead. Time to get breakfast so I have enough energy to do it all.

Dakota - we first saw our house at an open house! I'm not sure if our realtor would have brought us there anyways, but we knew we wanted it when another woman walked in. Blue and I independently thought "Get out of my house!" and that's when we knew we'd be putting in an offer.

Red: Twins WOW! I always wanted twins. Congrats. Diapers.com need I say more. Muttley: Good news
I am starting my DD#3's potty training this summer since I am out for the summer. She will be two this month and both of my other girls potty trained at that age. We were doing so well until pooped in it and stood up and saw it. Total freak out. Now she is scared of the potty, so maybe she is not quite ready.
I have 3/15 NSD's. I should get another today. Yesterday we got haircuts.
