Spend day today. DH took the car to get inspected (and it passed ) and then I renewed the plates online. I had 2 whole days to spare. That will get us through May 2014. I hope we have new to us vehicle by then, but who knows. Red- Glad your weekend went well. Well my anti nausea drugs helped some today, but I've actually been really nauseous all day today. I'm guessing they are the only thing keeping me from puking. I had a decent nights sleep last night except for the storm that woke me. We needed the rain, but I could have used a night without the interruption. But I toughed it out pretty well at work and was snarky and upbeat as much as possible. We got another project! YIKES! I'm trying not to freak out, but I am. At least it means a good bonus and possibly a raise. Although I think my boss is going to stick with giving raises at the first of year instead of doing "anniversary" raises (which mine is in June which is why I brought it up). I don't really care as long as I get a raise when the company is doing well. I did forget to change my withholdings. So, I'm going to get with my office manager tomorrow and do that.

Whew busy day and I finished up by buying dinner and a drink. Paid cash so it's still a CSD.
Had an awesome networking event tonight where I got to meet people from my group all over the US. Even one guy whose site gets 70 million hits a month. a MONTH. Crazy.

27/31 NSD 3/31 CSD
Not too bad considering all that has happened this busy, busy month.
AZmom--you are an amazing mom. I am sure you are an amazing asset to your moms group
Constanz--new clothes after a diet are a reasonable expense. Don't beat yourself up about it.
3cats---We have just had two clear dry days after 5 rainy very cool days but we are expecting a couple more days of cold rainy weather. I prefer this to the 90+* we had last month.
Dakota-- I like the Greek yogurt better and there is really no difference in the process. It is almost like soft serve ice cream when I stir in fresh fruit. I love making frozen yogurt using frozen fruit in the blender/processor.

dakota- HUGS- I am not as strict now, but even as an aunt, I was pretty strict on what TBear and ZBear could watch when in my care. And I still have shows that are not permitted in my home- I don't care what they are allowed to watch at home. I think you were right.
azmom- One of the girls I ran with in high school was Mormon- anytime one of us girls would get stuck on something more difficult than a quadratic equation in school she had the same answer for us everytime- pray on it. Your church is important to you. I can see you teaching- but it has to be a decision you come to in a way that you are comfortable with.
If anyone is wondering why I am up this time of the morning I am getting ready for an inspection. Again.

Rocky Mtn. Saver: 7/31 NSD, 9/31 CSD (<$5). Well, no CSD/NSD yesterday. It's been like this all month... little things pop up inconveniently almost every day. I am doing my best to get a NSD today, though. I brought lunch and snacks for work and I have no time to stop after work. So it should be good. Sadly, I won't quite make my NSD goal for the month, but the month didn't run as quietly as I'd been expecting. What can you do but try again next month!

Yesterday was an NS. Today I'll probably end up buying a book. We have an author coming to speak at lunch and the book sounds interesting.
DH understands why I was PO at him and agreed that he'll have my back the next time. That is really what I was so upset about.
AZmom- It sounds like that would be a great place for you to start your teaching, I know you would be wonderful at it, but let your heart decide.
Tonight I was supposed to meet some friends at a park for a picnic playdate, but one of their son's fell yesterday and broke his leg, so I think we'll end up postponing.
SES- I'll have to try it frozen, it is nice and thick. I've been stirring in blueberries and strawberries with just a touch of honey. Yummm!
MizBear- Good luck on inspection.
Constanz- Way to go on the weight loss. I've stalled on mine, but have had to buy a bunch of new clothes too. My shorts were so loose that they were hanging on my hips.

Bought a new pump for the AC and it's up and running again. Going to try to return the old one, as it's the same exact pump and just broke on us. We're also going to look into better quality options than what they have at home depot. They shouldn't keep breaking! But at least it was $35 instead of $8k!!
Went to dinner with friends and the guy insisted on paying. He ate half my burger (I offered it) so I guess it makes sense. Free dinner! woo!

huh. So I'm trying to fill in my calendar and it looks like the middle of each week is a big question mark. I'm relatively certain that those were NSD but I'm going to review my receipts before declaring so. Looks like 16 or 17, perhaps as high as 23 NSD this month... nice!
Looking over my editorial calendar and wow do I have a lot of writing to complete this coming month. It's a good thing just going to take a lot of time to refine and polish the ideas into a compelling article. Better get moving!

GIN: CONGRATS SO HAPPY FOR YOU! RED, SES, DAKOTA, MIZBEAR and all. Thank You for your feedback and kind words. I will decide later today. I'm pretty sure I will accept because as of right now all of the reasons for me not doing it are pretty selfish. DH and I talked (again) about it last night. The first time didn't go so well because he started his side of the conversation with asking if I would get paid which turned our discussion into a whole other conversation leading into a fight. Anyhow this time around he helped me talk through it and provided me guidance and support I was looking for the first time around. Muttleyn: Thanks. I'm excited anotherhousewife.com/?p=2467to be back racing! I posted the recap on my blog today Mizbear: I am not Mormon but I do pray about all my decisions It's easy for me to slight what I think the answer I am receiving in prayer to accommodate my flesh so it helps to get confirmation from others or another set of eyes on the situation. Dakota: I would be pissed at DH too in that situation. Unfortunately DH and I have gone rounds on things about him backing me up but he gets stuck on the actual situation not being a big deal and not understanding it's not the "situation" it's HIM and US staying united. A vicious cycle but we are working on it. Don't worry I am a strict mom too. Yesterday was CSD and today will be too...Oh how I need to get back in the swing of NSD!

Dakota--I tried freezing come of my blended strawberry yogurt in the freezer and it turned rock hard and difficult to eat. Since then I have always used the blender and frozen fruit to get frozen yogurt.

update; 27/31 NSD, 27/31 NEO, $100 in savings. Well I made my goals of NSD of 25 but I wanted to get more in savings. Oh well. There is always next month. Speaking of next month, does any one have a name for June? Justify Spending June? Just Saving June? Just Do It June? I know there are a lot more out there, but I just can't think right now. I am tired and my eyes are hurting so I am going to take a nap.

LOVE IT!
I need to be more judicious with many things- I'm pretty good with my budget- just have everything else screwed up.

Rocky Mtn. Saver: 8/31 NSD, 9/31 CSD (<$5). I won't quite make my goals this month, but I am going to try to squeeze one more CSD out of today. Got an NSD yesterday. I'm going to try to plan June a little better so I have a better run of NSD's. But it's all good, because it's PAYDAY!

Honey - Did you know it is international no tobacco day? I hope your no smoking is going well. I was freakin sick this morning. 45 minutes after taking zofran, I'm sitting at the toilet losing my oatmeal. UGH!!! I did come into work late. I just tried to get a little bit of rest after that. Then I picked up breakfast at McDonalds. Not sure why that sounded like a good idea, but it did. We have free tickets to the minor league baseball team in town today. We'll get supper at the ballpark. Hopefully, the rain will be out of the area by then. We had this super hot, dry May and the night we have tickets to the game it is only 60 degrees and rainy! Nuts.

Final Update: 15 NSDs and 8 CSDs
I am now finished with this school year. Except for some prep work during the summer I have a few weeks off.
I am still in the process of getting the house back in order. I made a big dent in the chore list last weekend but still have several areas that need work.
I am hearing thunder so I will try to check back in later today.

Final count: 18 NSD 7 CSD 6 SD
Feel pretty good about this - the spend days were pretty spread out and covered things like dog food, gasoline, a wal-mart trip and a few supplies at Osh. Plus brunch with my accountability buddies.
